Weekend Food Trip at: Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

The restaurant Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. has been around for so many years at Greenbelt Branch.  I would know because young Nikki and Keith would hover around the area wondering when we'll have the budget to dine in such restaurant!  #laughs  (Pero seriously, kuripot lang kami sa pagkain nung panahon na yon! #ShoppingOverFood)

But as we grow older, priorities changed, Food is Life na - aside from Coffee.

It was one of those weekends we go out with my husband's family.  I've decided to never mind the drive from Manila to Makati on a Sunday but heck was it super traffic at Roxas Blvd.  We hoped the food would be worth it for the hour plus drive!

Cajun Shrimp
Php425.00
Sauteed in hot and spicy Cajun Butter sauce. Served with garlic bread for dipping.

Serving is quite small for the price but we love the hint of spiciness and sweetness on fresh shrimps!  Yes, I can tell that shrimps are fresh because I didn't end up with crazy allergies!  The garlic bread is TDF (To Die For!)

Some Changes I've Done for Year 2018

2018 started out pretty well.
2 days after 2018, I was hired to do the job I love most - teach makeup to a small group of eager learners!

Aside from that, I was able to work with a brand for a very important project which I can finally tick off from my bucket list!

In life, it is easier to just "go with the flow" and stick to what works!  "Why change?  When everything's working out well?"

That statement gets to be blurted out so easily by me, I used to be that way, "Matigas ang ulo."  (hard-headed).  I disliked change so much it felt like "change" is trying to ruin the world that I'm trying the create - my tiny rigid universe.

Thankfully, my job entails me to meet, socialize and work with inspiring people.  Because of that, I got inspired, and inspiration welcomes CHANGE.  I can actually see myself changing, and it was the for the better because I can sense that!

Let's start with the simplest change in life that I managed to do.  Some sounded so childish and small, but it is because of these tiny changes I get the courage to aim for bigger goals!

Baby Dove is Here!

a photo of Baby Dove Rich Moisture and Sensitive Moisture Review

Baby Dove is here in the Philippines!  I wished they arrived earlier (around 4.5 years earlier), I remembered scouring the whole baby section of a supermarket and even go to Baby Fairs just to check out brands made specifically for babies --- there wasn't a lot of choices back then and I'm sure a lot of you who have bigger kids can relate to that!

I've used a LOT!  A whole lot!  There were a couple of misses where I've seen my then baby broke into rashes!  Baby oils that are said to be meant for sensitive skin actually burned his skin!

Did I felt bad?  YES!  Super bad!
But thankfully, I have a very supportive husband and understanding family who gave me a pat on the back and consoled me on how motherhood is really all about trial and errors!  There is no perfect handbook that would give all the right answers on how to be a perfect mom!
Because there's NONE.  And I am perfectly fine to do all the testing myself because I enjoyed the process (not all!)  but there are a couple of instances were I felt super proud of myself!

So seeing the arrival of Baby Dove actually brought me back to so much first-time motherhood memories!  With a lot of newbie moms messaging me after seeing my IG post on these products, I am so happy to be able to share a bit of my experience and knowledge as REAL as it gets! #RealMoms

And yes, one of the most sought after Baby products brand DOVE BABY is finally here!  No need to ask relatives or friends to purchase for you, they are here, in our local supermarket ---  Both Rich Moisture and Sensitive Moisture Variants.

Guerlain Meteorites CC Glow Colour Correcting Highlighter Review

Do you love Guerlain Meteorites as much as I do?
Well, it's not that type that I can't live without, but it's the type of product that makes you smile and happy whenever you see it on the dresser and gives you the natural high whenever it touches your face.

That must be the "luxe" feel that you're looking for on days you feel like nothing is turning out right!

This product, the Guerlain Meteorites CC Glow Colour Correcting Highlighter is part of the Spring 2018 collection from the brand.  Remember the recent post I wrote on the Guerlain Meteorites Heart Shape Palette?  Well, it comes as part of a COLLECTION.

This Colour Correcting Highlighter comes with sisters, there are 3 shades in total --- Green, Pink and Apricot.  And I went for the latter because I like to brighten up key areas of my face with just a twist from this cute pen!

Météorites CC Glow products from Guerlain are colour correctors that target and correct skin tone imperfections while offering a radiant and rejuvenating effect.

Based on the principle of colorimetry – two complementary colours cancel each other out when they are layered – Guerlain has developed three complexion correctors capable of effectively neutralising minor skin tone flaws: dark circles, dark spots or redness.
Each colour has a specific correcting property: green helps to neutralise redness, pink refreshes dull complexions, while apricot helps to erase areas of shadow and minor dark spots and offset the colour blue to counter dark circles.

Eye Of Horus Rubian Brown Goddess Pencil Review

I have always been a liquid liner + pencil liner combo user!  I use Liquid Liner for upper lashline and pencil liner for the waterline! That has been the best way for me to brighten up my eye.

I have my own favorites yet I always strive to look for the best in the market.  One brand that caught my attention is the Eye Of Horus and they created Goddess Pencil inspired by Egyptian Goddess, I mean, who has better-looking liner than Egyptian right?

Eye Of Horus is a brand that uses ingredients used during the ancient times --- Ancient Moringa Oil, Ancient Malachite and a whole lot more.  I may not be knowledgeable with all the ingredients but all I know (and is thankful for) are the products are all cruelty-free!
