Good morning AMW friends! Today, I will be reviewing a new make up brand that I get to learn early this year! Make Up Store is a leading make up brand in Sweden and the brand has finally arrived bringing in a new "World Of Colors" as the brand states.
On first glance, the packaging screams "Professional". Let's start with their Sheer Lipstick!

AMW Reviews: Colgate Total Pro-Gum Health Toothpaste
As I'm almost at the end point of my pregnancy, let me share to you some of the things I took into account as soon as I learned I was pregnant. Honestly speaking, I am surprisingly not as prepared as I imagined myself to be, I have so many things missed out when I compare notes with my mommy friends or pregnant friends! But one thing I didn't miss for sure is to take care of my health as I want to be a healthy mom when Baby AMW arrives.
One test I didn't pass up is the test on Gestational Diabetes. Gestational Diabetes is actually is high blood sugar that starts or is first diagnosed during pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones can block insulin from doing its job. When this
happens, glucose levels may increase in a pregnant woman's blood. (Source)
**photo taken during 30th week of pregnancy
Once I reached 27th week, I went up for a test right away to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. Why?
- My family has a history of diabetes.
- I tend to lean on sugared drinks during my first 2 trimesters as I can't seem to down regular water.
- I am older than 25 years old.
Thankfully, my results came in negative! But that doesn't mean I can rejoice and enjoy all the sweets at sight! I've decided not only to control the amount of sweet intake; I also make sure to take care of my teeth. Remember my previous review on Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief? I did share a story about my last dental visit and I was advised that I do not only have sensitive teeth but I have sensitive gums as well! Even without going to the dentist, I know I have sensitive gums as they bleed every single time I brush my teeth! With the added sweets on my diet now that I'm pregnant, I do not plan to take risks and lose my teeth! I've also added Colgate Pro-Gum Health Toothpaste in my daily brushing needs.
Colgate says ---
Clinically proven to help reduce gum problems by up to 88%. Colgate Total Pro-Gum Health has a unique formula helps fight harmful bacteria build-up that causes gum problems. By fighting bacteria build-up for 12 hours, it provide non-stop care for your gums.

Size: 86ml/110g
Pros
- Has a fresh mint taste
- Has a soothing feel after every brush.
- Gums were never swollen or tender as compared to using regular toothpaste.
- No more bleeding gums.
- Mouth feels fresh all day!
Cons
- None
I was just boasting to my husband how grateful I am I don't have any teeth or gum problems by using the right kind of toothpaste. At the start of my first trimester, I can feel my teeth loosening up and gums were always bleeding after brushing. Now I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy, I'm glad I don't have to deal with any teeth-related problems and only have to worry on other pregnancy related symptoms!
Tips
- Best gift for diabetics or even those who are into sweets or have bleeding gums each time they brush their teeth.
- Use soft bristled toothbrush and brush your teeth and gums gently.
- Have a dental check at least once every 6 months!
- If you suffer from diabetes, have yourself checked with a professional and don't forget to care for your teeth as well!
Will I repurchase?
Yes!
To whom do I recommend this to?
Where to purchase and how much?
Costs Php126.00 (approx $3.15) based on SRP.
Recently, I've read a magazine article regarding Diabetics and gum problems. Yes, Diabetics are more susceptible to develop serious gum
disease as they decrease the ability to fight bacterial infection that
invades the gum! My mom, a long time diabetic, is starting to complain how her gums are in recession so I make sure she does not only take the right medication for diabetes but she has to pay special attention to her oral health as well! I will definitely recommend this to both my mom and dad because I love them and I want them to stay healthy and happy just like the way they took care of me!
Do you or any of your loved suffer from diabetes?
Are you aware that diabetes could also cause gum problems?

Last weekend, Mr. AMW and I had a Pregnancy Shoot at Blow-Up Babies Inc. located at Serendra. I'll tell you more about my experience doing a pregnancy pictorial once I get the photos!
To prepare for the shoot, I want baby AMW to know how much excited we are to welcome him! So I've decided to create a nail art design to welcome him!

Shiseido Maquillage True Cheek Review
Aside from lipstick, one of the most needed retouch for me is blush! Have you tried patting on your favorite face powder inside the powder room and see how pale your reflection gets? It happens to me a lot of times and I seldom have a blush with me as I'm afraid I could break a perfectly looking blush palette with my constant "bag-dropping" skills!
Recently, I was able to acquire 2 new blushes from Shiseido Maquillage line and the packaging is heaven-sent as it reminded me so much of my favorite Clinique Quick Blush which isn't available locally! (Smile and click HERE for previous post). The post was written more than 3 years ago and I was praying cosmetics companies would come up with this smartly packaged blush for girls on-the-go! Glad my prayers are answered!
The Shiseido Maquillage True Cheek is part of the Summer/Spring 2013 collection and thankfully, I'm not late in posting this! (I have a knack of posting products that are from last year as I tend to take my time using the product and forgot about the time frame! So sorry?!? :P)
True Cheeks looks just like a big sister of your regular lipstick!

Weekend Food Trip at: Sentro 1771
The last time I was at Sentro was with a dear Malaysian blogger friends Lisa and Alex (post HERE). I didn't get to go back as I wasn't out much anyways! *laughs*
When my college friends have decided to meet up before me and my other friend Charmie pop (yes! 2 pregnant ladies in the house!) it was a quick decision to dine at Sentro because we had quite fun memories hanging inside this restaurant for the past years!
What's new at Sentro? Unfortunately, that night, the air conditioner wasn't working well so I was sweating like a pig! Thankfully, food tastes great!
Squash Soup
Php90.00 (approx $2.50)
A chunky vegetable puree soup of squash.
I've had better Squash soup in other restaurants, it's not because the soup wasn't made right but the squash used isn't that sweet. So far, I'm still happy with this order as I was awfully craving for a thick and creamy soup that night!
Adobong KangKong
Php80.00 (approx $2.00)
Water spinach braised and stewed in vinegar
This was consistently good as well! Spinach is still crunchy and the added crispy garlic bits made this dish a delightful appetizer! Of course, this is also perfect with rice!
Vegetable Spring Rolls
Php250.00 (approx $6.25)
Deep-fried spring rolls stuffed with Baguio beans, cabbage,
carrots, sweet potato, onions and squash
This was my friend's order and since I was looking at it like I'm ready to devour it, she delightfully offered me to try her dish and I love it! I'm a fan of vegetable spring rolls and this gave a refreshing taste to the usual spring rolls I've tried. Very light on the tummy and the vinegar is just right for that extra kick.
Sinigang na Corned Beef
Solo Php310.00 (approx $7.20)
Sharing Php595.00 (approx $13.90)
Corned beef short ribs and boneless shanks in tamarind broth with native vegetables
This dish will always be present if we dine at Sentro! The unlimited soup is a huge plus as I'm a soup lover! The corned beef is consistently tender and tasty! Must try!
Fried Chicken Cutlets
Solo: Php350.00 (approx $8.75)
Tender chicken breast coated with breadcrumbs and
deep-fried until golden brown; served with sweet chili sauce
I didn't get to taste this that night as I was trying to prevent possible allergies! Mr. AMW told me the chicken strips is indeed very tender and I can see it on his every bite! Will definitely give this a try once I'm done giving birth and I can happily plop my anti-histamines!
Stir Fried Noodles and Vegetables
Solo Php280.00 (approx $7.00)
Plump glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and Baguio Beans, shrimps and chicken.
Hubby was craving for something unique and different and I'm not sure how he ended up with noodle dish but he quite liked the taste. It is indeed different from most stir fried noodles dish we have (mostly from Chinese restaurants) so this is such a refreshing taste of thick fat noodles with ample amount of chicken bits. I hope they could add more of the glass noodles though!
As with every visit, service was good, the servers were all pretty helpful no matter how busy the place is! The restaurant accepts both cash and credit card payments.
