AMW Reviews: Pevonia Botanica Micro-Emulsified Massage Oil “Anti-Stress”

Happy Saturday everyone!
The week passed by pretty quickly and today, I'm off to spend quality time with my family as my brother will be leaving the country again after a week long vacation!  We're staying overnight in a hotel for relaxation, speaking of relaxation, I'll definitely bring my Pevonia Botanica product in which I will be reviewing today so you'll understand why I'm taking this with me!  There will definitely be some massaging session for both my mom and sister! :D

Pros

• Simple packaging that's perfect on my bath area.

• Hydrates skin immediately after use.  Moisture stays for the whole day.
• The product says "oil" but it's actually a light cream texture that gets absorbed into the skin easily.

Overall

The Pevonia Botanica Micro-emulsified massage oil is called "oil" amidst the light cream texture is due to the fact that it can activate the skin's natural oil release which helps the skin feels silkier and smoother.  The product is lightweight upon application and grease-free for the rest of the day.

Tips
from Pevonia

• Use as desired for a relaxing and renewing massage by applying a small quantity on areas of tension or all over your body and applying desired pressure. 
• Your skin's own warmth promotes the oil’s release and helps it become increasingly silkier.

• Best applied after shower or bath.
• I like applying more on areas that needed more moisture, my knees, my elbows and my ankles.
• Take time in application, if you worry about the product feeling heavy and greasy the whole day, wipe off excess "moisture" by patting your skin with a clean towel.
• It helps to have someone massage you.  Now that I can't reach my toes, Mr. AMW helps me apply lotion on my legs and feet before I go to sleep.
• Apply on pressure points like the bag of the neck, temple etc... for relaxation.
  

Will I repurchase?

I just did.  I have a friend who just gave birth to her second daughter in the US and I think she deserves some relaxation!  Well, she's probably reading this so I'm not saying anything more! :D

To whom do I recommend this to?

Anyone who needs to hydration plus relaxation.  This is perfect as gifts for busy moms and even single women out there who's busy with work!

Twist cap and squeeze tube in which I appreciate as I'm sure to get all the products inside!

A pump packaging will always be appreciated but I don't mind this.

Light cream texture in which I was a bit surprised as I was expecting "oil" to come out!  I'm glad it's not as I tend to worry about the greasy feel most oil-products give!  

Upon massage, the effect looks like regular lotion but its more absorbent than regular creams/lotions.

So far, this is my second Pevonia Botanica products that I've tried and both experiences are positive!  Their prices are a bit higher than regular skincare/bodycare but at the end of the day, if it works for you and can satisfy the needs of your skin, why not?  You deserve it!

Just in case, if you don't have the budget to purchase their wide range of products, you can always have a massage at The Spa as I believe they also offer Pevonia Botanica products there!  I actually learned about the brand during my stay in Shenzhen, China as the Spa place in which I bought my 1 year membership from uses all Pevonia Botanica products and both the facial and body care works for me!

AMW Baby Fashion: Greendays Organic Baby Clothing

I know I know!  It is too early for Baby AMW Fashion but who can resist?  We're a couple who loves cute stuff and can you imagine just how excited we are to shop for "cute" baby stuff during our first Baby Fair a couple of weeks ago?

Anyways, before I show you more of the baby stuff that we bought, Baby AMW received another gift from our friends from GreenDays Organic Baby Clothing!  Judging by the look of the box and packaging delivered, I originally thought someone was trying to make me fat by delivering me a cake!  Boy was I wrong, it was way better than a cake!

Super cute box that lifted my not-so-good mood that day!  Who can resist gifts that are well packaged?  I know I can't! 

If you can read Chinese, feel free to browse their website  as I enjoyed seeing all the cute organic clothing creations meant for our sweet little angels.  There are only a few organic clothing lines available in our country and I'm glad someone's brining GreenDays in!

The gift comes with cute sticker (in which I will stick in my Baby Album) and a super nice personalized card for Little AMW!

All of the products available at GreenDays are made from 100% organic cotton that's why their prices are a bit higher than regular baby clothes you see inside the mall!  I wouldn't mind spending a bit for baby AMW as he's my number 1 priority for now!  The quality of each piece are made with care and I don't see any flaw in terms of production!

How's Valentine's Day going for you?  Me?  I'm having a very simple Valentine's Day at home and I'm glad I'm not out worrying about traffic!

AMW Reviews: Benefit Girl Meets Pearl

I've always been addicted to healthy, glowing, bright-looking skin!  It must be because of my dry skin condition or because I've been watching so many Korean Drama series!  Whatever the reasons are, I'm sure some of you share the same sentiments as I do! 

Don't you just love the wonderful glow these models and actresses have on photo below?  Don't you wish we have the same skin as them?

The thing is, these girls probably ----

• Are born with naturally glowing skin.
• Uses brightening BB creams underneath.
• Have good amount of lighting when these photos were taken.
• Are using luminizers or highlighting products.

 I'm definitely not born with naturally healthy, bright, glowing skin, I would opt for the latter!  I'd go for products that would give me the fake glow and I have been a strong user of Benefit's That Gal Primer!  (Read review here) 

Who would've thought I'll be adding more to achieve the "pearly" finish?  Well, it happened a couple of weeks ago when I was at the Benefit B Spot workshop and I saw the Benebabes' Store managers applying their favorite Girl Meets Pearl and I immediately saw the "achievable" glow!  I immediately went and got myself one!

Pros

• I love the packaging!  Dispenses the right amount of product as needed.
• Great packaging for travel.
• A little goes a long way!  So this full sized Girl Meets Pearl will last me a long time.
• Has a hint of sweet smelling scent that can put me to a better mood!
• Have extra skin benefits.
• Doesn't have any noticeable sparkle but have a nice pearly sheen that makes your skin looks healthy.
• Doesn't make my skin greasy or oily.  It dries up with powder finish.

Cons

• Doesn't last the whole day especially on a humid weather.  Re-application within the day is needed.
• May create oily-looking skin if not applied correctly.  (kindly read tips below)

Overall

Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl gives a very subtle pearl-like glow on specific areas applied.  It has a golden pink tone so it gives the face a bit of 'warmth' like that of a bronzer (but more subtle).  The scent is amazing!

Tips
from Benefit

• Pat & blend over makeup for eye-catching luminescence.
• One twist for subtle sheen…two or more for dewy radiance.

from AMW

• For an overall face glow, mix Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl with your favorite liquid foundation.
• For a specific glow, apply Benefit Girl Meets Pearl on areas that you want to highlight.  The bridge of your nose, the highest point of your cheeks and the brow bone!
• Less is more, when applied during daytime, there is a tendency that the product doesn't appear, but it is definitely visible to the naked eye under the bright sunlight or flash photography.
• In my own humble opinion, Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl is best used by girls who has medium to dark skin tone while That Gal is best used by girls who are fair.
• To keep yourself from looking like an oil-factory, steer clear from applying the product on areas that tends to oil up.  (ex. T-zone)
• If you know you will be photographed, do a test before going out!  Use your favorite camera with flash to check how your skin looks. 
• Applied too much?  Don't fret, tap the area with a matte face powder to lessen the shine!
• On a very special occasion, this product can be used on your arms and legs!  (If you do not have Benefit Bathina)

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Dull, dry skinned or normal skinned girls who likes the instant glow anytime of the day!

After removing first cap, there is another transparent plastic cap for extra protection.  Some likes to throw this away, as for me I'm keeping it to prevent product spills or accidents.

The unique dispenser in which I used to dislike but now, I love this a lot!

Tiny amount needed for a very subtle sheen on my cheekbones!

Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl has a very subtle golden pink shade that works as a very natural all-over face highlighter if the user has medium to dark skin!  Fair skinned individuals may find this works as a very subtle bronzer.

Once product is well spread, it gives off a light champagne glow.  It has a light liquid to powder finish.

On most days, I prefer to apply Benefit's That Gal all over my face (as a primer), conceal problem areas with my trustee concealer and set with a powder foundation.  To keep myself from looking too plain and "blah", I like to use Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl on the highest point of my cheeks, my nose bridge, the brow bone and sometimes, at the inner corner of my eyes for a nice subtle glow!

As for me, I'm happy to announce that I've tried quite a number of brightening/highlighting products and so far, I have achieved the glow that I want on days that I badly need it!  But of course, nothing beats taking care of your skin by removing makeup thoroughly at night and using the right skincare regimen suited for your skin!
