AMW Version: Smoke-ready Summer!

Happy mid-week!  After sharing my nail art for the week, I am sharing another version I've done on my *ahem* gorgeous face!  hahaha  Come on!  Give it to me, this is my blog anyway so you have no choice but...to keep on reading!  (please do!) hahaha

I've decided to play a bit with the smokey look as it's actually nice for people with small eyes!  I've also used a very light brow pencil for those readers who asked why their brow powders or pencils make their brows super dark!  The secret is the shade!   This is the lightest brow pencil shade from Paul & Joe.

Wondering if you'll believe me if I say
these are my original lashes?
(Are you shaking your head?)

AMW Diagram

I used my Urban Decay Primer Potion as base

Step 1:
Though I plan to create a dark smokey look, I used an aqua shade underneath.  Applied Ulta's Deep Sea eyeshadow all over the lids.

Step 2:
With Ulta's Galaxy Eye Shadow, pat on the color on top of the blue base that I've created on step 1.  Blend well and add as you go on.  Do not worry about fall-outs at this stage, you can use a huge powder brush to brush it off afterwards.

Use a pencil brush to apply on the lower lash line.

Step 3:
With Ulta's Calla Lily, apply on the brow bone area including the inner corners of the eye and inner lower lash line.

Step 4:
Lined my eyes with Stila Smudge Pots in Black with the remaining gel liner on the brush, apply a bit on the lower lash line to define your eyes.
Filled my brows and color them light with Paul & Joe Eyebrow Pencil no. 4.  Shade is equivalent to Blonde.

Applied false lashes.
I used EO Lashes from KKCenterHK A88 Lashes
with DUO lash glue
The lashes may look too wild and fake on box but once applied on the eyes, it works perfectly on me and it looks amazing on photos! Very lightweight and it doesn't make me teary-eyed as compared to similar style of lashes.

AMW Version: "Color Blocking" Look

Hi everyone, I am a tiny bit proud of myself as I am able to do one version a week!  YAY!  *clap clap clap*  Well thanks to readers who are so sweet to request for it, I never thought it would give impact to you!  I am glad it did and I am glad I was able to brighten your day even on the cyber world!

Like I said over the past "AMW Version: Twiggy Inspired Summer-Ready Makeup", I will be doing a series of summer related make-up for those enjoying the summer!  Of  course, technically, less is always the best on a hot summer day!  This tutorial is probably best to do on summer parties you need to attend!

In fashion, Color Blocking is quite famous and I've seen models and actors/actresses wearing the Color-Blocking styles.

Color blocking refers to using 2 or more colors complementing each other in a creative way!  Imagine the costume of Spiderman?  Well, I am not doing Spiderman-inspired make-up but something more summery...blues and purples....

 AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Apply MAC shadesticks in Beige-ing as base.

Pat on Ulta's Deep Sea eyeshadow all over the lids going beyond the crease.

Step 2:
Flip the same flat shader brush, apply PAC Pearly Blue (my favorite bright blue eyeshadow to date) on the crease area going 1cm beyond.  Add as much as you want  and use a blending brush to gently blend in Ulta's Deep Sea shade and PAC's Pearly Blue shade.

Step 3:
To enhance the brightness of the blue eyeshadows, I apply white pearly eyeshadow on the outer corner, below the brows with Majolica Majorca BR742 palette.  Use the same color to apply the inner lower lashline for a bright look.

Step 4:
Using a pencil brush, I applied Milani's Shock eyeshadow on the lower lashline.

Step 5:
Create black eyeliner on the upper lash line with Revlon's ColorStay Liquid Liner in Black.

Step 6:
To make the eyes pop even more, apply Lancome's Le Crayon Kohl Pencil in Aqua.

 Applied A10 falsies from KKCenterHK
Used Sassy Brush-on Eyelash Glue
(lashes are very soft  and feels so light)

Filled in my brows with powder brow powder

My Color Blocking look for the week :)

What's on the rest of my face?

For the Face:
Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover SPF18

 On Cheeks:
Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder in Bronze

 On Lips:
Prepped my lips with Kiehl's LipBalm #1
MAC's Pink Nouveau

Wear that huge smile and I'm showing my smiley baby as well!
Yes, it has been awhile Smiley Baby wasn't able to show up!

How do you wear your summer makeup?

Askmewhats Version: "Goddess" Look

Happy Monday! Start of the week, another look for you! I call this the "Goddess" look not because I am implying that I look like a goddess...yeah I wish! LOL I call this the Goddess Look because the main eyeshadow I used is called "Goddess" from the Urban Decay Book of Shadows which I got from my dearest friend Gracie!

Now I'm laughing, can you imagine if an eyeshadow is named "Paranoid"? And I'm calling the look "Paranoid" look, now that's fun!

The look I've created can be for day time or night time, you can add up the e/s to make it darker, it really depends on your comfort level and preferences!

Here's my creation

AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Prior to e/s application, apply your choice of eyelid primer. I am using Urban Decay's Primer Potion (UDPP).

Using an e/s brush, apply Goddess e/s from Urban Decay's Book of Shadow on the outer corner of the eye, blending inwards.

Step 2:

Using a small crease brush, gently apply Ulta's e/s in Turquoise on the inner thirds of the eye gently applying the inner thirds of the lower lashline too.

Step 3:

Gently pat on Ulta's e/s in Calla Lilly on the middle section of your eyelid.

Fun part? Use a bigger blending brush to gently blend in the harshlines. Do this gently so the e/s won't fall out.

Step 4:

Apply NYX's e/s in Skin on the browbone area going to the inner corner of the eye to blend in harshlines.

Step 5:

Line your upper lashline with Stila Smudgepots in Black using CS eyeliner brush.

Line the lower lashline and waterline with Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-on eyeliner in Zero.

Curl the lashes with your favorite lash curler
and apply 2 coats of Mascara

(Shu Uemura's Curler and Clinique's High Impact Mascara)

Goddess Eyes

On my face:

Primed my face with P&J Moisturizing Primer
I Nuovi Studio Cake Foundation in 3Y

Set the foundation with Joppa's Finishing Silk
in Original Formula Sheer

On my cheeks:

NYX Blush in Desert Rose
applied using MAC's 187 brush

On my lips:

MAC Viva Glam V
Lancome Juicy Wear Top Coat

Final Look

Someone asked me how I style my hair. On this FOTD, I blowdryed my hair and applied Hollywood in a Bottle by Nick Chavez Flocker to create volume! On most days, I just air dry my hair and apply serum!

Keep that smile comin'
Stay happy!
