AMW Reports: K-Palette 1 Day Magic event and 1Day Magic Products

How do you feel when you enter in a room with cute pink dresser loaded with cute Japanese products and magazines?

No matter how much make-up I currently own and use, I still shriek deep inside!  But on the exterior, I kept my cool!

That's what happened to me during the K-Palette 1 Day Magic event that happened last week at R Space, Makati.  How could a product like K-palette gets any better?  When they are housed in very cute packaging and obviously, they are still the wonderful K-palette products that deliver!  One of my favorite Asian Cosmetics brand!

Simple Pregnancy Fashion

Pregnancy Fashion, is there such a thing?  Well, I don't call myself fashionable but at least, I do  know what to wear that makes me feel and look comfortable!

My mom and Mr. AMW expected me to go out and shop for pregnancy clothes the moment I learned I was pregnant!  Well, they were wrong!  Mr. AMW had to "force" me to shop for clothes as I consistently say "NO" each and every time.  (Come on, tell Mr. AMW he's lucky!)  *laughs*

I haven't been going out much during my first trimester + first half of second trimester as you probably know by now how much pain I've gone through in terms of morning sickness.  It's over..so let me move on! :)

I started going out on dates with friends, family and husband on my fifth month.  I haven't bought any single pregnancy outfit then  as I can still wear all my loose tops and smartly wear my low waist pants and shorts and use a hair tie as an extension!  

Comes 6th month, my belly is starting to show and I can't seem to wear my old bottoms anymore.  I logged in Zalora and bought some shorts, jeans and leggings from their Maternity section.  Thank goodness they all fit me!

Casual date with the hubby

For a casual date with the hubby, I wore a simple black tank top inside and my loose Forever 21 knitted top.  As for the shorts, I wore my Buntis shorts in medium with adjustable belly band which made my overall outfit even more comfortable.  Since I know there will be a whole lot of walking, I've decided to wear "elevated" sandals from SM Parisian as flats could hurt my back with all the walking.

 A semi-formal affair

Dresses are great when you're pregnant and I can't thank having some loose dresses inside the dresser when I was asked to be the God mother of my best friend's daughter.  

A simple long navy dress from Prima Donna worn with a plain white tube inside.  To create a more "formal" vibe, I've decided to wear my simple light pink pearl necklace by SM Accessories.  Check out my protruding belly!  I don't care!  I'm proud of my bump!

Now you understand why I had to wear a white tube inside?  The dress is quite sexy with a low cut back and LONG slit!  (Okay, didn't show the slit anymore as I'm shy to show my legs) *blushes* :P

Welcoming New Year with Simple Family Lunch

As I wasn't able to shop for any polka-dotted outfit (for luck), I've decided to color block and create a very cheerful vibe on the first day of year 2013!  We had a nice lunch with the family and I've decided to visit Lucky Chinatown Mall as it is usually crowded on a regular day!  Thank goodness most the people have decided to rest at home so it's my time to walk around the spacious mall! 

Since my outer Ever New Orange top is a bit too short and I don't want to expose my huge belly, I've decided to wear my Bossini Yellow sleeveless top underneath and my navy blue shorts because I want to scream HAPPY NEW YEAR without uttering a single word!  :)

Meet up with High School Friends

I haven't seen my high school friends for quite some time, the group decided to have a mini get-together.  Since my friend would like to see my bump, I've decided to wear my Cinderella top (which was supposed to be a loose blouse) but now, it worked so well as my pregnancy top!  This photo was taken on my 6th month of pregnancy and you can literally see how showy Baby AMW is!  Paired with my Buntis shorts and a lovely necklace from SM Accessories, everything turned casual with a blushing  March Slither Flats.

Shopping Rush

As I was in a rush for some quick gift-giving, the hubby and I have decided to visit a nearby mall!  What's the best mall outfit?  My loose Promod striped navy top and a medium sized pregnancy leggings from Gingersnaps!  The sandals from The Flat Shop which has a nice support at the curve of my feet is perfect for a comfortable shopping experience!

A Day of Errands

When I'm swamped with errands, it is vital to feel comfortable with the clothes you wear plus to feel "cool".  As all pregnancy books would say, a pregnant woman would feel like an oven most of the time, I do feel hot even inside an air-conditioned room so a sleeveless top is what I would wear if I know I have many places to go!

Dinner

When I know I'm off for a dinner and fulfill my food fantasies, I picked my most comfortable Boyfriend Shirt!  The vertical lines can hide the look of a pregnant belly (not that I plan to hide it) but funny how some can't tell that I'm pregnant. (Mukha lang busog!)

Makeup Workshop

Because I have a gig as a makeup trainer at Benefit Philippines, looking at least a tiny bit formal is what I'm aiming for!  I wore my long yellow t-shirt top from Greenhills and my navy blue blazer which I bought from KL Malaysia.  Simple black pants with stretchable band made my overall look more formal!  My favorite gold flats from ShoeBox are comfortable enough for me to stand up for 4 hours!

Overall, my second trimester pregnancy fashion is simple yet comfortable!  I am glad I was able to wear my existing clothes and I don't have to spend a lot on pregnancy outfit!  As I'm heading to my last trimester, I may be in dire need for some pregnancy clothes as my bulging belly is uncontrollable and seems like Baby Boy AMW is enjoying all the food he can eat!

AMW Reports: Estee Lauder's Exclusive Signature Services

Over the weekend, I was invited by Estee Lauder's Brand Coordinator Liz to check out Estee Lauder Rustan's Shangri-La's newer counter and learn about the "Feel Beautiful In Minutes" Signature Services!

Before we talk about the Signature services, I was amazed with how Estee Lauder transformed into a "haven" for girls who like to pamper oneself!

AMW Reports: Promod Opens its 10th Store in BGC

Two years ago, I was invited by Promod for a styling challenge for Promod's "Je Nie Sais Quoi" style (French High-Street Fashion).  Me and my friend Shanna had fun styling the mannequin and that's were I found my love for fashion.

I am not a fashion stylist but I know my sense of style like the back of my hand.  I usually lean for comfort+ cute and sometimes chic+classy!  It wasn't difficult to shop at Promod Megamall (the branch near my office back then) as I can easily find pieces that defines my personality.

I just realized 3 of my outfits were from Promod during the Vaseline Roadtrip of a Lifetime!  We were asked to bring casual, comfortable yet chic outfit!  Promod fits the bill!

Today, Promod opens its 10th store at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig and I was one of the lucky few who got invited to check out what the store has to offer!

It was refreshing to see a wide range of collections for different fashion styles!  A stage was set up for a mini fashion show later on.

Promod's "Je Ne Sais Quoi’" style

I was invited recently by Charisse from Stratworks to join a contest related to fashion for Promod.

Promod is today one of France's biggest fashion store chains and the brand enjoys international success with 796 outlets in 46 countries.  Promod collections are aimed at an exclusively female clientele, namely: Modern, active women between 20 and 30 years old, who desire fashionable, reasonably priced, quality articles that are neither too classy nor too "trendy", and that offer the possibility of mixing and matching according to individual tastes , thanks to their variety and frequent renewal.

What I like about Promod is their collection offers a wide range of items and I find it easy to mix and match their clothing and accessories.  Anyone wearing Promod can easily look like they just came out from a French magazine minus the outrageous runway look.

Me, a beauty blogger can invite a stylist friend to mix and match Promod's clothes and accessories and create "je ne sais quoi" that will spell out our own fashion style, our own interpretation of French High-Street Fashion.  Styling will revolve around picking key items from Promod store and create 5 different looks to be worn by a mannequin.

I've invited a dear friend Shanna of Shannaholic to be my partner stylist.  She's always been fashionable and comfortable at the same time which I think works well for Promod's Contest theme.  I have taken a look online for the definition of "je ne sais quoi" and it was defined as "a certain something".  Perfect description!

For both Shanna and myself, French High-Street fashion definitely has a certain something, a certain X-factor that you can't seem to pinpoint.  It's a type of fashion wherein each pieces are unique and yet, when put together, it complements each other, in a very unique and elegant way.

Do you need a new skirt? If so, do you want one you can wear whenever you want? Of course you do. That means your money is well-spent. For the best results when skirt shopping, focus on denim skirt fashion options. A denim skirt can be matched with almost any type of top and even layered with sweaters or jackets. When it comes to footwear and accessories, you also can't go wrong with denim. Wear a denim skirt with keels and makeup for a night out clubbing or slip on some sandals or sneakers for a casual, comfortable outfit. Certain styles of denim skirts, including pencil skirts, can also work when you want something comfortable to wear to the office.


Introducing, the Five "Je Ne Sais Quoi" Look.

Casual Day Straight From the Runway Look

This look was created with a fashionable and modern girl in mind.  A girl who's carefree and does not spend too much time in front of the mirror.  She's born to be a natural head turner, a natural gorgeous gal!

How we created this look:

A faded khaki color block ruffled dress tucked in a cropped trousers matching the look with a snake effect gladiator sandals.  To create a nice "layering" effect without the bulkiness, a printed gray sleeveless cardigan was added to create a more casual and "relaxed" look.

To accessorize, a soft scarf with metal-like fringes was tied around the neck together with a star necklace.
