Nail Art Tutorial: It's A Baby Boy!

Last weekend, Mr. AMW and I had a Pregnancy Shoot at Blow-Up Babies Inc. located at Serendra.  I'll tell you more about my experience doing a pregnancy pictorial once I get the photos!

To prepare for the shoot, I want baby AMW to know how much excited we are to welcome him!  So I've decided to create a nail art design to welcome him!

Shiseido Maquillage True Cheek Review

Aside from lipstick, one of the most needed retouch for me is blush!  Have you tried patting on your favorite face powder inside the powder room and see how pale your reflection gets?  It happens to me a lot of times and I seldom have a blush with me as I'm afraid I could break a perfectly looking blush palette with my constant "bag-dropping" skills!

Recently, I was able to acquire 2 new blushes from Shiseido Maquillage line and the packaging is heaven-sent as it reminded me so much of my favorite Clinique Quick Blush which isn't available locally!  (Smile and click HERE for previous post).  The post was written more than 3 years ago and I was praying cosmetics companies would come up with this smartly packaged blush for girls on-the-go!  Glad my prayers are answered!

The Shiseido Maquillage True Cheek is part of the Summer/Spring 2013 collection and thankfully, I'm not late in posting this!  (I have a knack of posting products that are from last year as I tend to take my time using the product and forgot about the time frame!  So sorry?!? :P)

True Cheeks looks just like a big sister of your regular lipstick!

Weekend Food Trip at: Sentro 1771

The last time I was at Sentro was with a dear Malaysian blogger friends Lisa and Alex (post HERE).  I didn't get to go back as I wasn't out much anyways!  *laughs*

When my college friends have decided to meet up before me and my other friend Charmie pop (yes! 2 pregnant ladies in the house!)  it was a quick decision to dine at Sentro because we had quite fun memories hanging inside this restaurant for the past years!

What's new at Sentro?  Unfortunately, that night, the air conditioner wasn't working well so I was sweating like a pig!  Thankfully, food tastes great!

Squash Soup
Php90.00 (approx $2.50)
A chunky vegetable puree soup of squash.
I've had better Squash soup in other restaurants, it's not because the soup wasn't made right but the squash used isn't that sweet.  So far, I'm still happy with this order as I was awfully craving for a thick and creamy soup that night!

Adobong KangKong
Php80.00 (approx $2.00)
Water spinach braised and stewed in vinegar
This was consistently good as well!  Spinach is still crunchy and the added crispy garlic bits made this dish a delightful appetizer!  Of course, this is also perfect with rice!

Vegetable Spring Rolls
Php250.00 (approx $6.25)
Deep-fried spring rolls stuffed with Baguio beans, cabbage,
carrots, sweet potato, onions and squash
This was my friend's order and since I was looking at it like I'm ready to devour it, she delightfully offered me to try her dish and I love it!  I'm a fan of vegetable spring rolls and this gave a refreshing taste to the usual spring rolls I've tried.  Very light on the tummy and the vinegar is just right for that extra kick.

Sinigang na Corned Beef
 Solo Php310.00 (approx $7.20)
Sharing Php595.00 (approx $13.90)
Corned beef short ribs and boneless shanks in tamarind broth with native vegetables
This dish will always be present if we dine at Sentro!  The unlimited soup is a huge plus as I'm a soup lover!  The corned beef is consistently tender and tasty!  Must try!

Fried Chicken Cutlets
Solo: Php350.00 (approx $8.75)
Tender chicken breast coated with breadcrumbs and
deep-fried until golden brown; served with sweet chili sauce
I didn't get to taste this that night as I was trying to prevent possible allergies!  Mr. AMW told me the chicken strips is indeed very tender and I can see it on his every bite!  Will definitely give this a try once I'm done giving birth and I can happily plop my anti-histamines!

Stir Fried Noodles and Vegetables
Solo Php280.00 (approx $7.00)
Plump glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and Baguio Beans, shrimps and chicken.
Hubby was craving for something unique and different and I'm not sure how he ended up with noodle dish but he quite liked the taste.  It is indeed different from most stir fried noodles dish we have (mostly from Chinese restaurants) so this is such a refreshing taste of thick fat noodles with ample amount of chicken bits. I hope they could add more of the glass noodles though!

As with every visit, service was good, the servers were all pretty helpful no matter how busy the place is!  The restaurant accepts both cash and credit card payments.

AMW Bulletin: Jorgendipity.com

Hi AMW friends!  Remember my post about The Rose Fever because of this guy named Jorgen?  Everyone who commented mentioned how sweet he was and hope we get to have more guys like him!  (I concur!)

Because I'm a researcher by nature (in short: Chismosa), I went ahead and Google-d Jorgen and found a site dedicated and written for him by a girl named Christine.

Admit it, you're leaving my site now and heading to Jorgendipity website now!  *hmph*  Oh well, a love story is a love story, who doesn't want that?

Jorgendipity, the website reminded me so much of my favorite movie of all time!  Serendipity!  I watched the movie so many times I memorized a lot of their lines!  And ohhhh, remember this line?  “When love feels like magic, you call it destiny. When destiny has a sense of humor, you call it Serendipity.” *sigh*

Back to Jorgendipity!  As I read through posts after posts, I started at her first blog post by the way, I can't help but be reminded of the time I was in love!  I didn't write a blog post then but I have my diary tuck safely inside my "treasure chest"!

(Click photos to read article)

The One --- when we're in love, we always think of the guy we eye on as the ONE, the final one who we get to walk down the aisle with!  Right?  Wrong?

Well, when Keith became my seat mate senior high, we hit it off instantly!  We were sharing each others' crush-stories during Chinese class and did I ever thought he's the one?  At that very moment, no!  I just thanked God I found myself a new best friend!  It was just an added bonus that he was indeed... "THE ONE!"

Christine may call Jorgen her Knight in Shining Jersey, but I call Keith my "First Aid" (True story, that's my super childish codename for him!)   Why First Aid?  Well, I was having a dramatic moment with my crush then who doesn't give me the time of the day so when Keith came along, I realized, he healed my heart!  *laughs*  Looking back, I'm embarrassed!  So corny! :P

10 Things Christine Love About Jorgen?  Wow, she is definitely in love as that's the exact 10 things + MORE that I love about Keith!  When we get to be in love, we always try to write a list of the things we love about the person, but as years passed by, you also get to know the person better and a list of things we don't like about the person will surely surface!  As for me, true love means accepting the person for who he/she is, the list of pros and cons may go on and on but you'll realize that you'll lose track in counting and just enjoy the moment of spending time with the ONE you love!

Have you read Christine's posts on Jorgendipity.com

AMW Reviews: Moringa O2 Herbal Moisturizing Lotion

When I received a handle of Moringa-O2 products last year, I set it aside as I wasn't in the mood to use any brand of skin care products except Palmer's.  When i finally finished the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion and I told myself I'm ready to explore other brands of lotion, Moringa-O2 came to mind as my fellow beauty blogger/friend Sophie was raving about it!

Out of topic, I'm starting to take Malunggay tablets (just in case to increase milk production) so using Malunggay-made products externally made me feel like I'm wearing pink blush with matching pink colored lipstick!  Okay, that's totally unrelated but you girls understand how I feel right?  *laughs*

On my tummy area, I still use oils to protect my skin from stretchmarks and itchiness, as for the rest of my body (arms and legs) I have used Moringa-O2 Herbal Moisturizing Lotion for a month now and here's my feedback on the said inexpensive, proudly Philippine-made brand!

Moringa says --- (information taken from Sample Room)

Moringa O2 combines powerful multi-vitamins, antioxidants and minerals from Malunggay, Olive Oil and Omega to deeply nourish and moisturize dry and sensitive skin.  Moringa O2 is best recommended for those with the following skin conditions:
  • For dry and sensitive skin
  • For itchy skin
  • Aging skin
  • Skin asthma and Keratosis Pilaris
Ingredients:

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Simple yet cute packaging.
  • Smells GREAT!  Even better than some international lotion brands I've tried.
  • Easily absorbed by the skin.
  • Non-greasy.
  • Skin remains soft and moisturized the whole day.
  • Itchiness was lessened especially on my lower leg area where it itches the most.
  • Gives a refreshing feel after massage.
  • Price.
  • No allergies nor skin irritations.
Cons
  • None.
Overall
Inexpensive skincare product/brand that works in terms of moisturizing and how it soothes dry, parched skin.

Tips
  • Best applied after shower.
  • Can be used both day and night.
  • Transfer some of the product in a smaller container and use it as your hand cream after every hand wash.
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Everyone!

Where to purchase and how much?
Available at leading department stores and supermarkets for Php129.75 (approx $3.24) for 125ml bottle.  Like Moringa O2 on Facebook for product updates and check out Sample Room once in awhile for more product samples.

Flip top cap that's easy to clean after every use.

The texture of Moringa O2 Herbal Moisturizing Lotion is not too thick or watery.

Have you tried Moringa-O2 products?
How about their sister brand Gluta-C?

So far, the only Gluta-C product I've tried is their Whitening Soap but I haven't used it up as I stopped using it upon learning I got pregnant!  So far, my first experience on Moringa-O2 is positive and I can't wait try their Herbal Facial Toner and Herbal Soap!
