AMW Reviews: Zenutrients Face & Body Bath Gel in Vanilla Milk & Melon

It's Friday peeps!  I can't believe time flew by so fast I'll be back at work in no time!  I am praying hard my body clock, or shall I say, baby's body clock gets back to normal (yeah right! :P)  so I can be back in my old Nikki self!  (can I just add another yeah right?)  

Now that Baby AMW is 5 weeks old, I am trying to get back to my old regimen on health and beauty.  Because I still don't have "yaya" for now, can you imagine how busy my life is 24/7?  Don't get me wrong, I love every single minute of it!  I feel really close to Baby AMW I want to cry when I'm away from him!  Anyways, now that I'm getting the "hang" of being a mommy, I want to get back on taking care of my body and I'm really interested with natural and organic products nowadays!  Thankfully, a lot of local brands are creating good and inexpensive gentle skin care products with no artificial colorants or additives --- that's Zenutrients.

Via friends from Sampleroom, I got a nice loot a couple of weeks before I gave birth and I can't wait to give all the products a try!  

As for the first product I picked out of the bunch, it's the Face and Body Bath Gel!  After 2 weeks of continuous usage, I'm ready to share my thoughts.

AMW Reviews: Block & White Pearly White UV Natural Pearl

Good morning!  Today, I will be reviewing my first Block & White experience!  When it comes to body lotion, I am not really looking into "whitening" but more into moisturizing. The thing though, I always ended up using body lotions with whitening agent because of the scent --- Silka, Vaseline, Jergens and now Block & White. 

Last year, I was invited to an intimate dinner to get to know more about the "repackaged" Block & White (read post HERE).  At first few uses, I've given my first impression on the said product --- smells wonderful, lightweight, no heavy or sticky feel and better packaging.

When I got home, I picked Pearly White UV Natural Pearl variant and immediately tested it out because the scent is my favorite among the bunch, at the same time, I am a strong believer on the lightening and brightening properties of pearls!  My sister and my friends take powdered pearl during pregnancy for their babies to have whiter and brighter looking skin!  (I wish I did but there are so many fake powdered pearls out there!)

Let's get back to the product, after a couple weeks of usage, I actually finished more than half of the product before I stopped using any whitening products during pregnancy, I stand by my first impressions and read on for more!

I Wonder: Dry Shampoo? Do you need them?

Happy Wednesday dearies!  How was Tuesday for you?  Mine was tiring yet super productive!  If you follow me on Instagram (@AskMeWhats), I was busy the whole day for a makeup shoot for one of my favorite cosmetics brand Benefit.  I will share more about my experience and the makeovers I've done soon! :)

Today, I have an intriguing question I'd love to ask for months but haven't gotten the chance to!  It's all about Dry Shampoos.  I've seen dry shampoos years ago through reading international beauty blogs 3-4 years ago.  I surrendered the idea of using one as I wash my hair regularly and I don't have any problems with greasy hair as my scalp tends to dry  instead. just like my skin. 

When I got pregnant, my dear highschool bestfriend sent me some post labor survivor stuff!  That includes the dry shampoo from Dove which we don't have it locally but she vouched it worked for her!  

Why do I need dry shampoo post labor?  Not sure if you've heard about the 1 month "no bath nor shower" after labor.  I'm not sure if it's a Chinese thing.  To those who don't understand what I'm talking about, it's 1 whole month of not taking a bath/shower after giving birth!  Imagine how awful I smell and how horrible my hair looks?  

The horrible looking part, I don't mind as I do not plan to get out of the house anyways.  But, the yucky, icky feel of grease ball hair is too much it can send me to post partum party (and that's a roundtrip!). 

Armed with my first dry shampoo ever, I started using Dove Hair Therapy Refresh + Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo.

AMW Reviews: Snoe White Vitamin C Rich Calamansi Beauty Bar

Good morning AMW friends!  Today, I am off for an important makeup gig and I'll share more about it once it's done!  :)

Now let's talk about Snow White, I meant Snoe White!  Snoe is a beauty brand that created a buzz because of their wonderfully packaged products, aside from that, their products are affordable, effective and proudly Philippine made!

I've hold on reviewing any products with "whitening" agent when I got pregnant so after giving birth, I immediately grabbed my Snoe White Vitamin C Rich Calamansi Beauty Bar a try as I'm looking to prettify myself once again!  Yes mommies, we can still stay pretty even when we lack sleep and energy from taking care of our babies!

AMW Reviews: Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks

One of my favorite drugstore lipstick brands aside from Maybelline is Revlon!  They've come up with various collection of lip colors that are moisturizing enough which for me seems like a "YAY moment" as I've always been on a search for lip products meant for dry and chappy lips!  

Recently, I got 11 gorgeous shades of Ultimate Suede Lipsticks and it took me so much time to review them as I honestly used each of them on various occasions!  One of them I even used for my Pregnancy Shoot (Blow-Up Studio post HERE)

The Revlon ColorStay  Ultimate Suede Lipsticks, as the name states, promises a moisturizing lip color that gives a velvety finish!  These reminded me so much of Revlon Colorbursts Lip Butters (review HERE) because of the promise of smooth finish.
