Askmewhats Version: Everyday Ullzang Look

As requested by Gia I hope you like this! :)

What is Ullzang?

Ullzang Look means Doll Eyed Look. It means "best face" in Korean (Correct me if I'm wrong). Most girls create this look by wearing circle lenses. Lenses that can make your eyes huge! They are known for their large, glassy, doll-like eyes and their cute expressions.

If you're expecting to see big huge eyes, sorry to disappoint you, I don't wear contacts and only God knows if I even know how to put one on! :) I will try my best to do a daytime version of Ullzang. A look that anyone could wear...anytime of the day!

But of course, you don't need to use falsies, I use falsies for photo purposes, if you have naturally long lashes, just use a lot of coat of mascara and curl it! :)

Here's Askmewhat's
Everyday Ullzang Version

How did I achieve this look?

Step 1:

Prime my lid with Benefit's Lemon Aid, as I said over my review, this can make your lid space appears larger. (Thanks Grace for this, I really love this)

Pat on Prestige's quad in the lightest color or use any shimmery beige color all over lids.

Step 2:

Using any creamy black eyeliner, draw a thick line on the upper and lower lash line (in diagram, color purple)

Step 3:

Smudge a dark brown color on top of the creamy black eyeliner so it's not too dark for daytime look.

Step 4:

Using a pencil brush, smudge the same dark color on the lower lashline, leaving the inner 3rds of the lower lashes

Step 5:

For Ullzang look, black and white eyeliners are the most important to create this look. Line the inner thirds of the lower lash line and the inner corner of the eye with a creamy white eyeliner.

Step 6:

Using my favorite Bourjois Beige Rose e/s, apply this all over the brow bone area to create a nice highlight. Go all the way to the inner sides of the eye. I also use this to highlight my nose bridge

I applied falsies for photo purpose
You can skip the lashes and
apply coats of your favorite mascara

And what did I use
for the rest of my face?

I lined my eyes again with
Makeup masala's Gel Liner in Inky Black

Clinique's Foundation in True Beige
Set with Body Shop's Mineral Foundation in no. 2

To make this look dainty
Use a pinkish blush applying
on the apples of the cheeks

Lancome Lipstick
Color Fever
in Rose

Hope my eyes are big enough!
LOL

Thanks for the request!
I really enjoyed doing this!
I never thought of doing this look if it wasn't for the request!
I find that it does make my eyes huge,
even without the falsies!
So I want to thank you too Gia for the request!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Stay Happy!

Weekend Food Tripping at: Mesa Steak Sizzlers

I am not a rice eater. But if it's sizzling plate, give me the rice! :)
If you are in a hurry and you want a quick meal that's affordable and serves really fast! Go for sizzling plates available on most food court in every mall!

Mesa Steak Sizzlers, located at the Trinoma Mall, I would say it's not the best! But if fills my tummy well :)
Salisbury Burger Steak
Php75.00 (approx $1.60)

I moved the egg for you to see If I eat sizzling,
I go for the Salisbury burger steak!

Me and hubby loves to share our food
So he chose

Beef Tapa
Php90.00 (approx $1.88)

Did you know that?

Tapa means "dried or cured meat", the meat are usually prepared in thin slices of meat and cure it with salt and spices as a method of preserving it. Tapa is best fried or grilled, often served with rice, fried egg with some vegetables.

I also went to HBC (a local beauty store) and saw they have polishes on sale. Most of the polishes ranges from Php34.00-36.00 (approx $0.71 - $0.75). I saw they were all priced Php25.00 (approx $0.52). I have never tried San San nail polish so I mentally thought about my polish collection and chose mostly frosted polish colors :) I can't wait to use them! I hope they're good!

L-R No. 59, No. 56, No. 22 and No. 14
(sorry no color name but numbers)

I also got a surprise package this morning!
2 Makeup Masala Gel Liners!

I've seen the swatch on
Toma's site
and
I am so excited to use this!
Please wait for my review soon!
(Thanks Toma!!!)

Happy weekend everyone!

let me know your exciting plans for weekend!
I'll definitely be staying home!
Lazy bum! lol

I Wonder: "When was the last time you saw your dentist?"

We always talk about skincare, haircare and loads of topic about cosmetics.
And I've always been a "Keep On Smiling" ambassador!
I went to the dentist today, and it took me 2 hours! Yes, 2 hours to have my teeth cleaned!
I thought I take care of my teeth, I brush them 3 times a day!
Gosh, I just learned that I was super mean to my teeth and gums!!!

My teeth and gum history ---
  • I have retainers on my lower teeth, which should be adjusted a year ago LOL
  • I have complete set of teeth
  • My teeth are super small, like a baby
  • Everytime I brush my teeth, my gums bleed
  • I don't floss everyday, because of the bleeding problem
  • I do gargle, but not consistently
I went to my dentist today to have it cleaned, and boy oh boy! I was bleeding mad! I have a mild case of gingivitis and I need to take vitamin C. My dentist was kind enough and even apologizes everytime I flinch, it's not even her fault but I swear, I can donate blood because my gums kept on producing them!!! hahaha

Seriously, after the 2-hour cleaning, I went straight to a local beauty store and I pledge to myself to be a changed woman!

Here's what I did ---
  • bought a new toothbrush, I made sure to buy the EXTRA SOFT bristles
  • I bought dental floss
  • Bought alcohol free mouthwash as my gum are too sensitive for strong alcohol content of some mouthwash
  • Bought a new toothpaste, yes PYODONTYL and for inexpensive alternative GUMTECT, it's you and me!
This hit me, how can we pretty
if our set of teeth are not healthy?
That's why I have to ask you this....

"When was the last time you had your dental check?"

This is a reminder post
because I care!
Stay Happy!

Askmewhats Reviews: MAC Mineralized SkinFinish Light

Finally! I have my own MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Foundation! I am religiously using this to top my BB cream or to retouch my face midday :) Time for a review!!!

MAC Mineralized SkinFinish Natural says ---

A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day.

Ingredients:

Talc, Nylon-12, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Isopropyl Palmitate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Yeast Extract, Tocopheryl Actetate, Retinyl Plamitate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, BHT, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben

Askmewhats says ---

Pros
  • natural looking
  • very smooth to the skin
  • no matter how many times I touch up, does not cake on me
  • gives out a dewy look
  • does not create a white cast
Cons
  • not the best pal for oil control
  • packaging, I would prefer if they have a small compartment for a small brush or puff, not everyone have the retractable brush to carry along
  • the powder tends to scatter when you use a powder, it messes up the case (OC-ness in me, sorry)
  • a bit pricey for a setting powder, but it lasts long
Overall

MAC Mineralized SkinFinish Natural is the answer for people who likes to re-touch in the middle of the day. This is perfect for someone who likes natural or sheer coverage that doesn't feel heavy on warm days.

I actually carry this along with me everyday for the "re-touching". I've used this to my friends as well and it blends in to their skin color immediately!!! Do not expect coverage, again, this is a nice setting powder!

Tips
  • use a retractable kabuki for retouch as the retractable one doesn't get exposed to dirt
  • DO NOT DROP THIS! This is a very delicate product and can easily crack
  • if you have super oily skin: Go for the MAC Studio Fix foundation for touch ups
  • for light to medium coverage: Use this alone over a moisturizer or tinted moisturizer
  • for medium to heavy coverage: use this over liquid foundation and concealer
Will I repurchase?

Yes, because of my dry skin, I am looking for touch up powders that do not dry up my skin :) I still love my P&J Dual Powder Foundation, but on days that I don't need a lot of coverage, this is the one! :)

Where did I purchase and how much?

At local MAC store for Php1,500 (approx $30.00)

The MAC SA told me the right color for me is LIGHT
I agree, this disappears on my skin

Here's how Light looks like on my finger

This is my first MAC MSF!
It was a happy experience! :)
Do you think this will work for you?
Are you using one?
Tell me!
Have a great weekend people of the world!
Stay happy! :D
