Nail Art Tutorial: Spring Time Greens

Hello People of the World! :)

I spent my weekend with my nails! On Saturday I went to a salon for my manicure and pedicure and went out with bare nails. The lady was too funny, she kept on asking who did my nails and how long I had it on. I said: "A week!" and she demanded: "Why do you want to remove them?" LOL I got so embarrassed because the other clients are looking at me already thinking that I'm a high maintenance whore who wants to change my nail polish weekly.

Well...it's true!

I love changing it weekly not because I want to look pretty, it's because I honest-to-goodness love doing nail art! I may not be great with it but hey! It's pure love and passion we're talking about! LOL

As seen in my previous post, I've bought a couple of new polishes but nothing inspired me to use them. I searched through my collection and found this polish I have and never used :) It's PERFECT for Spring and Summer! :) Hope you like it!

Step 1:

Apply 2 coats of lime green polish. I use Maybelline's Colorama in Neon green . Let dry.

Step 2:

Using my yellow nail art pen, apply a line over the tip of your nails. French Tip version.

You can stop here if you like it simple

Step 3:

Using any clear polish, apply it over the french tip Lime-yellow nails...

While wet, drop in dots for petals. Use any color you want. This is the fun part! Combining different colors and making it work :)

Step 4:

Use needle to drag the dots. If you're a reader of my nail art tutorial, you know why I do this step :)

Do this to both flowers :)

Step 5:

Add some extra "oomph" on the nail art :)

Step 6:

I like glittery nails, so I apply Elianto's Glitter polish over the nails.
. Top with a top coat again.

This could be my version of St. Patrick Day Nails too!
But I find this more on a spring look! :)
I hope you like it!
Stay Happy!

Askmewhats Reviews: Ellana Lip Color

I got the chance to try this wonderful lip stain when i met Gale from My Wonderful World of Colors during my Askmewhats Seminar for a Cause. Gale knew that I wanted a lip product that stays on and non drying! Thanks so much for the chance to try this product! This has been a staple in my makeup bag since then!

Ellana Minerals Cosmetics says ---

Ellana Lip Color in Romance

Cons

  • not too hygienic because of the packaging
Overall

This is a wonderful lip stain! When Gale told me this will last long on me. I was finding it hard to believe her as I seldom find lip products that does the job. This product made me look like I was born with a perfect colored lips!

Tips
  • use a lip brush with this so you don't contaminate the product
  • for super dry lips like mine: apply lip balm before applying this product
  • for longer lasting color: apply this directly on your lips, lip stain stays longer if applied straight to your lips
  • for glossy lips effect: apply a colorless lipgloss on top of this
Will I repurchase?

YES!

Where can you purchase and how much?

At Itzmei's multiply site (for local buyers)
or Ellana website (for both local and international buyers)
Price: Php150.00 (approx $3.00)

Romance looks super dark on packaging
but looks really pretty when applied

on lips
applied alone

Any lip stain you can recommend?
I've got full, dry lips!

Askmewhats Version: Everyday Ullzang Look

As requested by Gia I hope you like this! :)

What is Ullzang?

Ullzang Look means Doll Eyed Look. It means "best face" in Korean (Correct me if I'm wrong). Most girls create this look by wearing circle lenses. Lenses that can make your eyes huge! They are known for their large, glassy, doll-like eyes and their cute expressions.

If you're expecting to see big huge eyes, sorry to disappoint you, I don't wear contacts and only God knows if I even know how to put one on! :) I will try my best to do a daytime version of Ullzang. A look that anyone could wear...anytime of the day!

But of course, you don't need to use falsies, I use falsies for photo purposes, if you have naturally long lashes, just use a lot of coat of mascara and curl it! :)

Here's Askmewhat's
Everyday Ullzang Version

How did I achieve this look?

Step 1:

Prime my lid with Benefit's Lemon Aid, as I said over my review, this can make your lid space appears larger. (Thanks Grace for this, I really love this)

Pat on Prestige's quad in the lightest color or use any shimmery beige color all over lids.

Step 2:

Using any creamy black eyeliner, draw a thick line on the upper and lower lash line (in diagram, color purple)

Step 3:

Smudge a dark brown color on top of the creamy black eyeliner so it's not too dark for daytime look.

Step 4:

Using a pencil brush, smudge the same dark color on the lower lashline, leaving the inner 3rds of the lower lashes

Step 5:

For Ullzang look, black and white eyeliners are the most important to create this look. Line the inner thirds of the lower lash line and the inner corner of the eye with a creamy white eyeliner.

Step 6:

Using my favorite Bourjois Beige Rose e/s, apply this all over the brow bone area to create a nice highlight. Go all the way to the inner sides of the eye. I also use this to highlight my nose bridge

I applied falsies for photo purpose
You can skip the lashes and
apply coats of your favorite mascara

And what did I use
for the rest of my face?

I lined my eyes again with
Makeup masala's Gel Liner in Inky Black

Clinique's Foundation in True Beige
Set with Body Shop's Mineral Foundation in no. 2

To make this look dainty
Use a pinkish blush applying
on the apples of the cheeks

Lancome Lipstick
Color Fever
in Rose

Hope my eyes are big enough!
LOL

Thanks for the request!
I really enjoyed doing this!
I never thought of doing this look if it wasn't for the request!
I find that it does make my eyes huge,
even without the falsies!
So I want to thank you too Gia for the request!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Stay Happy!

Weekend Food Tripping at: Mesa Steak Sizzlers

I am not a rice eater. But if it's sizzling plate, give me the rice! :)
If you are in a hurry and you want a quick meal that's affordable and serves really fast! Go for sizzling plates available on most food court in every mall!

Mesa Steak Sizzlers, located at the Trinoma Mall, I would say it's not the best! But if fills my tummy well :)
Salisbury Burger Steak
Php75.00 (approx $1.60)

I moved the egg for you to see If I eat sizzling,
I go for the Salisbury burger steak!

Me and hubby loves to share our food
So he chose

Beef Tapa
Php90.00 (approx $1.88)

Did you know that?

Tapa means "dried or cured meat", the meat are usually prepared in thin slices of meat and cure it with salt and spices as a method of preserving it. Tapa is best fried or grilled, often served with rice, fried egg with some vegetables.

I also went to HBC (a local beauty store) and saw they have polishes on sale. Most of the polishes ranges from Php34.00-36.00 (approx $0.71 - $0.75). I saw they were all priced Php25.00 (approx $0.52). I have never tried San San nail polish so I mentally thought about my polish collection and chose mostly frosted polish colors :) I can't wait to use them! I hope they're good!

L-R No. 59, No. 56, No. 22 and No. 14
(sorry no color name but numbers)

I also got a surprise package this morning!
2 Makeup Masala Gel Liners!

I've seen the swatch on
Toma's site
and
I am so excited to use this!
Please wait for my review soon!
(Thanks Toma!!!)
