Somerset Millennium Makati

What is my idea of a "rewind" and "reset" from all my busy schedule?
Spending time with the family for sure!  No, it's not completely "relaxing" per se but I like spending time with them with a "staycation" or just be anywhere as long as it is with them.

As I worry about me and my son's "separation" before my Bangkok trip, it was a perfect timing to spend that weekend (before I leave the country) with him, letting him explore new places, new environment.  Just because, I want him to know there are so much more in this world!

Again, it wasn't as completely relaxing (as moms can relate) BUT, Somerset Millennium Makati was able to reset all the tired buttons --- will let you know how they were able to manage it.

Let me start by talking about the property first.  Located at the heart of Legaspi Village in Makati City, it is walking distance to Legaspi Park, Restaurants, Greenbelt Mall and you can even join Legaspi Sunday Market (which I always wanted to visit but my house is quite far!)

I will be very direct with the requirements of the room.  I used to be "Okay" with any rooms, but since turning into a mom with an active toddler who has a lot of preference, I am very particular with the "cut" of the rooms.  I prefer bigger space, lots of sunlight and of course, a bed big enough for a kid who prefers to lie down horizontally.  Most importantly, it must have "homey" feel so my son won't go screaming his head out shouting: "Let's Go Home!" if the place looks too "stiff".

Ang daming requirements no?  I KNOW....but thankfully, Somerset Millennium Makati passed our standards and actually gave us so much more!

The room we stayed in is a One-Bedroom Premier.  The room has undergone renovation giving the room a more contemporary-feel.  I love the extra jazz of modern furniture.

Weekend Food Trip at: Tony Roma's Glorietta

Happy Sunday!
It was a super busy week for me and the coming week won't be any different!  It's good though, I am not complaining, I am thanking God everyday for giving me opportunities to work with various people and for giving me the energy to go through each day with a smile!  Well, I also have another secret..... I reward myself by...EATING!

I look forward mostly to weekends because our family bond over food!  I take off my apron and we usually dine out and enjoy our not-so-quiet dinner inside restaurants!  Though Tony Roma's has been around for quite some time, it came as a surprise for me when I realized Mr. AMW haven't dined in this restaurant!  As you all know, I'm not a steak or ribs girl, that's why Mr. AMW seldom request for restaurants he knew I wouldn't be able to have much food choices, so sweet isn't he?

What perfect timing when the restaurant isn't as packed and there was a BDO promo so we had this dish for 50% off!

Weekend Food Trip at: The Rabbit Hole

I am always on a lookout for new restaurants!  I am not a food blogger but Mr. AMW and I fondly call ourselves foodies-for-life!  We love to bond over food and just chill!  That's how we started when we were dating and that's how we still are even after getting married.

When I was searching for the next AMW Workshop Series location, I was lucky enough to have a chat with fellow blogger Maxine Marcelino and she told me about her family restaurant The Rabbit Hole!  After seeing photos of the restaurant through her phone, I knew I had to give the restaurant a visit and it was the best decision because aside from ending up doing AMW Workshop Series 3 there, we also added another The Rabbit Hole as one of our Favorite hangout place to date!

With my favorite The Rabbit Hole Cafe Mocha

TEAM AMW's Lunch pre-workshop

MUST-TRY! *AMW Approved*
T.R.H. Hickory Spareribs
Php235.00
Pork belly cooked so tender drizzled with hickory barbecue sauce served over plain rice.  This dish really won our hearts!  This particular dish reminds us so much of our favorite "college restaurant" that has already been closed called AKU.

-------------------------
Even with my super busy schedule, I'm glad I was able to squeeze in an hour or 2 to color and treat my hair!  I was contacted by Ria, PR Consultant for Hair Philosophie, weeks ago and it was funny how our schedules won't match!  When the day has finally arrived, It was great to finally meet the lovely girl who was kind enough to fix my salon appointment!

Hair Philosophie salon is located near Salcedo Park and location was easy to find!

As soon as I got in, the "candy area" caught my attention after the FREE WIFI sign!  All you need to do is ask for candies and ask for the WIFI password, I went for the latter and forgot about the candies and honestly speaking?  I'm having regrets!  *laughs*  Those are peppermint candies!!!
