Back to Childhood.. with Minions!

At 36 years old, I am definitely still a child-at-heart!

Upon receiving this box of "happiness", I literally shrieked and surprised both my Husband and Son!  Well, my husband was going-back to his second childhood too upon seeing this box of surprise.

Well you see, he likes to collect Kiddie Meal toys!  He and his sister collected McDonald's Kiddie Meal toys through the years and only when we had Kyle Nash did he actually removed those from display and let his son play with it!  Grimace, Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar, you name it, we got them!  

Obviously, the Minions aren't an exception!  The first time McDonald's offer them for Kiddie Meals, we got a couple (but they aren't complete).  So now that we know they're officially back, the hubby and I were actually discussing on how to collect them one by one --- we actually don't mind ordering Kiddie Meal for the rest of the month!  *laughs*

But God Is good!  A full MINIONS Experience arrived at our doorstep all thanks to McDonald's Philippines for sending all 10 Minions to the AMW household.

Along with Bob, Kevin and Stuart, collecting will always be fun!  Whether you have kids or you call yourself a kid!

Weekend Food Trip at: Tokyo Bubble Tea

Yes, you read that right!  Tokyo Bubble Tea again after so many years!  The last time I blogged about this restaurant was during my surprise Baby Shower organized by my bestie!

2 years after, I'm finally back!  But actually the Baby Shower was at their Wilson, San Juan branch, this time, I'm back at their Timog branch after a busy day of gigs!  With my family of course!

This isn't my first time in the branch but this is a first to have lunch there!  The ambiance is different, well, because for the fact that their air conditioner was not working properly so it wasn't that much of a fun experience that time.  (I hope they are fixed by now).

So it was my decision to go back to this restaurant because I was craving for their Bibimbop!  Yup, the restaurant serves Korean dishes too!  They actually serve quite a huge selection of Asian dishes so there is definitely something for different palettes.

First order of business...soup!

Unboxing: June BDJ Bioderma Box + #EverydayWithHappiness

Happy weekend AMW Friends!  I hope today is not as wet as previous days!  I had a wonderful and fruitful week so I can't help but share my good vibes to everyone!  It helps to really focus on the positive elements of your life because you can definitely attract more good things!

How?  By appreciating all the little things in life!  Like receiving this box of mini Bioderma samples!  Okay, the negative Nikki would probably go: "All small sample sizes? WHAT?"  (Hashtag MEANIE)  But instead, I went ahead and said: "YAY!  I can finally try Bioderma products!"

Truth be told, I was invited for the grand launch of Bioderma products (the distributor is a very good friend, so is the PR person), unfortunately, family always comes first so I declined the invite so I wasn't able to understand it when my fellow Beauty Blogger friends would rave about these well-sought after products!  

So when I received the BDJ June Box, it was a delight for me to be able to try the brand!  And BDJ box girls were kind enough to add a full sized product that I love!  Will tell you more about it after the jump!

Unsung Hero: Mouthwash

When I used to work in an office, I carry with me a toothbrush and toothpaste set and I always brush my teeth after lunch and wherever I'm off to an important meeting.

When I started to work from home several years ago, I forgot about the tooth-brushing habit because I'm too comfortable in my pajamas working in front of the computer at the comfort of my room! 

Thankfully, before I go totally gross and be the type of girl who stays at home with no Hygiene, I actually go out a lot for Blogging Events, Meetings, Workshops and Make up Gigs!  Because I literally face a lot of people on a daily basis, I am forced to take care not only on my physical looks but oral hygiene!  As much as I want to bring toothbrush and toothpaste with me, you all know the situation here in the Philippines, there are washrooms that have non-working faucet which lead me to this question: "How can I brush my teeth?  Shall I just spit the toothpaste and leave with bubbly teeth?"  #yuck !

AMW Reviews: L'Oreal UV Perfect Aqua Essence Advanced Watery Gel

So, it's starting to rain!  But should you skip your sunblock/sunscreen? 
OF COURSE NOT!

And just because you don't see Mr. Sun much, you still have to wear sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful and long UV rays.  As you all know, the harsh sun gives us not only sun burn but also brown spots, pigmentation and yellowish skin tone.   Yes, that's the ugly truth!

But like I said, we are living in the "lucky generation".  We have all these sunblock that feels and looks almost invisible!

I recently tested out the L'Oreal Paris UV Perfect Aqua Essence.  When I took a quick glance at this product packaging, it brought me back to memories!  When I was just starting out with my love for "beauty", I was in deep search for face primers (yes, blame the international blog reading!)  There wasn't any back then so I went on and purchased the L'Oreal UV Perfect Advanced Fluid Face Protector SPF50 because the SA said it can work as a primer (true naman!).  It didn't do a lot on the "primer" department (maybe just a subtle differences lang) but I actually liked using it as a sunscreen because it was in fluid texture, lightweight and non-greasy.

Years after, I was reunited with the UV Perfect line!  Do I love this as much as the first version?
