A White Tee and Cargo Pants

 

I used to shy away from white top!  Not only because they get dirtied easily, but I have a bit of body issues - we all do!  But I have broad shoulders and big arms, wearing light colored tops would enhance those features.

Today, I am not wearing this top just because I felt I am very sexy :P  I wish I could say that some day, but I am more comfortable to wear white top with the right pairing - and of course, pick the right size of clothin.

I recently bought this super comfy cargo pants in Beige color and TBH, it is so hard to pair this color - so the easiest and safest way would be a white plain top I got from Uniqlo PH.  

On casual days, I just wear this with slippers or rubber shoes.  If I ended up wearing this for a meeting, I'd go for accessorizing with a nice necklace, earrings and wear a simple nude pumps!  It'll work right?

Mom and Son Twinning

 

Kyle and I seldom "Twin" because TBH, this mom is LAZY :P

Working from home since Kyle was born plus doing house chores and a lot of cooking.  Twinning would be the last thing I need because I am just too tired to think! :P

But since it is Kyle's summer vacation and at the age of 9 years old, he is more aware and wanted to share good memories with me, he was actually the one who decided to do this Twinning moment and I got the idea of doing the transition video for Instagram just to keep this moment forever!

I got both striped top shirts from Shopee.

I love how he readily posts with Mommy! I wished he'll stay this way even when he is a teenager!

Don't we all wish moms with boys?

Contour and Highlight Technique

Those were just some of the complaints I get from make up students.  Why is it so hard?  

One makeup application technique that is actually more difficult as you can imagine--- Contouring and Highlighting.

I remembered having a hard time when I was starting out as a Bridal Make Up Artist!  With HD Camera and videos, I was stressed to make sure the contour and highlight I am doing for the brides are perfect.  Imagine having crooked nose or fatty face from misuse of highlight and contour products?  

I . Was. SCARED!  Scared enough to always ask my husband to always check for the final look (2nd set of eyes always work!)  Ayan, I openly shared what I was scared off, but that's normal.  And being scared meant you will strive to learn and master your own craft!

So fast forward to today, I still do contouring and highlighting a lot!  These days, people are into no-makeup makeup look!  But this step is actually very important since we are on a selfie-era!  Everything had to be on videos or photos!  Kaya better be Camera-ready!

Some of you have your own weapon, if you plan to do this on a daily basis, I suggest to most subtle, natural and easiest method are powders!  They may not last as long but the disappearance of the product can actually work better ---- a more natural effect.

I like to use the Make Up For Ever's Contour/Highlight KIT.  You can head on to their store and pick the right shade for you - I believe they have different versions for different skin tone.

Since the break of COVID-19, you've probably noticed how I have been doing "professional' thing at home.  Such as haircut, hair color and even nail care!  

I used to regularly go to my favorite salon Hairshaft Salon for my hair color, but not going to salon doesn't mean I will just leave my white hair peeking out!  Thankful I have a Mister who is used to coloring my hair even before I started blogging!

I bought Revlon Colorsilk Luminista online at Shopee under Revlon Mall. It costs Php425.00 and I am very happy with this product line.  The old Revlon Hair Color I've tried have a strong chemical smell and dried my hair.  The Colorsilk Luminista smells better, my husband did not complain about the scent and I love how even the color was!  

Best of all, with proper conditioning and care, my hair was back to its' healthy state unlike other hair coloring treatment which ended up drying my hair! 

I will definitely repurchase the Colorsilk Luminista, something probably lighter but Caramel Brown is really beautiful!  What do you think?

Magnolia Ready-To-Cook Chicken Meals

 

Hi AMW Friends!
Happy Sunday!  My brother had his emergency appendectomy as his appendix burst and it was all crazy!  My brother live with my parents, unmarried and my mom is old to look after him and I can't stay in the hospital overnight as I have my own son to look after for.  

It was CRAZY!  But things were in place for some miraculous reason.  He was able to go through his surgery and was safe (Thank God!).  My dad's Caregiver was the one who stayed in the hospital as the hospital rules changed due to Covid scare.  They do PCR tests and they are not allowed to leave the hospital for the whole duration of stay.  That said, my mom is left to take care of my dad which is IMPOSSIBLE as my dad is bedridden and my mom is around 77 years old!  

My sister and I made a plan to go to my mom's place and scheduled to cook for them and help them feeding my dad and include household chores as well.  

Because I was too hyper cooking various dishes that would last the whole day, I ended up coming back home TIRED and too lazy to cook for my family.  Nakaka-guilty but I am only human!  I can't deal for long hours in the kitchen again after returning home and also ....time constraint! 

Thankfully, there are easy-to-cook dishes available that are really delicious!  I mean I wouldn't feed my own family dishes that tastes like "chemical", if you know what I mean.

I trust Magnolia when I buy chicken so I trust I get fresh, good quality chicken.  Magnolia Chicken Timplados comes in --- Fried Chicken, Oriental Wings, Spicy Wings and Chicken Teriyaki.
