A Swap and a Whole New More!!!

I call Digital Angel Nabi my li'l sis because we became beauty blogging friends and we always kept in touch on what's happening in our lives! We've been talking about Life, Love and of course Beauty! We never actually talked about swapping but we share our likes and dislikes on beauty products and little did we know, we're already doing a swap!

I can't even remember what I swapped for because she added up so much more!!! I couldn't remember the "oooohsss" and "aaahhhsss" I did again! But definitely not porn-like! lol It's more on a kid -sounding OOOOOHHHHSSS and AAAAHHHHSSS!!!! Then it hit me that I'm not a kid, so I shut my mouth and emailed and her can't stop thanking her (and I think she wanted to kill me with all the thank yous...BEAR with me sis! It's your fault! lol)

Here's the package that I got from the Post Office
(they really have to open it and check it! I swear!)
(good thing you hid the drugs quite well Nabi LOL)

TADA!!!!!!

What's in the bag?

  • 78pcs e/s palette! (yay! I own one now!)
  • 4 Milani e/s singles (love love love this, she took time to research the colors I don't have)
  • Everyday Minerals foundation (now she's trying to influence me to go back to MMU foundation, I think she's winning)
  • L'oreal De-crease (I've been wondering how this works compared to UDPP, I just don't want to purchase as I still have 2 UDPP on stock)
  • Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer in Ivory (my COLOR!)
  • Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Blue (love blue liners)
  • Maybelline Lip Express Lipstick 'n Liner in One in Rush Blush (upto this moment, i still left it unopen, if it's open I have this bad habit of using new ones! lol)
  • Childish clips (that's how she call it, but I love it! I don't care! I'm using it! hahaha)
  • And a cute pouch and she put in the kitty memo with a lovely note!

Husband is still screwing back my jaw! LOL I'll be doing swatches as I go through reviews on each of them! If you want to see a certain swatch NOW! Let me know!

Final thoughts ---

I believe swapping is not only swapping about certain products, I honestly believe swapping is also nurturing a new friendship. You tend to get to know the person more, on what that person likes or wants. Swapping makes you want to make sure to give the person something she will appreciate and use! I am glad I am into this beauty blogging world! New friendships do blossom!

Who says making yourself pretty is superficial? I OBJECT!

Askmewhats Reviews: In2It ColourShine Lip Gloss

No color name COS06 is the product code
**Available at SM Malls, Crossing for Php229.75 (approx $5.00)

Hey everyone! It's weekend my side and I needed all the rest I can get! The week has been hectic, and thank goodness the typhoon didn't push through! Let me talk about a newly purchased gloss I made. By the way, eventhough my lips are full and I shouldn't be using a lot of lip glosses as it could magnify the "plump-ness" of my lips, I don't care! I love to use glosses as my lips are dry and I need all the glossiness and shine I can get! :D

I've stumbled upon a new lip gloss from In2It. I honestly tried to search for their website but I can't find any. I gave this a try as the brush looks just like Stila's Lip Glaze but the difference is, this one, you have to squeeze out the lip gloss!

I chose a shimmery pink toned color as I love pink lips! They have approximately total of 5-6 shades (sorry I didn't count). They have their shades ranging from peach, pinks, reds.

Here's how a new brush looks like

Press the tube and the gloss will come out

Apply it straight on your lips or on top of a lipstick

Askmewhats says ---

Pros
  • NON-STICKY (this is very important for me!)
  • affordable
  • high gloss and shine
  • doesn't have a strong smell (has a hint of strawberry)
  • handy, easy to bring along
  • the cap isn't the "click" type, you have to twist it til it closes, so won't get lost easily
Cons
  • it is difficult to control how much product would come out
  • I haven't tried the ever famous Stila Lipglaze so I can't seem to compare the staying power between the 2. But just like any other "not so expensive" gloss, it doesn't stay too long. Stays approximately 2 hours of continous talking and 1 sip on a cup!

Overall

This is an ok product. Color wise, definitely a lot of dupes out there. But what I really like about this gloss is the fact that it isn't too sticky at all! Done a kiss test to hubby and he said it passed his standard! LOL As he doesn't like the feeling of a sticky gloss when I kiss him *winks*

Will I repurchase?
I seldom repurchase lip glosses! I always tend to be unfaithful with lip gloss brands.

Before I go, I wanna ask,
"Can you handle sticky gloss?"
Me, I really can't! I hate the feeling!
I always ended up wiping my lips if it's too sticky!

A Winning Package from Makeup Masala and Tip for the Day!

Please don't hate me, don't think that I'm the luckiest gal in this world coz I've been posting some winnings a couple of times this week. Can I just say that they were all won a couple of weeks ago but as you all know, I live in a far away land of "bad" postal services that's why I got them all at once. <--- am I being defensive here? hahaha

Anyways, I won this from Makeup Masala's Lubriderm giveaway, I've been looking for a moisturizing lotion for my really really dry skin and when i saw Lubriderm giveaway, I jumped up the chance to give this a try, and the "giveaway" angels up there are on my side so I won!!! I'll do separate reviews on this when I got the chance to use them :D

Here's the package with the lovely Makeup Masala Logo

And see just how many freebies I got???
My skin is really happy now!
Thanks again Toma!

Anyways, let's get back to business. Aside from doing nail art, I've been cleaning my nails mostly on my own and I've been cleaning my mom's nails as well for years now. I wanted a complete set of nail care and one of it would include the Cuticle Remover.

I've had my cuticle remover filled in my "old' nail polish bottle as I find that brushing it to your nails is better than using a cotton. As cotton tends to absorb the liquid and I can't seem to get any of this product onto my nails, which means --- Wastage!

I haven't had any extra nail polish bottles for me to use, I'm glad I am "nosey" and I found this wonderfully cheap Cuticle Remover. It's always been there! At times, simplest things like this matters in making our "beautifying moments" breeze-y!

A closer look at the
Caronia Nail Care
Cuticle Remover
(30ML)

**Available at Watson's or Health & Beauty for Php11.00 (approx $0.25)

Instructions ---

  1. Start preparing the cuticles and nail bed for a manicure by removing old nail polish with a Nail Polish remover.
  2. Brush on a generous amount of this Cuticle Remover
  3. Allow cuticles to get soaked and soften before pushing
  4. After pushing, brush away excess cuticle and nail plate particles before you apply your desired polish

And the good thing? You can buy a full bottle of a cuticle remover and refill it!

A small step like this helps a lot in prettifying your nails!
You don't even need to use a nail polish!
A clean nail says so much about you!
So groom your nails and be pretty from head to toe...
Fingernails to Toenails :P

Askmewhats Version: "Sweet Meets Joe Black"

Black is black!
Black always ends up dark and smokey! But I wanted to touch a bit of "romance" in my smokey black look, that's when I added a hint of my favorite color --- PINK!

Let me show you a very simple diagram I've done :)

Products Used (eyes) ---

1. MAC Sushi Flower - all over lids, for baby soft pink base
2. Laura Mercier e/s in Black, then topped with LM e/s in Cobalt (for a bit of shimmer

3. MAC e/s in Carbon
4. ELF e/s in white - as highlighter and inside the corner of the eye

Products Used (not in diagram) ---

1. Stila Smudgepots in Black
2. Paul & Joe Curly Mascara in Black

Both eyes closed
This time, I've used the darker colors on my crease area
To create a more dramatic look!

And here goes nothing ---
but LOVE

dear Philippine Readers:
I've heard that a strong typhoon is coming over (again)
