#RealNotRetouched

In a world where most of us are multi-hyphenated, I realized that there are small things in life we don't want to worry about.  Such thing as our underarms!

I used to be the weird gal who doesn't sweat even inside a spa, that said, I was able to survive without using deodorant for years!  Then my body changed after giving birth, the weather went crazier by the day.  The last time I felt most insecure was the day I did a full day shoot with full blown lights and malfunctioned airconditioner - it was the worst work day of my life, I wasn't able to concentrate on my lines and whenever there's group pictorial, I would feel so insecure and obviously, the photos came out me looking weird and uncomfortable.

That's when I realized that my short "insecurity" moment could be a long term issue for most girls!  And for the past years, I have been using this brand that helped me do everything I can without having to worry about dark or perspiring underarms!

The classic Dove Original Nourished & Smooth Nourishing Cream.  I love to use this and the stick variant because of the wonderful scent, how my underarms stay smooth for the past months of usage!  Best of all, I feel and look fresh all day even under the crazy heat!

Sanicare Personal Care and Baby Care Line Review

Hey AMW Friends!
My Blog AskMeWhats has been around for a decade now!  It actually transitioned from just a Beauty Blog to a Lifestyle Blog especially when I turned into an "AskMeMom".  One feedback I get from people whenever I meet them in person?

"You don't look like a mom!"
or "How do you manage your career life and motherhood?

Well, I have a long list of answer for that, but one thing for sure,  I am very particular with Hygiene.  Not only for myself but for the whole family too!

With all the makeup and skincare products out there, it is so easy to "look fresh" or "look beautiful" on the outside, but AskMeWhats as a Blog and as a Person has always been about staying beautiful both IN and OUT.  That said, it is the best tip I could give to maintain that "youthful and fresh-feel", to keep that beauty shining both from the outside and inside --- that includes taking care of your hygiene too!

I recently tested a full range of products from the brand Sanicare.  I specifically tested their Personal Care and Baby Care line.  Who would've thought this brand goes beyond just making tissue paper and cotton buds?  I was amazed how the brand also offers wide range of products needed for hygiene.  The brand covers personal, kitchen bathroom and baby use too!

Colgate Plax Bamboo Charcoal Mint Mouthwash Review

If you ask me what I do for a living --- be prepared for a LONG explanation!  I have so much to do at the moment I can't help but thank God for all the blessings!

One of the greatest perks of my work?  Dealing and meeting people on a daily basis.  This is my most favorite part of my job.  I've always been the sociable-type!  I remembered back when I was 8 years old, my aunt left me at the reception area of the hospital and she came back seeing me at the center of this small group charming my way to strangers!  It's a gift guys!  That is how I deal with boredom and how I learn new things!

Thank God that talent of "yak" was put into use!  I am a proud trainer for various companies (thanks guys for hiring me!)

Dove Deo Cares

That awkward stage when you first had your period then you are starting to grow hair on unwanted places.  I remembered around 12 years old, right after I got my period, I started to see a strand (or 2) of armpit hair (gosh!  TOO MUCH INFORMATION!)  But oh well, that's the truth!  I remembered rushing to my older sister (thank goodness I have older sister to lean on to!) and we even scheduled a bonding time after dinner for her to pluck that 2 strands of hair!

Of course, puberty kicks in and that 2 strands multiplied into a number I couldn't imagine!  Okay, it wasn't a "lawn" but some aren't visible to the naked eye!  That's when I first purchased my "pink shaver" from a health store. Ahhh I remember how I felt so "mature" and a "full-pledged woman"!

Fast-forward to today, there are so many ways to remove unwanted hair.  With all the options, I still find myself going back to my trustee shaver especially since I don't have time to book an appointment outside!

Now, shaving maybe the quickest, easiest, least painful way to remove unwanted hair, did you know that shaving also takes off 1/3 of your skin?  ALong with your hair, shaving takes away the top-most-layer of your skin leaving it raw, sensitive and prone to further damage.

That leads to bumpy, dry and dark underarms!

For women like me who can't give up shaving at times, it is good to pick a deodorant that will help soothe and repair damage caused by shaving!

Thanks to my Sampleroom family for sending these Dove goodies and you girls can try before you buy!

Dove Deodorant have 1/4 moisturizing cream and been formulated to moisturize underarm skin while protecting it with its gentle, skin-loving ingredients.  I also love how my underarm does not darken as compared to not using Dove at all!

My favorite Dove Deo is their Original Whitening Stick Deodorant

Initial Thoughts: Belo Essentials For the Underarms

For the past years, I have survived not spending a single centavo on underarm products!
Why?  Well, I don't seem to perspire a lot (must be in the genes) and my underarms are actually thanking me for not putting any products thus it looks just as fine!

BUT...after giving birth and my hormones literally went berserk!  I am sweating more like a pig!  And it doesn't help that I have to chase after my son almost every minute of his waking life!

So yes, I'm finally using Underarm protection once again because I don't want to be the mom who chases after her son inside the mall with a huge circle of "perspiration" right were it's not supposed to!

All thanks to my SampleRoom family for sending me what Ann Curtis swears by!  The Belo Beauty Duo!

First pair of the duo would be the Belo Essentials Spray in Shower Fresh ...

And the Belo Essentials Deo Roll-On!
Sample Room sent me Shower Fresh while I own the Original Variant

How to Get Good Skin (Shower Edition)

You probably have an idea on what I use on my face, body, hands and feet based on the products I review each day.  But what do I really use when I take a shower?  What do I do to protect my skin keeping it (as much as possible) healthy and smooth?

Okay, I've thought about this post so many times and I get a bit overwhelmed because I just have so many bath products!  Blame the "Beauty Blogger" in me.  To keep this post simple and straightforward, I will divide this post into Hair Care, Body Care and so on so that ...you won't think I'm using too many products!  *laughs*

No judging okay?

To start off, it helps to make your "shower room", "bathing area", "comfort room" (depends on how you call it) as comfortable as possible.  Why?  Because it is actually a place where you get the ULTIMATE ME time!  Not unless you always take shower with another person *winks winks*  Okay, back to R-rating!  Shower time is like the ultimate "rest" for me especially now that I'm a mommy!  So make each shower experience worth it and your skin will also thank you for it!

To give you an idea on the products I use for my body, here's an "overview".  By the way, I have a total of 3 racks and this one, I call my "Body Rack" (Body rock!)

To start off, keep in mind that I change products every now and then but the "basics" will always be there.  What are my basics?

A Friendly Reminder: Visit Your Dentist TODAY!

I recently got back from a dentist appointment and I almost didn't hear the end of it!  For the first time after many years, I was scolded!  For not taking care of my teeth by going to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned at least once every 3-6 months.  I deserve all the things she told me as it has been more than a year (okay, almost 2 years) that I didn't visit her!  I have so many excuse like I was busy breastfeeding, taking care of my baby, etc...

But one thing she said that hit me and I think deserves a blog post!  She said I MAY have Bad Breathe if I continue to ignore my teeth!  I tried to give an excuse by telling her I brush my teeth after EVERY meal, I use mouthwash and floss!  She said it's NOT enough!  And I got to read this article! *laughs*
