AMW Cooks: Purefoods Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali

Those who follow me on #AMWIgStories can see that I cook on a daily basis!  Meals that I prepare are always quick and easy-to-do!  Most of the meals I created for the family took 10-15 minutes.  Maybe 30-minute meals on days I have the luxury of time! (Which is seldom by the way!)

Can I share a tiny secret?  I kind of imagine myself to be the Rachael Ray in my own kitchen!

But due to my extremely busy schedule, I either prepare meals in advance (marinate and freeze them) or pick a phone and call our trusty nearby restaurant for food deliveries.

As much as restaurant food is nice to have once in a while, doing it a couple of times is quite tiring for our taste buds so I'm always on a lookout for quick and easy-to-do meals that doesn't taste "instant".

Yes my dear friends, photo below is a meal I've made in less than 30 minutes!

The NEW Purefoods Heat and Eat
Variants: Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali
These 2 variants are amazing because these are my family's favorite and I always order them in restaurants.  As much as I can do both dishes at home, I find that it's taking a bit more time than my usual 10-15 minutes dishes and I'd rather spend quality time bonding with my son over activities.

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water Moist Up Review

I love makeup removal, I immediately remove my makeup whenever I get home and since I came from a Chinese family who are mostly serious about not washing your face when you're tired, Micellar Waters are heaven-sent because I can immediately remove my makeup without water!  (Note: I still wash my face after because I love double cleansing!)

Because of that, Micellar waters are a staple on makeup removal routine.  I have finished up various brands and tried both inexpensive and expensive brands!

Today, I will be sharing a review on one of the most positively-reviewed brand called Biore!  It comes with 2 variants --- Oil Control and Moist Up.  I obviously chose the latter because I have dry skin!

If I may have to add, thank you to BRANDS who make skincare products meant for different skin types!  We LOVE you for that!

Holiday-Shopping AMW Style!

Let me tell you a secret, I may look so organized and always a step ahead --- That's how I look but in reality, I'm a Queen of Last Minute!  With all the tasks and errands I need to do on a daily basis, there will definitely tasks that are left undone until the last minute.

Just like Christmas Shopping, and it has been going on like that EVERY SINGLE YEAR since I became a mom!

On a positive note, it tests my wits when it comes to shopping!  I do have a list, check it twice and shop in between mother/wife/daughter duties!

Last December 24 was the final stretch of my cramming, my yaya was on leave so there wasn't any extra  hand for me (prepare Kyle's things, wash the dishes, etc...).  We went for last minute shopping at SM Makati and I only had an hour to squeeze in shopping for both my family and Mr. AMW's family!  The mall closes earlier than usual (8:00pm) so the shopping trip was even more nerve-wrecking!

Skipping dinner since we had heavy snack, we took our son to a toy store leaving Mr. AMW with him (he's a super hands-on dad too by the way so he can definitely manage), I rushed to SM Department store and completed my list!  I was just looking for a gift just for last one recipient, the mall suddenly closes the doors and we were asked to pay for our merchandise!  The air-conditioner was also turned off so I was literally panicking and sweating (a lot!)  Gulay, what to do?  We had a family gathering that evening!

Which Vitress Variant Should You Go For?

Three years ago, I shared about my thoughts on Vitress Hair Solutions especially the Cuticle Coat (Original) which is inexpensive yet effective!

Fast forward to today, who would've thought the brand, who already made great hair solutions came up with more variants to match EVERY SINGLE Hair needs of Filipina?  (Or women in general?)

When it comes to hair care products, I am really confident in sharing my thoughts on them because I have tried so many brands to date and hey, that's where this Blog started!

AskMeWhats started by answering queries from friends and family and my first few questions was all about Hair Products!

So I was given the chance to try their newest line, of course, I still included the Vitress Cuticle Coat in Classic then went for Vitress Cuticle Coat Heat Protect, Vitress Hair Freshener and Vitress Hair Polish Strengthening.

Which particular variant should you get if you only have to pick ONE?  I personally think all 4 are a MUST since they are all affordable, but just in case there is such thing as only ONE hair care product, here's a quick guide or help from yours truly!

Vitress Cuticle Coat Classic
Php87.00
Made with special serum from a blend of Silicones, Vitress Classic Cuticle Coat wraps and seals each hair strand to protect it from damage and breakage as it gives an instant and intense shine, softness, smoothness, protection, and manageability to the hair.

Kyle's Stride Rite Pick

It was after his successful Christmas Performance at the Greenhills Theater when we've decided to be crazy (in terms of traffic) and travel from San Juan to Makati!  It was a full day just to celebrate Kyle's first performance EVER at a huge theater!

We took him to his favorite Quantum and played his favorites games, he had a cup (or 2) of gelato, he strolled inside National Bookstore and picked his favorite book and the last stop?  We brought him to Stride Rite for his new pair of shoes!

As you all know, it's the Star Wars season so Mr. AMW laid his eyes on this Stride Rite x Star Wars Collection!  These 2 pairs are our top picks.
