Weekend Food Tripping at: Di'Mark's Pizza

Di'Mark's Pizza has been around since 1957, well I wasn't around them but I've seen the restaurant at Tomas Morato Branch gazillion times but I have never thought of giving this restaurant a try.  I don't know what's up with me!

Thanks to Pizza Craving on a quiet weeknight, I was adventurous enough so I gave this pizza place a try!  I liked it so much I went back taking along my friends who came back from the States!

Cute plates greeted us!

Taco Pizza
8" Php235.00 (approx $5.60)
13" 545.00 (approx $13.00)
17" 765.00 (approx $18.20)
Out of all the pizzas available in this restaurant, the Taco Pizza sounds like the most unique!  We love Tacos!  And eating tacos in a much more poise-ful manner is definitely a huge plus!  Chili beef, chopped onions, tomatoes, cheese and crunchy lettuce, with the right taste of taco sauce!  It's all perfect ingredients that makes a good taco!  What I love about this pizza?  Super crunchy thin crust!  Best eaten freshly made!

Beef Tapa
Php270.00 (approx $6.40)
With onions, tomatoes, fried egg and french fries.  I know!  Why would I eat Tapa at a pizza place?  Well, i was craving for Beef Tapa then so you can't blame the hungry stomach!  I was quite surprised that the Tapa was cooked quite well.  The first time I tried this dish, it was perfect, the second time, the beef was harder than the usual!

Spareribs
Php385.00 (approx $9.10)
Sweet and spicy sauce on pork ribs served with fried rice, fried egg and tomatoes!  The pork ribs served was really meaty, more meat than bones which we like!  The pork is a bit hard to chew though.

Meat Ravioli
Php275.00 (approx $6.50)
A nice appetizer, the cheese used, I can taste is from Magnolia!  It's not too salty nor bland.  Just right!

Drinks

One huge advise when you dine in this restaurant, cooking time is a bit slow so you have to wait for 10-20 minutes for your food to arrive.  My favorite is their chili sauce!  Be careful not to put a lot of it as it's super spicy!  One to two drops are enough to make your tongue burn!

The restaurant is very quiet and not a lot of customers when we were there!  There were visibly around 2 servers only at that time.  The servers are very helpful and very nice!

Cash and credit cards are accepted.  Service charge included in the bill!  Parking space is ok!  Perfect to have a quiet Pizza get-together with your friends, family or even your other half!

What's the next dish or pizza I should try?

Tech Review: Hisense Mono Headset Mini HB200M

When Hisense Bluetooth was launched a month ago, I wasn't able to attend the launch due to my very hectic schedule!  Thanks to Cecille for sending me one for review!  Who's the best person to review such product?  The person who talks on the phone while driving!  Mr. AMW!

Mr. AMW helped me road tested this as we discussed about the functions of the said Hisense Mono Headset Mini HB200M.  I am amazed when he was talking with a normal voice and I was shouting : "Ha??? Who are you talking to? What??? I don't understand you!"  I kept on blabbling and later did  found out  that he was talking to someone over the phone using this new toy.
What's inside the box

Hisense Mono Headset Mini HB200M says ---
This mono headset is compatible with all brands of Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and other devices supporting the headset or hands-free profile.

Key features
  • High performance sound - clean and clear conversation.
  • Multi-point connection - connect 2 mobile phones at the same time.
  • Auto power off - for conserving battery power.
  • Magnetic Clip Attachment - innovative design, easy wearability on the go.
  • Optional with/without ear hook - personal style, comfort and convenience.
  • Best Personal Fit - interchangeable ear bud options.
Made in China
Available Colors: Silver, Champagne, Red, Green, White, Black

AMW says (with the help of Mr. AMW)  ---

Pros
  • Includes good accessories like necklace (for people who would want to use this).
  • The size is just right, doesn't look too obvious.
  • Good battery life.
  • Clear sound, not choppy at all!
  • Interchangeable ear buds!  I appreciate it that they have smaller sized ear buds as I'm having a hard time with the big ones!
  • Comfortable to be worn on the ear for long period of time.
  • Pairing between the bluetooth and various phones are quite easy!  Tested on Iphone, Blackberry and Nokia phones.
  • Range between the device and the phone can reach up to approximately 2-3 meters.  Which is good enough!
  • Can connect up to 2 phones at one time!
Cons
  • Because of its size, can be easily misplaced!  Especially for guys as they don't use pouches like girls.
  • No bluetooth stereo streaming capability for this model, even MONO would have been good enough!
  • Voice command is not that perfect.
  • If the phone is paired with the bluetooth, you cannot answer the call directly from your phone.
  • No battery life indicator.
Overall
Highly recommended by Mr. AMW especially to those who loves to talk on the phone for hours!  Driving is safer too with this around!
Again, this would be perfect if it has a simple streaming feature!

Tips
  • Carry your charger with you as much as possible just in case it loses its battery life.
  • Blackberry users:  voice control is best out of all the phones tested (as mentioned above).  Lucky you!
  • Iphone users: voice control is also good.  Additional voice control over music playing.
  • Nokia users: voice control is fair.  Only the basic voice control can be done like CALL.
  • Try to keep this close to your phone so you can easily reach out for this anytime you need it.
Will I repurchase?
Maybe, for myself!  But for now, Mr. AMW and myself are sharing.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Busybees who need to talk on the phone for long period of time.  While driving, jogging or at work that demands multi-tasking.  Best if you are on an "Unlimited calls" phone plan, no more hot phone next to the ear or switching your phone from left to right!

Where to purchase and how much?
At Digital Hub, Digital Walker, Astrovision, ROX, Switch, iStudio, Odyssey and Power MAC Center for Php1,950.00 (approx $46.00).

Included are ---
  1. USB AC Charger and USB Charging Cable
  2. Flexible Ear Hook
  3. Necklace
  4. Magnetic Clip
  5. Mini Headset
  6. 3 Ear Bud Sizes and In-ear Bud
I am not a nagger wife but when it comes to using the phone while driving, I turn into an "Angry Bird" as safety is very important to me especially to someone I love!  With the Hisense Mono Headset Mini HB200M, and with Mr. AMW impressed with the said product and found himself using it a lot!  I can breathe a sigh of relief!  If only I can pry him away from texting while driving!  Hisense...is there such voice control? *teeeheee*

Where else would you use a handsfree bluetooth?
I'll probably use this while cooking or doing nail art!

Something New: Beach Hut SPF 100 + New Haircut!

As I was preparing for my bestfriend's Baby Shower, Mr. AMW got back home from work with a box on hand and without looking, I said: "Thanks for the pizza but I'm full!"  Gulay!  I should look before I speak!

I got a box from Beach Hut wanting me to be ready for summer!  I am actually ready for summer but my body will never be!  I'll probably wait until I get old and wrinkly that no one would even care if I go nude on the beach?  *flinch*

Blame it on the box for the "Served fresh, hot and fast!" line, blame it on me for being a PIGGY and for thinking about food any time of the day!

The cute orange box brightened up my "tensed" Saturday afternoon!

Included are Beach Hut Face Ultra-Sensitive Hypoallergenic Sunblock in SPF 65 and Beach Hut Max 100++ SPF.  Together with the two star products are frisbee and waterproof film type camera!  All I need to do is to nudge my friends for a beach party!  I'd love to play frisbee!  The last time I played frisbee was when I was less than 10 years old!  Never thought of playing it again as my cousin hit my head hard with  frisbee and I literally see birds flying on top of my  head!  *laughs*

Two Star Products I am looking forward to try ---

Beach Hut Face Ultra-Sensitive Hypoallergenic Sunblock SPF65
Beach Hut Face is specifically designed for sensitive skin.  It is specially formulated with organic micronized zinc oxide for an ultra mild yet complete sun protection that is proven and tested hypoallergenic.

Beach Hut Max 100 ++ SPF
Unbelievably light lotion sunblock.  It's here!  Experience extreme high SPF protection without the messy and oily feel like other lotion sunblock.  Beach Hut Max 100++ is uber light on skin, quick drying and non-messy.

Anyone who tested this ahead of me can click comment and give me some insights on how it worked for you!  Have you road tested this?  How did it fair with other brands?

On my part, I haven't had the chance to really plan a summer outing yet!  Been very busy lately!  To kick-off my summer, I had a haircut at Tony and Jackey first time at Retiro Branch!  It may look like I haven't done a lot of changes by the look of the photograph below!  But just so you know, I have layered cut so the longest part of my hair can be seen only from the back part.
Front

Back
The hairstylist actually took off more than 3 inches off my hair
Do I like it?  Yes, I love how much lighter my head feels and no more dry ends!
What do you do to kick off summer?

AMW Version: Late St. Patrick's Day Look

Happy Thursday gorgeous people!  Let's share that huge smile to people we meet as it's such a blessing to be able to wake up each morning and spend time with our loved ones!

Yes, you got me!  I'm in the mood, Friday is so near and yet...so far away?  *hahaha*

As I try my best to do as much AMW Version as possible, I did manage to create a darker look (promise, it does look darker in person), I wanted to give this a unique name but it seems like I missed St. Patrick's Day so I'm dedicating this look to countries who celebrated St. Patrick's Day!

Of course, when we talk about St. Patrick's Day, we are speaking the color green!  That  lso includes my mind *teeheee*  Smokey green tutorial can be as easy as 1-2-3...adding 4 and 5 for eyelining! :)  Then I suggest we turn that sentence into a nursery rhyme! :P

AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Instead of using eye primer, I've decided to use The Body Shop Special Edition Kajal Liner in 02 Ever Green as base!  You do not need to apply this evenly as this only serves as a  nice base to make whatever green eyeshadow you use to pop out!

With any flat shader brush or eyeshadow brush, I pat on TBS Eye Colour in 43 Velvet Green on top of the Kajal Liner.

Step 2:
To blend in harsh lines from Step 1, use Milani eyeshadow in Garden Mist, gently blend it on the crease area with a wiper motion until you get a nice "smokey" effect.  You can always re-do step 1 until you reach your desired "smokey effect".

Step 3:
Highlight the brow bone area with Stila eyeshadow in Kitten.

Step 5:
Line the upper lash line with Stila Smudge Pots in Black.
Step 6:
For a nice pop of color, I used Lancome Le Crayon Khol waterproof in Teal on the waterline.  You can choose whatever shade of eyeliner you own for that nice pop of color!
This can even be worn alone!  Very gorgeous shade!

Do not forget the fill in your brows, curl your lashes and apply coats of mascara.  I used L'Oreal Curl Impact Collagen in Black in this tutorial.

Here's the outcome of my Late St. Patrick's Day look.  Would you believe I am too lazy to switch eyeshadow brushes that I used only one brush for all 3 eye shadows in this tutorial.  Do not forget to wipe out excess eyeshadow in between application so the colors won't mix!

Reference:  I used Prestige #104 Shadow Sweep brush

On to the rest of my face, oh!  To some who asked, my hair color is "Light Golden Brown" from box, Revlon Colorsilk!

For the Cheeks
Paul and Joe Cheek Colour 08

For the Lips:
Kiehl's Lip Blam #1 applied while doing eye makeup

Hope you like my smokey green look!

Have a gorgeous day!
