Huda Beauty Blur Bake Snatch Look

 

I am a fan of Huda Kattan and I am one of those who got excited when she launched her make up line!

"I NEED to get this!"  Need is an understatement but you all know that by now!  I got myself her eyeshadow palettes and did a Love Month Look with it exactly 2 years ago and even did a Sand Haze Look (name of her palette) inspired look as I love the shades of her eyeshadow palette.

Early this year, I was invited to HudaBeauty Blur, Bake and Snatch event at Look at Me SM Aura and I had to free up my schedule to be there.

Let us start my review with the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Luminous Matte Foundation in shade Apple Pie.  Disclaimer, Apple Pie foundation was given to me during the event and this isn't my exact shade when I did a swatch with their in-house makeup artist.  Thankfully, the shade is "workable" and it actually worked much better to create a snatched look.

You don't believe me when I say this is the best?  Check out this UNFILTERED half-face photo of me using nothing but Huda beauty's Foundation half of my face (Left facing you).  Mind you, it only took me a single pump!

Closer photo.  My friend even DM'd me after seeing this photo thinking I had a huge black eye on my other eye.  I mean they seriously didn't think I even had foundation on!  It looked so natural on photos but let me tell you how it looks in person.

Apple Pie is not my shade so it is actually a bit darker in person.  Thankfully, the Concealer that came with the press kit is too light on me so it worked so well as a highlight/contour product.

K-Drama Hair Tutorial

 

As of typing, I already cut 6 inches off my hair, I am looking at these photos and kinda missed this length as I had fun creating various hairstyles and looks but what can a "Girl Living in a HUMID country" do?

Oh well, at least I have photos to look at and maybe wait for a couple of months when the weather gets cooler and I get to enjoy such lentgh once again.

For now, here's a K-drama inspired hairstyles, a hairstyle even the poorest character can have in a perfect K-Drama land! 

Fret not, I am always in a rush just like right now as I squeeze a blog post because I enjoyed talking to all of you.  This hairstyle takes less than 10 minutes and you can do this style in ANY hair length.  So please do not come up to me saying: "I will wait for my hair to be long to do this hairstyle."

It is very important that you always protect your hair with your choice of heat protectant before you use any heating tools.  This way, your hair will maintain its' shine.

Lancome Absolu Rouge in French Peluche Review

 

I get my mood from the lipsticks I wear.

And I find myself searching for new lip color from different lipstick brands every MONDAY!  Thank God I work as a beauty content creator, can you imagine just how shock my husband will be whenever I purchase new lipsticks every weekend?  --- YES Husband!  BE GRATEFUL !  :P

The shade of the week is called French Peluche 289.   This looks deep brown red on tube but appears reddish-orange brown on my lips.  

Lancome Absolu Rouge Lipsticks are soft blurred matte lipsticks - meaning, they look BLURRED when applied on lips because it somewhat has a powder-matte finish.  It is very comfortable to use and glides easily on lips leaving no traces of glossiness.  

There's also a nice trick to apply this luxurious French lipstick brand, apply a good amount on lips and use your clean fingers to blend out harsh edges.  Natural-looking at its finest.

I can wear this lipstick all day without feeling a thing.  Indeed lightweight and dry-lips friendly.
Will definitely go back to the store for more shades to collect!

Berlook Flac Shirt and Shorts

 

I cannot imagine the day will come I will be wearing an AVOCADO Color!

My brightest and weirdest color would probably be a bright yellow or bright orange number,  didn't notice how much of a green fashion forward I was ever since last quarter of 2023.

I have been shopping A LOT online for clothing and I've found myself adding to cart various clothing pieces from different websites and they all turn out to be different shades of GREEN!

I recently chanced upon fellow influencers posting about Berlook and I was one of the lucky few who was reached out by the brand to try their clothing.

I went for the SOLID COLOR Flax SHORTS and SOLID COLOR Flax SHIRT.

There were a lot of color choices to choose from, I originally wanted a Navy Blue because I know I look good in that color but my preferred sizing is not available.  I went for both MEDIUM but I wished I'd go for SMALL because they are TRUE TO SIZE!

I wanted to wear this on a beach trip or when we will go out for a staycation by the pool and wear my swimsuit underneath.  But after receiving the item, love the quality so much it works even as coords for a nice Sunday out with the family!

Look: From Tired to Energetic

 YOU and ME!  Should be an expert with our own faces.  I have read comments on: “I can’t put makeup on!”  “I just don’t know how to apply makeup!”

I can’t seem to accept that fact because I started saying those statements as early as highschool and changed my own thinking when I grabbed makeup samples from my Aunts in Canada and started practicing on my own face looking like a bruised student but still washed it off (with NOT makeup remover) but soap!  

You may bash me for saying this but makeup is a skill that can be learnt!  I am NOT good with Art class and always have the lowest scores in all my subjects but I ended up being a makeup artist because I WANTED TO!  

I am still not as good (well no one will ever be) compared to the greatest famous MUAs out there but I strive to learn and improve my craft every chances I get!

So to YOU reading this who thinks makeup is rocket Science….well, you don’t have to start with Smoky Eye Makeup Looks right away or try to perfect a winged liner.  You cn start as easy as blush placement application or applyig lipstick that would make your face appear brighter!

Makeup application is not only a skill you need to learn, you also need to have a skill of being comfortable enough to practice on your own skin and pick the right shades that make you feel GOOD whenever you see your own reflection.  I mean, do not pick colors that look good on Kpop idols are stars but instead, wear colors that make you feel beautiful!

Well, I have been trying to push some of my readers and followers who were messaging me telling me how clumsy they are when it comes to makeup.  I just can’t seem to accept that fact because I can call that myself.  I can’t even seen to cut a straight cut as of this very moment!
