I Wonder: "What's the function of a Pouch Organizer for You?"

Happy Humpy Wednesday!  I hope the week is treating you right.  On my side, I am loving the cool weather, which explains why I'm always on hibernation mode!  *laughs*

I have something to share today which I can also call my "Eureka Moment".  I have a favor to ask though, do not ask me where this pouch can be found, do not ask me the exact price of this, all I can do is refer you to any mall and I'm sure you can see similar product like the one on photo below available everywhere!

This cute pouch organizer was gifted to me by my high school friend!  (thanks Lot!)  During my younger years, I've been gifted similar gifts, though I appreciate it, I don't find it as mind boggling as today!  I am actually more excited to use this!  Maybe, because, I am a makeup artist now?

I've always been into space saving, I'm always a PRO for organization and I am quite proud of my organization skills!  If you have seen how I pack my train case through the years, you'll get the idea that my main focus is space saving!  Putting as many stuffs inside my train case minus the mess, minus the eyesore!

Especially now that I'm  doing hair as well, stuffs to bring are growing in number and I'm getting crazier by the minute finding more ways and products to help me sane! :P

This cute pouch can be folded in two and consists of two pouches made of clear plastic which can expand at a certain extent.   The clear plastic makes it easier to see what's inside the pouch and there's no need to rummage your stuffs to find what you need.  Each compartment can be zipped at your own convenience.

A closer look on why this pouch organizer made my heart flutter, it literally has a heart!

There is also an easy snap closure on both sides.

Here's the thing though, would you judge me if I say I am not using this yet?  Well, here's my dilemma, I have so many ideas on how to use this pouch ---
  1. Use this to store my makeup sponges, cotton wipes, cotton buds, mascara wands, disposable lip brushes, etc...
  2. Store my lipsticks and lip glosses.
  3. Store my makeup brushes (yes, it fits!)
  4. A pouch for all my hair stuffs --- hair clips, bobby pins, rubber bands, comb, brushes, etc..
  5. Use this pouch to store my essentials for client retouching!  I only need to take this pouch along with me when I'm on call.
  6. For my mascaras, eyeliners, eyebrow pencils,  primers.
  7. Just keep this and use this for travel!
 I Wonder:
"What Will You Put In This Pouch If You Own This?"

I'd LOVE to hear from you!  It'll be cool!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

Nail Art Tutorial: "The Sound Of Music" Nails

If I sing..."The hills are alive, with the sound of music....."
A lot of you will probably go "Uh???", not your era?  Hey!  Not my era as well!  It's actually my mom's favorite musical and we still have The Sound of Music vinyl record!  The turntable at my  mom's place is still working!  Love that scratchy sound each time we play our favorite track!

The reason why I'm talking about The Julie Andrew's Sound of Music, well, I've created nail art tutorial for all music lovers out there!  I am one!  I may not be the world's best singer but I love joining choirs when I was in school and I can definitely sing a tune or two!  Want proofs?  Invite me for Karaoke nights!  *winks*

Keep in mind that this is not an original design of mine, I actually saw this design somewhere when I was browsing a nail art magazine when I was in Shanghai a couple of years ago!  Thank goodness for good memory as it took me YEARS to remember something like this! *laughs*

Very simple and straightforward nail art with music notes

Step 1:
Apply your preferred base coat to protect your nails prior to polish application.  Using OPI Nail Lacquer in Suzi and the Lifeguard.  One coat is enough as I am trying to mimic the natural shade of a healthy looking nails!

Step 2:
Making sure the one coat of base polish is dry, create a nice sparkle on the top most part of your nails using any glittery polish.  I am using Mini Bourjois polish in gold.  I apply coats and coats until my desired look is achieved!

Step 3:
Using Prettynails' 2-Way Nail Art Pen in black, or if you don't have a nail art pen, you can purchase an art brush to draw music notes.

I prefer to do random notes on each nails adding up dots to create "sass!"  On the middle finger, I drew lines using L.A. Art Deco in black like that on photo below.

The lines represent the lines on the music notes, I drew random notes o top of the lines.

Step 4:
Making sure the music notes, lines and dots are COMPLETELY dry, apply a coat of your preferred top coat to protect you nails.

Simple yet effective nail art to show your love for music!  I am sure there are better ways to show your creativity with music!  Any other ideas out there?

AMW Reports: The Body Shop Blog Me Up, Buttercup!

Most events I've attended talks about the launch of a new product or product line, when I got an invite to attend The Body Shop's Blog Me Up, Buttercup! (ooh, love the title, so 'my generation'!)  It was a surprise that it was an event to learn something new!

Before I start talking about the event itself, here are the different variants of The Body Shop's Body Butter.  The collection is definitely growing!

Variants are: Olive Body Butter, Sweet Lemon Body Butter, Shea Body Butter, Moringa Body Butter, Strawberry Body Butter, Wild Cherry Body Butter, Grapefruit Body Butter and Satsuma Body Butter.

Here's the best part about the event!  We were grouped into 4 (each group has 3 members), we were told that The Body Shop Body Butters can be mixed base on your scent preferences!  It's refreshing to know as I have to admit, I may love a certain scent but I may not be loving it for the next 2-3 months, that's the reason why I don't finish up most of my Body Butters!

I was grouped with Michelle and Rowena! Scientists volt in!  We're all ready with the challenge!

We were given mini spoons and mini containers to create our own Body Butter line.  The S Cubed Team as we call ourselves, decided to look for our body butter base in this product line in which we instantly agreed on Olive as Olives stand for "Sexy" which is perfect for the summer!

I will try to remember the Body Butter combination we did:
1. Olive Body Butter + Grapefruit Body Butter
2. Olive Body Butter + Satsuma Body Butter + Moringa Body Butter
3. Olive Body Butter + Wild Cherry

After a lot of discussing, mixing, sniffing and tons of laughing!  We ended up choosing Olive Body Butter + Wild Cherry to present in front as our "Best Body Butter" out of the collection.

Thanks to the wonderful speech of Rowena and her strong scent of smell as our combination turned out to smell a bit like Melon and nobody could tell what are the ingredients used in mixing!  Because of that, we bagged the prize!  We won!

While the judges where busy, we had a mini game on "Name That Tune"!  Thank goodness the tune was during the 80s!  My favorite era!  Can I brag?  I won!  I'm an 80s baby!

Did you know that?
The reason why 80s music was played because The Body Shop Body Butters where launched during the 80s!

Winning is actually an added plus, but for me, attending this event is a winner itself because I learned that mixing Body Butters are possible to create your own unique scent that your nose would appreciate!  Now, I don't have reasons not to finish up Body Butters because I am so "tired of the scent already!", I suggest you purchase a nice container then mix your favorite Body Butter scents now!

Thanks to The Body Shop for such fun event, as a prize for winning the challenge, we got ourselves the combination that made us winners!

The wonderful people from The Body Shop Philippines and the bloggers!  I had fun!

Do you own The Body Shop Body Butters?
Are you game to mix and create your own Body Butter scent?
Let me know your possible combination!  I may give it a try!

Weekend Food Tripping at: Clawdaddy

The week passed by a bit too slow, or was it just me?  I was listless as early as Wednesday!  I guess all the "hyper-ness" from November-December finally sinked in!

That doesn't mean that I'll be staying at home sulking though!  After The Body Shop event (in which I will be reporting soon), Mr. AMW and I decided to go for a quiet dinner before we visit mom!  We met up at Shangri-la mall then and we've decided to finally skip our favorite Greek restaurant Cyma and head straight to Clawdaddy!

The reason why it was a first for us to try Clawdaddy is because the fact that I am allergic to seafood and the name of the restaurant, plus, the restaurant logo, etc.. has this huge crab on it!  Cute crabby but not too cute if they're real as they can give me really bad allergies!  Anti-histamines can help me out when they're shrimps and other seafood but the potency of crabs are just unexplainable!

I'm very happy when I took a peek on their menu and saw a lot of variations that I can try without killing myself! *lol*

Corn on Cob
FREE
Instead of the usual complimentary breads, they serve corn instead and I love how sweet tasting it is!

Sour Cream Mojos
Php125.00 (approx $2.80)
Instead of the usual nachos or fries, I've decided for some mojos as I haven't had mojos for the longest time!  When they name the Mojos Sour Cream, keep that in mind that they do mean Sour Cream!  The potatoes itself was showered with sour cream powder and the you can choose to still dip the potatoes with Sour Cream!  The taste is quite overwhelming especially to some who's used to "just a hint of sour cream flavor".  I'd appreciate it if they don't put that much sour cream powder!

Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich
Php345.00 (approx. $7.85)
This was served with fries.  Mr. AMW is a pro Philly Cheese Steak eater and he said this may not be the best amongst the rest, but this is definitely part of the "good PCSS" list!  I'm not a fan of their fries though.

Shrimps Etoufee
Php385.00 (approx. $8.75)
The best dish we ordered for the night!  Loads and loads of shrimps served in cream-based sauce with chopped red and green bell peppers!  Each ingredients does not overwhelm our taste buds!  2 words for you.. MUST TRY!

Barbeque Baby Back Ribs (Half)
Php398.00 (approx. $9.00)
This was served with 2 cups of rice, I'm glad we asked if we can change the other cup of rice into a different side dish.  They did gave us choices of corn on cob, fries, mashed potatoes or baked potato!  We decided for baked potato just because we wanted to try potatoes differently!  *laughs*

The ribs aren't that meaty but the sauce and taste definitely surpass our standards for ribs!

Just because it's CLAWDADDY, they have orange aprons for you to wear instead of the usual table napkins!  Just because, I'm a model of a...Bone! :P *wishes my Pomeranians are here with me, they'll love this!*

Clawdaddy's prices are all exclusive of 10% service charge.  Servers are knowledgeable and they are very helpful and friendly!  I have to advice everyone though that it took time for our food to be served though, so try not to dine in here when you are starving!

Company accepts cash and credit card payments.

Michelle Phan Signed Item + Instant Beauty Gift Pack! --- Another 2 Winners!

(Note from Author: I chose Fruit Machine instead of random.org because I find it better in terms of people seeing the winning names right away instead of a winning number, it's a personal choice of mine to choose this kind of random generator, hope you understand, thanks!)
