AMW Reports: The Grand Launch of CAVA

I started this blog when I wasn't a Professional Makeup Artist and you (my dear long-time readers) saw my makeup school escapades and even were there when I graduated!  *yay*  I receive a lot of emails asking me: "Do I really need to go to a makeup school?  I've been doing makeup almost all my life and I read makeup books and watch YouTube tutorials, I think that's enough."

That's what I thought so too.

But when I enrolled myself in a professional makeup school, I realized was...there are definitely so much more to learn! And up until today, I am still learning!

And recently, I discovered a newly launched school called CAVA (The Center for Aesthetics and Visual Arts).

AMW Reviews: Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils

Happy Friday!
Wow, I just realized, I haven't used pencils for my upper lashline for the LONGEST time!  All thanks to the invention of gel liners and liquid liners, they are so wonderful I just don't want to take chances by using pencils!

But Shu Uemura, why would you come up with something so exciting called Drawing Pencils?  Just check out their ad....

Of course, no one would like to walk out the house looking like that but this ad is every makeup artists' dream!  I mean seriously, to create that look with just pencils???  I know I want all shades!

And to start off my obsession, there's 2 for me to try!  1 in brown and 1 in green!  Both shades are my favorite when it comes to pencils!

Top: Matte Earthy Brown
Bottom: Metallic Green

AMW Reviews: Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipsticks (Citrus Flirt and Sassy Fuchsia)

You guys probably know by now how embarrassingly dry my lips are.  Okay, this is something I wouldn't want to highlight but it's true :(  and I don't want to lie...every lip shots are as dry as hell but what can I do?  Well, nothing, maybe..just share to you if I found a good brand of lippie that doesn't dry out my SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUSLY DRY lips!

I've shared some....and guess what..there's more! :D

The 2 shades I got are 2 of their newest shades: Citrus Flirt and Sassy Fuchsia

Citrus Flirt looks very bright and orange while Sassy Fuchsia looks like a plain red lippie.
Well..that's on packaging!

AMW Reports: Happy 30th Birthday Burt's Bees!

If you are into beauty products, you probably heard or seen Burt's Bees.
I wasn't a Beauty Blogger back then when I shopped for my favorite Burt's Bees products.  I can still remember some of my first Burt's Bees purchases....

The Garden Tomato Toner, Hand Salve, Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and Foot Cream.  But who could forget my first splurge on a lip balm that really works on my dry lips - yes, it is from Burt's!

So when I received an invite to attend Burt's 30th Birthday, no matter how crazy my schedule was and mind you, my car was coded that day, I knew I had to make it!  And I did!

I was greeted with a huge Happy 30th Birthday Sign made from either vegetables, flowers and the big 0 is one huge beeswax!  Amazing isn't it?  I have to hand it to the Burt's Bees Philippines team for such a wonderful setting!  And you haven't seen it all!
