AMW Cooks: Sitaw Dish

If you recently got married and left your parents home, you probably felt what I felt like 7 years ago...actually, even today!  You'll definitely miss your mom's cooking!  (or whoever cooks for you when you were younger)

Mr. AMW's side of the family is carnivorous!  *laughs*  And my mom never cooks meat on their own, she always mix it with vegetables to make sure they are include din our diet!  So after the happiness of meat-eating for the first few years of our marriage, I suddenly missed vegetables!  Thanks to my mom's cooking, I was able to share a simple vegetable recipe that even a non-herbivore like my sister-in-law appreciates!  :)

Home-cooked Sitaw Dish (Yardlong Beans)

Ingredients:
  • Sitaw chopped into smaller pieces.
  • Ground pork.
  • Egg
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Soy sauce
  • A small portion of Knorr Pork Cubes (optional)

If You Want to Tell Your Mom and Dad: "You're Special, Just Because..."

If you have been a long-time reader of my blog, you probably know by now how important Family is to me!  I would do ANYTHING for my family especially form y parents!  But of course, we don't have to wait for special occasions to tell them how much we appreciate them for all the years of unconditional love and support.  Now that I'm a mom/parent, I understand how hard it is to raise a child!  And I am more vocal with my appreciation to both my parents and I always thank them and say: "I love you".

Now that I'm a grown adult, I have means to share them and "spoil" them with material things.  I know they enjoy dining out so I make sure to let them dry different restaurants from time to time.  I also know how much my parents are into small, inexpensive surprises so I make sure to buy them random stuff that I know they'll appreciate and probably think of me whenever they use it.

My mom uses hairspray daily, so I make sure to be her constant supplier of hairspray.  Aside from that, she also loves inexpensive fragrances.   My dad, on the other hand, enjoys simple "hygiene" related products, so I make sure to send him some of the products I get as a Blogger.

That is how we tell someone they are special to you....be observant with the little things that makes them happy....

Just in time,  I got the Sweet Honesty Line from Avon.  Avon has always been a "spot on" target when it comes to creating wonderful scents!  My mom loves their body lotion and I'm sure she'll love these as well.

Though Sweet Honesty was made to target young girls, well, my mom is definitely VERY YOUNG AT HEART!  And I want her to think about her "YOUNGEST DAUGHTER" (ahem, me!) whenever she uses these!

AMW Reviews: Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation

I have been meaning to try the Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation for quite some time.  But you know me...I can't seem to start using a new product if I haven't hit the pan, or at least, close to hitting the pan on my current powder foundation.  And mind you, since I have dry skin and most of the powder foundations I use are good, I tend to retouch only once the whole day or at times, no retouch at all!

After using up my favorite Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Powder Cover Up, I'm finally on a full blast using Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Powder Foundation.  The name Hydrating is definitely the major reason why I wanted to use this so badly!

By the way, the name is too cute!  Don't Get Mad Get Even!

The shade I got is 02 Natural Beige which looks extremely crazy dark for me on pan but trust me when I say, this shade is the perfect shade for me!

AMW Reports: A Mystical tale With Pandora

It was a Mystical Night when fellow Blogger friends Angela, Phoebe and I got together for Pandora's 2014 Autumn/Winter Collection launch.

Dress from FJ Fashion

If you haven't heard about Pandora (which I doubt), well, let me indulge you with these photos and tell me honestly, if your heart didn't skip a beat!

I have heard about Pandora many years ago when Mr. AMW told me about these charms that signifies unforgettable moments in one's life!  I remembered browsing through their website mentally shopping for charms that spells "MY LIFE".

AMW Supports: #PusoToTheMax and #WhatsInMyBagForLife

If you follow me on Instagram (@AskMeWhats), you've probably seen my posts for my support on great companies like The Body Shop and MAX who supports a team or foundation that I totally believe in!

Just like The Body Shop, if you check out their stores, you'll see limited edition Bag For Life which I think is a must have for everyone!  Aside from you saving the environment by using eco bags instead of plastics, you also help support the Charities The Body Shop supports for the past 25 years.

What's inside my Bag for Life?  Well, as you all know, my life, aside from my family, is makeup artistry!  I don't know what I'll do if I haven't pursued this love of mine!  I did tried haircutting but makeup artistry is really something I do that makes me extremely happy!  So what's in my Bag For Life?

My important makeup brushes, makeup and of course, a cup of good coffee that I house in my Contigo tumbler (thanks to my Aunt and Cousin for this!).  My coffee stays oh-so-warm even after hours!  Yes, that is very important for me as I need some perk-me-up especially on really early call-time!

Aside from that, I also support Max's  Fried Chicken and thumbs up to them for supporting Team Gilas!  If you haven't know by know, Max's restaurant is the major sponsor for Gilas Pilipinas!
