Sunblock, the not-so-secret Secret to a younger-looking skin!  

I used to say “NAH” but after years of constantly using them, yes, I finally agreed!  

That’s my problem, I always wanted proofs, so I always make sure to tediously test on products to recommend them here.  I am not writing about beauty products just because I wanted to —- it’s because I really use them and I have lots to say that could help YOU out there.

Thankfully, after COPPERTONE days —- the only sunblock I know and use when I was younger, things and times have changed….sunblock comes in lighter formulation, fast absorbing properties and they smell so good ha!

Anessa, a brand under the Shiseido Research and Development center got a huge thumbs up from yours truly especially since I used this for the whole summer 2021!

My brother, who lives overseas and has the same skin condition as I do —- dry on the outside and weird burst of oiliness on random areas of the skin, gave a HUGE thumbs up on this product.  He said it is the most lightweight sunscreen he used and this comes from an Architect who works under the sun for long period of time!

Have you found a lipbalm that you can actually use and can actually hydrate your lips?

Well, I kind of found one accidentally when I wasn't looking.  I picked this up recently because it says ColorGel lipbalm and you know how I love "gel" texture in anything (ex. Moisturizing, etc...)  

The shade I got was a bit dark on tube but I knew this is a lipbalm so I understood this will be sheer.

Peter Thomas Roth, is the brand I usually see on online sites like Sephora and Ulta and I'm glad to check them out in person!

Shiseido Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother Review

As much as I'm not into face primers because I am born with perfect skin (JUST JOKING!).  

Well, it is the fact that I'm too lazy to apply full face makeup on a regular basis so I don't think I find the need to use face primers.  NOT UNLESS, I get a face primer that says --- SMART FILTERING SMOOTHER, a product that blurs imperfections to keep me "Selfie-ready" anytime anywhere!

When invited for a "Beauty Discovery", who can say  no to that especially since I've been living and breathing "anything Beauty-Related" for the past 2 decades?  (yes friends, I've been holding and touching makeup as young as 16 years old applying makeup on classmates during school plays!

Brands Shiseido, Guerlain and Elizabeth Arden unveiled their 2017 Spring/Summer Collections in Ayala Mall's Greenbelt 5 Gallery.

Let's start with Elizabeth Arden, I have always known about the brand for their effective skincare products, I have stocked up so much on their Eight Hour Cream and little do I know the brand has so much more to offer!

Shiseido Maqui Essence Gel Rouge Review

I have been into matte lipsticks for quite sometime and the weather is getting a bit colder nowadays so I've decided to do something right for my lips, use Shiseido Autumn 2016 Maqui Essence Gel Rouge instead.

 
I got 2 shades to alternate, RD312 and RS318.

RD312 is under the RED chart while RS318 is under ROSE.  The shade RD312 is also known as "See You" while RS318 is just a simple "YES".

Latter part of 2015, Shiseido Japan released their 10th Anniversary Collection.  I know this because I do my research on make up collections of brands I love from time to time.

Imagine the happiness when I received my very own Shiseido Maquillage Dual Color Rouge 10th Anniversary Lipstick as my birthday gift from Shiseido PH team! (Thanks guys!)  Because of that, I hail this my "2016 Birthday Lipstick"!  

It is not your usual lipstick because it comes with 2 shades, well, 3 to be exact as you get to mix both shades together and get a different color (my favorite!)

AMW Reviews: Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer SPF15

Good morning friends!
Today, I will be reviewing my first Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer SPF15.  This is a primer and as you all know, I tend to use primers that gives hydration and radiance as opposed to most of you who uses primers for oil-control.

I am the queen of highlighting --- I am claiming that title!

Way back before Strobing, I think I've already mastered the art of strobing due to my liking to keep my skin hydrated and appear more bright and radiant!  

I am on the stage where my skin does not breakout as much as back when I was a teenager but I am definitely on the stage wherein I try to fake that "glowing" skin because it can make any person look younger when you have healthy, clear and glowing skin.

So after using this for a month or more!  I am ready to share my thoughts on my first primer from Shiseido!

AMW Revies: Shiseido Full Lash Volume Mascara

I have tried and loved Shiseido Eyelash Curler for the longest time but I don't know why I didn't thought of trying out their mascaras considering the Shiseido Eyelash Curler is the top eyelash curler for me!  (Keep in mind this is a matter of preference, the eyelash curler from Shiseido fits my eye shape PERFECTLY!)

During my pampering experience at the Shiseido Penthouse event a couple of months ago and makeover was part of the "pampering sesh".  When the makeup artist was ready to curl and apply mascara, I immediately blurted out a disclaimer: "Sorry, I don't think you can do anything with my lashes!"   And he went: "Oh yeah, you have very sparse lashes!" (OUCH!)  "But, let's try this Full Lash Volume Mascara that may work wonder!"

Then the rest was history, I obviously loved the effect so much I went on and got one for myself!

As simple as a black packaging, Shiseido made a uniquely designed mascara tube making it look oh-so-gorgeous on my vanity table!

A Drama Without the Drama: Shiseido Maquillage Dramatic Mood Veil

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I am off to a meeting for a fun collaboration with brands I trust and Love so I'm quite excited!  I will probably be wearing THIS blush again because I feel so (keyword) YOUNG, romantic and in-love whenever I have this on!  

And please, tell me the look doesn't give you that instant mood lift!  Come on, you do have a soft-spot for gorgeous looking blush right?

Unboxing: June BDJ Bioderma Box + #EverydayWithHappiness

Happy weekend AMW Friends!  I hope today is not as wet as previous days!  I had a wonderful and fruitful week so I can't help but share my good vibes to everyone!  It helps to really focus on the positive elements of your life because you can definitely attract more good things!

How?  By appreciating all the little things in life!  Like receiving this box of mini Bioderma samples!  Okay, the negative Nikki would probably go: "All small sample sizes? WHAT?"  (Hashtag MEANIE)  But instead, I went ahead and said: "YAY!  I can finally try Bioderma products!"

Truth be told, I was invited for the grand launch of Bioderma products (the distributor is a very good friend, so is the PR person), unfortunately, family always comes first so I declined the invite so I wasn't able to understand it when my fellow Beauty Blogger friends would rave about these well-sought after products!  

So when I received the BDJ June Box, it was a delight for me to be able to try the brand!  And BDJ box girls were kind enough to add a full sized product that I love!  Will tell you more about it after the jump!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  You've probably seen this photo on my social media account and I take hold of this photo (hardcopy) really close to my heart!  Why?  As you all know, I look like my mom, and this photo, with the way it was printed (colored like that of the 60's and 70's) reminds me so much of my mom! 

Skincare Talk: Creating Radiant, Glowing Skin

It has now been the most asked query on my mailbox on how to achieve healthy, radiant glowing skin!  YAY!  Finally!  I am so happy my readers are starting to take notice the importance of skincare, which by the way, I always stress when I do workshops!  

To achieve good make up looks, you need a good canvass meaning, a good and healthy skin!  So today, I will share some of the inexpensive to luxurious way to pamper your skin creating a beautiful glow from within!

Let's start with the most inexpensive way to the more expensive ways!  Check your budget and see which of the options listed below you would like to try.

Facial Masks
As much as you would like to think it's just a fad...no, it's definitely not!  Facial Masks are here to stay!  And my recent discoverY?  The Leaders "energy masks"!

I've tried all 4 but my favorite for instant glow is the "Yellow Energy Mask".  This variant comes with Orange (Vitamin C) that helps in creating GLOW.

A Lipstick That Melts On Your Lips, Not On The Tube!

The answer is:  Shiseido Maquillage Dramatic Melting Rouge Lipstick.

The name itself is a mouthful, so I just call this my "melting lipstick".  But don't be fooled with the name "melting", it does feel like a melting butter upon application but so far, with extreme heat we are encountering at the moment, I actually left this inside my bag in the car (parked in an open parking space) and the tip felt moist and soft but the whole lipstick remain intact!
