Weekend Food Trip at: Mazendo + The Dessert Museum

I have been to Taiwan and tried their food, so when I saw Mazendo Restaurant, hailed as Taiwan's Best Beef Noodle soup, I had to drag my family to dine there after The Dessert Museum family bonding.

If you are on a rush, yes, it is worth the visit!  And double yes, it is authentic!

Let's start with the appetizers that makes people come back for more!

Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings
Php145.00

Though the bottom side was up when it was served, I had this clueless look, why would they offer me a paper?

Thankfully, it wasn't a paper, the bottom side is made of "wrap" fried neatly so you can actually eat it together with the dumplings! Yummy as you get an extra crisp!  Extra will always be good!

Do You Love The Sun?

I do! Especially since my son's world right now is circling around his "Solar System" and every discussion I have with him revolves around....The Sun and its' planets.

But, do I REALLY love the sun?  In a way, YES AND NO.  Yes because the sun is very important for us to survive but science aside... NO!  I don't like it for the fact that I sweat more than usual and I'm starting to have headache with the extreme heat!

But how to survive the summer?

1. Hydrate yourself.
2. Keep cool (physically and emotionally).
3. Protect yourself from the sun!

Thankfully, I've done numbers 1 and 3 consistently nowadays (wishing I could do number 2 more often!  LOL).  With the help of my favorite beauty store Watsons, I was able to find some goodies that will keep me feeling cheery this summer!

And if you want to feel positive, you don't just need sunblock/sunscreen, you also need to take care the rest of your body (face, hair, etc...)

"Love The Sun" is Watsons' Summer Campaign that puts out the message that one shouldn't be afraid of the sun. With products that protect your skin and hair, Watsons definitely has got you covered!

I personally love the brands Nivea, Belo, Banana Boat, Sunplay, Biore, Neutrogena, Solstice, Beach Hut, L'Oreal, Cream Silk, Pantene and Vitress.

But, there are actually other participating brands you may want to look into --- Banana Boat, Dermplus, Kojie San, Hawaiian Tropic, Cetaphil, Olay, Pond’s, Snow, Celeteque, Thiocell, Shiro, Gluta-C, Vaseline, Veet, Lactacyd, Dentiste, Chic, Bobbie and Body Fantasies.

Here's what can cheer us more!  All SMAC members can get a chance to win a trip for 4 to any of the following destinations: Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Every P500 single-receipt purchase of participating products is equivalent to 1 e-raffle entry to join the promo.

If you want to watch my video on my thoughts on some of the sun care products I've used in the past, visit HERE.

What's your favorite item from Watsons mentioned above?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

Dear AMW friends,
Who among you uses Eye cream and face creams?  I do!  I use them separately for the longest time but who would've thought I'll chance upon a product that says EYE-FACE Cream?

Found one!  From Tony Moly!

A Subtle-Looking Liner that Stays

I was asked a couple of times on Instagram #AskAMW on my pencil recommendations that would keep your eyes looking wide without looking like a wide-eyed Panda.

I can totally relate.  We live in a humid weather country and using just eye pencil for the eyes is almost impossible (spoken by a liquid and gel liner lover!)

But there will be days I"m too lazy to wing my liner just because I'm just sending my son to school, as much as I would love to just leave my eyes as is, it looks puffy and "tired" without liner so I always opt for a liner pencil.

One of my favorite brand is Make Up For Ever and I also have another one from Estee Lauder if I wanted a pencil that can be "smudged" and sets like a tattoo.

A long wearing eyeliner to shape the eyes. Gives precise line and stay-put color for 24 hours. Creamy texture and smoothly glides on. Delivers different makeup effects from a simple line to a sultry smoky eye. Smudge free and resistant to water, sweat, heat and humidity. Features a soft smudge tip and built-in sharpener.

The Estee Lauder Double Wear Waterproof eyeliner pencil comes with retractable pencil on one side and a smudger tip on the other side.  I was using this for a good 1 month before realizing it comes with a sharpener.  The sharpener is actually vital if you want to create a define line.  Just pull the smudger tip and the sharpener is happily hidden there.
