Arigatou Gozaimasu!!! Toma!

(Arigatou Gozaimasu = thank you very much)

You know that when I started to speak in different language (check heading), I am way beyond touched, happy, excited, overwhelmed!

A wonderful blogger-friend Toma of Makeup Masala, knew about my complaints on products I've been longing to try but I can't find them in my country. She's probably a mind-reader too, cause she knew I wanted to try ELF nail polishes so bad! (lol, in truth, I saw her ELF polish post and asked about it coz I told her I didn't even know they made polishes!) She then offered to send me ALL the colors available from the ELF nail polish collection! I was just thinking "a couple" of the colors, but she made my life easy by sending me EVERYTHING!!!

Here's the wonderful package I received after almost 3 weeks!
This is a HUGE package and I love that she even chose her bubble envelope carefully!
It was very difficult to ruin this envelope (I tried) :P

She bubble wrapped it again inside
BIG bubble wraps that I tried to press hard
But failed so I ended up using my sharp nails...
oooppsss....
Sorry, I got sidetracked just talking about this big bubble wrap

LOL (and NO, it's not a fetish)

What's even sweeter is she sent me a postcard with a lovely message
Toma dear, I WILL DEFINITELY have Fun!

It's also cute that she wrapped EACH of the nail polish
So it's like QUADRUPLE protected
Everything's safe and sound
(note from Author: Me and hubby had fun unwrapping this)

And here goes the
Nail Polishes PORN!

As I was chatting with my nail polishes,

I got a good conversation with them and they wanted me to tell you all...
that they are happy to arrive safe and sound, they did tell me it was a rough ride!
A bit jet lagged, but ready to work soon! *grins*
I can't wait to create more nail looks with my new nail polish collection
Again, thanks my dear Masala!
You are indeed an angel with the ability to send polishes! :D

Askmewhats Version: "Smokey Green-Eyed Monstress"

I seldom use greens because I don't have much green e/s in the past! LOL (what an excuse!) But I found myself leaning onto greens as greens look better on my skin tone than other dark colors! With my chinky and puffy eyes, I have to be careful in choosing a smokey eye look as it can make or break my overall look! (most of the time BREAK)

A little note about me, I am NOT a jealous GF or Wife, but if given a chance to be a green-eyed monstress, I can definitely do my part!!! For a day....VAMPY!

Here's my version of using different shades of greens to create a smokey green look! Hope you like it!

Let me break down the products I've used for my Green-Eyed Monstress Look!

  1. Maybelline Trio Eye Shadow Fresh Spring Green - all over lids
  2. L'oreal Soft Effects Moss - crease area
  3. Milani Garden Mist - inner corner of the eyes
  4. L'oreal Soft Effects Golden - highlighter

Not numbered:

  • L'oreal Hip Cream in Secretive - as base
  • Paul & Joe eyebrow pencil no. 2 - brows
  • Stila Smudgepots in Black
  • PAC B02 - blush
  • 4U2 Lipstick no. 7 (mixed with concealer and Nivea Caregloss)

Green-minded day...hmmmm....
Wanna watch X-rated films with me?
UH OH...am I in trouble? lol
(excuse me, I am over 18!)
Have a happy day!!! I am happy!!! FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE!

Askmewhats Reviews: PAC Blush On

I have been starting to get addicted to blushes now. And as read in my previous review on the PAC e/s, I got really impressed with their e/s quality so it's time for me to venture on their blushes!

I have bought this a couple of weeks or almost a month ago and I gave it a test first before doing this review. When you go to the PAC Counter and ask for their bestselling blush, the SA will definitely give you this blush color.

** Refill costs Php299.00 (approx $6.50)

The color is matte, peachy coral shade

When swatched 2x, without base

When applied on cheeks

As seen both sides

Askmewhats says ---

Pros
  • affordable
  • pigmented
  • color comes off really nice and "natural"
  • stays on (note from author: I have dry skin)
Cons
  • few blush choices
  • some colors have their own "case" while others are available ONLY in refill form

Tips
  • they are currently on sale til August 31st for Php199.00 ($4.35) $instead of Php299.00 ($6.50) <--- Darn! I bought too early!
  • OUT OF BLUSH TOPIC: if you are starting out on make-up and you needed an e/s palette on basic colors....here's a good news for people who planned to shop
ORIGINAL PRICED at Php 2,000 ($43.45)
ON SALE for Php 1,499.00 ($33.00)

Good while stocks last til August 31, 2008!!!

Your Askmewhats didn't purchase this e/s palette because I bought a couple of their products before their sale period. *weeps* That's why I wanted to take a photo and share it to you guys who are still "planning" to buy coz I am a "PRO SAVER!!!!"

Overall

PAC indeed is a good brand with promising products. They don't have a lot of color choices though.

Will I repurchase?

Yes!

Who's planning to purchase?
It's funny coz I'm getting jealous on whoever's getting this! LOL

Nail Art Tutorial: Simple Flower Blues

Hiya Askmewhats readers! Another nail art tutorial! A simple yet true cool blue as I've used the wonderful TFS Rainbow Blue Pearl as a base. (never thought I can use this color)

Step 1:

After cleaning your nails, put on nail polish base. Apply 2 coats of any cool blue nail polish. I use The Face Shop Nail Polish in Rainbow Blue Pearl.

Step 2:

Wait for a couple of minutes to let the polish dry (in my case, I used blow dryer).
Create petals by drawing a tear-drop shape (instead of the usual dots) I created 4 petals instead of the usual 5 as this petals are bigger in size. Create 2 dots for that "shooting star effect"

A closer look

Step 4:

Using any color, create a "bud". I used yellow as it will pop up more!

Step 5:

Using a pink nail art pen, create dots just below the black dots, to make the nail art more colorful

Step 6:

Using a glittery nail art pen, apply it on top of the black petal making sure to have some glitters on it to create a "lively" illusion

Step 7:

Top it with a clear polish to protect the nail art from chipping

Step 8:

Look back and enjoy your creation. Simple yet teeny-bop-py!

Inspired to do your own?

Do not be afraid!
I don't even care if it isn't perfect!

Imperfection is ART :D
