My Facial Care Centre Honey Almond Facial Experience

If you check out my previous Blog Posts, there are only a "few" facial services that I've tried.  I try to keep it as minimum as possible because I have sensitive skin and you guys know how difficult it is for my skin to "accept" new products.

But, after a stressful month (May, please be extra good to me!), I realized that my skin was put into test!  Uneven spots are showing like redness on key areas of my face, small pimples are starting to show up from stress and bangs!  And most of all, can you see that uneven spots on my cheek even with makeup on?

I knew in my heart I'm not getting any younger, I need extra help and relaxation as well (a.k.a. Me Time!)  So I did some research on Facial Care Centre's services and decided to have them take care of my skin!

I've read and heard a couple of good reviews from fellow Beauty Blogging Friends --- Angela of LushAngel.com raved about their services so I'm more secured to visit their BGC Branch last week.

I have to admit, I was extremely nervous, especially on one-on-one consultations!  I always felt like it wasn't consultation but more of sales-talk!  But with Facial Care Centre, it is indeed a personal consultation.

The Doctor takes time to listen to your skin issues and when I told her about my fear on peels, she promised me that we will start with something very gentle and safe.  Indeed, they will develop personalized skin care program based on individual's skin concerns --- Thank you for that!

Pinkies Collection Lipstick - My First!

OMG!
I can' believe I'm wearing such shade which used to be my mom's 90's lipstick!  I call this a "mature" lip color and ... "OO NA!" Mature ako but seriously, why am I wearing such shade?

I dislike the shade the moment I saw it on tube.  I dislike it even more when I wore it, but why do I think I look good on photo?

Is it just me?  Or do you think I look fine?

I saw this inside my lipstick basket and I'm not sure how I got it but I think it's from SM Beauty Section!  You know how they cater so many brands I can't keep track!  The Pinkies Collection (PC) - I'm unsure of where they are originated, most probably manufactured in China but I don't mind as long as they pass the QA/QC tests!

Housed in a "MAC-lipstick like" packaging, it has a baby pink logo printed so you'll know it's not MAC! *lol*

Weekend Food Trip at: Bari Uma Jr.

How's your weekend so far?
My son has been feeling extra trying out glasses in an eye store just because --- Mana siya sa akin! hahaha  Ang arte!

But anyway, I love weekends because I get to spend time with my family!  I see to it that no matter how busy my schedule gets, I give extra amount of time for my family, my husband's family then OUR OWN FAMILY!

You can do it naman as long as you manage your time properly!

As always, our way of family bonding will always include FOOD!  As my son visits his favorite Booksale, National Bookstore (in that order), his 3rd schedule would be --- "Restaurant".  And we saw a  new restaurant at the 3rd level of SM San Lazaro called Bari Uma Jr.

Don't ask me about the name, I can NEVER memorize it!  Thankfully they have the restaurant name printed on the bowl! (Cheating ako each time I type the restaurant name!)

Ramen has always been my comfort food of choice!  So, we gotta try them right?

Advance Happy Mother's Day!

Every Mother's Day, I write about either my own mom or my mom-in-law as I look up to them so much as my own "Mom-Hero".

After watching the touching video from Watsons Philippines , I realized that it's time I give myself a space in this blog before Mother's Day because we all deserve a pat on our back for being a selfless mom who gave everything for their special angels!

I may not hear it from my 5-year old son for now, but with his daily hugs, daily "lambing" and just by the way he looks at me, I knew instantly how much my son looks up to me as his WORLD.  I know I'm not a perfect mom, I have a lot of imperfections and for 5 full years as a mom - I knew I am still learning the ropes!  But for my son --- I can see how much he loves and appreciates me with all the hugs and kisses that I get!

That gave me the special energy not even a single multivitamin can give!  So this is an EARLY reminder to all of you that it's time to make your own mom look and feel great!

Here are just some of the few ideas you can do:

  • Give your mom a homemade gift card for a foot and hand massage.  It should be redeemable forever!
  • Put together a special basket filled with beauty and wellness goodies.  My mom loves face masks and nail polishes (that's where I got the nail polish love!).
  • Give her gift cards from her favorite store.  It has been more than 5 years that I've been giving her Watsons Gift Cards.
  • Take her out for a little bonding with her to parks, malls or favorite restaurants.  Watch a movie with her if she's into movies!
There are so many ideas I can share, feel free to share yours here on comment back because I'd love to hear from you!

Advance Happy Mother's Day to all Moms!
You ROCK!

Stay happy!

Ellana Sheer Velvet HD Powder Review

I remember those times when "Mica Powders" are IN!

From the most sought after Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Powder to no-brand that I purchase from online stores in the US --- they arrive in "tubs" by the way and I still have them today!

But truthfully, they all belong inside my professional make up KIT because a long time AMW reader would understand why I don't need them.

I have VERY DRY SKIN and most of the time, Mica Powders dry them out even more and create rough patches!

AMW wears Ellana Sheer Velvet HD Powder

Not until I've tried the Ellana Sheer Velvet HD Powder!  Thankful for the brand for supporting my AMW Workshop Series Last year, they gave each participant their own Sheer Velvet HD Powder and I was able to try one!
