Work to Workout Look

 

With everything opening up, restaurants, schools, and a lot more!  I am so lucky with meetings that are still done online.  I mean let's set COVID aside for a moment, I still don't want to go out because of Traffic!  I mean if things can be done online, why not?  I am so happy and thankful some companies feel the same.

That said, I already mastered my Work-From-Home game!  If there's a game!  My schedule is crazier and busier!  With Kyle's classes back in full blast and he is now in Grade 4, the exams and homeworks are CRAZY!!!!  Aside from the cooking mama job, I had to tutori him at the same time with my PR work and blogging work back in full blast, yes, I don't know how I can still manage it.  But so far, still good.  I just have to do a lot of changes in both schedule and the way I prepare myself.

Makeup - CHECK!

Outfit - CHECK!  for both Client meetings straight to working out!

If there's one outfit piece that I happily invest on, these are oversized Blazers!  I got this as a set and I always mix and match key pieces with my other outfit.  Just like this one!

An oversize formal blazer with a black top and ..... cycling shorts! :P

The top I picked can pass up as something a bit formal (ribbon and pleats and all! I am actually wearing a black sports bra underneath so you know the drill!  Straight to working out after meeting or in between meetings!  My meetings aren't usually packed closed to each other, there were waiting time approximatey 45 minutes to 1 hour --- so that means, I can do some weight lifting in between --- no cardio because that would ruin my hair! :P

As for makeup, I maintain light and natural-looking makeup.

Aegyo-Sal Tutorial

 

The Aegyo-sal trend has been around for as long as I can remember.  It was around way back when I started Blogging which was year 2007-2008.  Why is it such a hit again?

Blame Tiktok and IG reels!  These videos make it even more fun to try this trend!

I personal think NOT everyone should jump in to this trend as this look isn't meant for everybody!  Haven't you noticed most who does Aegyo-sal look uses satrated Filters too?  Because to really make look work, you got to have a super smooth makeup base,  and well, you should NOT have dark undereye circles and puffy eyes!  

If you said yes to those "don'ts"...it's finally time to do this look!

I had to use thicker concealer to hide undereye dark circles and did the Aegyo-sal tutorial darker than usual for it to show up on video.  In reality, the less obvious, the better!

After trying out so many products, the best ones to use for Aegyo-sal is a crease liner pen from Kate Tokyo.  Most video tutorials uses eyebrow powders or contour powder but they won't last!  They won't!!!  And I am speaking as someone who has dry skin, does not perspire on the face and does not oil up!  Imagine if you have oily skin?

Benefit Brow Zing Pro Palette Review

 

I've done a lot of makeup workshops and I always get the same question: "How to create natural-looking brows?"

And when I check on their makeup kit, most of them own Brow Pencils and liners.  I don't have a problem with that of course as all brow products can create natural-looking brows with the right application.

For first timers though, I highly recommend trying out brow powders - yes, scary to admit but brow powders are easier for first timer and the result will always be more natural.

Now that we put that thought away, I will share a brow kit I've been using for months now and I have also been double tasking this kit as an eyeshadow.

And since I have done gazillion of tutorials for brows, I will now share you an option to create defined brows or fluffy brows. 

Defined brows are great if you are a professional who like to look more made-up and professional in front of people while fluffy is perfect if you want to create that natural, relaxed vibe.

Truth be told, there is no better than the other brow-style, it all depends on which brow style you feel good.

Nayeon’s POP Hairstyle in MTV freshout

 

When Nayeon released her new single POP, I was so in love with her makeup and hairstyle!  Especially hairstyle!  I was  more in love when I saw her MTV Fresh Out live performance because this hairstyle brought me back to so many childhood memories.  My big sister loves to braid my hair and put ribbon and I like it so much I do not mind waking up early each day for her to braid my hair before I go to school!  

Looking back, I am so lucky to have such kind and loving big sister!  Thanks Winnie!

Obviously, I am no expert in braiding and I find it hard to make a perfect braid,  this was the best I an and I do not own small ribbons because --- hello??? How old am I ? LOL  Well, age is just a number but I only have a son so no point in buying cute kiddie ribbons!  But that did not stop me from using gift ribbons and cutting them in smaller pieces attaching them on my braids with a black hair pin!

I felt so young and happy with this hairstyle I wore this the whole day after taking this photo and hubby was happy too!  He was reminded of the times he had a crush on me in Highschool....yup!  We were highschool sweethearts and I married my first love :P

Biore UV Aqua Rich Light Up Essence Review

 

An SPF50 PA++++ seems like a bottle of disaster!  

That's what I thought when it comes to sunscreen in olden times, the higher the SPF, the whiter the skin and the uglier the white cast!  But coming from KAO Corporation and the brand name BIORE, I've got confidence that this product will be amazing because I have been using their other Biore sunscreen for years!

This is the latest sun screen from the brand and they get better each time!  The product still contain alcohol based from ingredients but this is NON drying.  I guess the presence of Royal Jelly extract helps!

I was expecting the texture to be translucent or milky since the term "Aqua" is there but it looks close to the previous Milky product - but this time, it is a combination of milky texture with gel-like consistency.  Once applied on face and body, you get a layer of "white" which disappears after constantly massaging and you are left with hydrated skin minus greasiness, tackiness and white cast!  None of those are there and I like how it felt comfortable and quite "cool" on skin.  This felt more like a day time moisturizer than sunblock!

Is it effective?  Well, I haven't tested these under the sun like beach but I have used this on errands day under summer sun and so far, I am still using light foundation as of the moment!  Most of all, it works as a good make up base!  My skin felt hydrated and there were days I even cheated!  I only use this sans moisturizer - do not follow me but the lazy bum in me at times won!

Overall, this is another great sunblock to use especially for our weather.  Warm, humid, rainy, sunny JUST PLAIN WEIRD :P
