Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks (Fire & Ice Collection) Review

I blogged about the Revlon Fire & Ice Collection Nail Polish a week ago and I reported to you that the polish shades have their matching lipstick partner.  Finally, I am ready to review these after more than a week of usage!  I tried alternating these shades daily to work so that I get the "feel" of these and give you a well-deserved review.

The reason why I use MAC lipsticks mostly on clients because luckily, clients have better looking lips than the AMW Make-up Artist!  *laughs*  I prefer lipgloss with a hint of color as it looks healthy and natural on my very dry lips!  With the new MAC Sheen Supreme, I wish I could at least find MAC lip products that works for me!  The great news?  These are made non-sticky! *woohooo!*

Eureka Moment: Moisturizing Liquid Soap

I have a tube of hand cream inside my bag, on top of my office table and right beside my bed!  Do I use them as often as needed?  *smiles sheepishly*....NO!

I think a lot of you have the same sentiments as I do.  It feels weird to use a hand cream after every wash especially when you're off to write or type or especially when you plan to eat!  Hats off to people out there who are very determined to have soft hands!

If there's a will there's a way, there are products for lazy people or people with a lot of excusses. *me!*  I am into liquid soap because it does not strip as much oil as regular soaps!  I've been a liquid soap user from Brands A-Z!  I've used a couple and found nothing spectacular!

Eureka Moment!

A brand that makes good body lotion came out with a Moisturizing Liquid Soap!  Housed in a very simple white and mint green packaging, I've tested it right away!

Something New: MAC Wonder Woman

I seldom blog about MAC collections because we get to see them a lot online via various websites!  With the Spring 2011 collection, I told myself I have to share this because this is where my Wonder Woman Nails came from, inspiration for the week - Women Power!  I'd love to fight Wonder Woman and catch all those MAC Wonder Woman collection she's throwing away!  Any joiners?  *laughs*

Readers' Corner: Inexpensive Alternative for Kiehl's Lip Balm No. 1

I was asked a lot of times on what lip treatment I've used that I would recommend.  I've always say for the very dry lips like yours truly, I'd invest on Kiehl's Lip Balm No. 1!  There's also an inexpensive alternative on using Petroleum Jelly but not everyone like the feel and taste of it.  

After trying out several brands, there's 2 in the market that's "almost similar" to the famous Kiehl's Lip Balm that people on the budget can try! 

Mentholatum Lip Gel

Smoothening and improving texture of chafed, chapped lips.

 Texture is not too sticky  nor runny, just right!

The slanted applicator makes it very easy to apply on lips without messing up your fingers!  

Hydrates, moisturize lips instantly and I love the nice minty-feel
Nice tingling sensation stays for more than 5 minutes.

Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm

Helps to moisturize and relieve dry chapped lips.

The rounded and smooth head makes it easy to apply straight to the lips

Texture of the balm is not too runny more sticky.  Just right.

Easy to apply straight to the lips or if you're sharing this,
you can choose to use your fingers or lip brush in application.  Hygienic packaging.

On lips, tingling sensation stays for more than 5 minutes!

Both products are worth giving a try especially if you're on the budget.  Mentholatum is runnier in texture while Carmex is a tad bit stickier.  Both have this nice minty feel which makes it really relaxing and soothing once applied on lips!

Carmex has a stronger minty taste while Mentholatum is on to the lighter side.  Both can relieve dry, chapped lips.  Both products work when used on a daily basis.  I like using them night time before I go to sleep and early morning while I dry my hair!  Both products are inexpensive yet works like a charm!
