AMW Makeovers: Sisters of the Bride and Groom

Sis Mhean, as I fondly call her, is a Filipina Blogger-friend based in Singapore whom I finally met in person when hubby and I visited Singapore almost 3 years ago!  She does flawless makeup application and she's a professional makeup artist herself!  That's why when she messaged me on Facebook asking me to do her sister's makeup and the rest of her family, I had this huge questioning look: "Why me?" 

I'm touched and happy at the same time for her to trust me on her sister's most important day!  Of course, I said yes!  And it was a wonderful decision because I made new friends and enjoyed this gig so much!  Thank you so much Mhean for the trust and it was great meeting your wonderful family!

Mhean, of course, as a Beauty Blogger, is very experimental with her looks and she is very comfortable with strong eye makeup!  Since it was her sister's special day, she wanted the spotlight to be on her sister and go for a toned-down makeup look instead.  Her wish is my command!  I had a "fresh" makeup peg on top of my head that is perfect for her and I hope she liked it!

I prepped her skin with an oil-control primer and Benefit Porefessional prior to foundation application. I spot conceal some redness around her cheeks and highlighted her undereye area as she was tired from the trip the day before.  I defined her brows with brow powder mixing dark and light brow powders for a natural effect and used browns and beige for her eye makeup.  

I went for bronzer to keep her skin looking healthy and fresh and went for a baby pink lipstick as it is the secret to looking 5 years younger! :D  Not that Mhean looks old but nakakabata talaga ang baby pink lips!

AMW Reports: Marie France's Sexier You Event (I tried i.Lipo!)

I used to be "exercise-crazed"!  You won't believe it when I say I'm in the gym 6 times a week doing both Cardio and Muscle-training workouts!  And it was a minimum of 4 hours a day and sometimes?  On days we can't go to the gym?  Me and my sister go home doing home-exercise videos ranging from Tae Bo, Yoga, Pilates, Kung-Fu, Zumba, MTV The Grind, etc..

We were that "buff'd" in the past and I kinda miss the strong, energized feeling!  

Now, I'm out of shape!  I seriously am!  After getting pregnant and giving birth to Baby AMW, I'm on ZERO exercise.  The only exercise I get for now is running after Baby AMW!  So when I got an invite to Marie France's I.Lipo launch, I had to muster my courage to give this a try as I need all the help I can get to lose that last 5-8 pounds and tighten that jiggly tummy! 

When you visit Marie France, there will always be a consultation first to see which particular treatment would work for you.  To monitor your body and health, a Tanita Body Composition Analyzer was used.  It is a high tech machine to lets you know the total percentage of fat, fat mass, muscle mass, BMI and even Metabolic Age.

Okay, before you judge me, I did say I have ZERO workout now so my body definitely isn't at its' best!

AMW Reviews: Ellana Pressed Mineral Blush Duo (Bunny/Ecstacy)

One pick-me-upper makeup item for me is a blush!  I can literally go from blah to semi-blah *lol*!  Seriously, no matter how stressed I look, a simple step of blush application makes my face appear more vibrant, alive and I actually feel a tad bit better!  So even when staying at home, cooking, taking care of Kyle, I actually apply a pop of color on my cheeks even without foundation!  And sometimes, Mr. AMW would say: "Wow, rosy cheeks ka ha!"  And I just secretly smile!  (Oh no, secret revealed!)

Back to one of the newest Blush Duo I've tried from a local brand that I love Ellana Minerals, it is a pressed mineral blush and it comes with 2 shades!  Bunny and Ecstacy is actually meant for blushing and contouring but of course, you can find many ways to use them!

Weekend Food Trip at: Ramen Nagi, SM MOA

It was late afternoon when we weren't that hungry but wanted to try Ramen Nagi just because there wasn't a lot of people inside....

 

Upon seeing the menu of Ramen Nagi located at SM Mall of Asia, I was ecstatic!  

Some of you may complain that there isn't much choices to choose from!  For the AMW household?  It's wonderful news!  Why?  Hubby and I tend to take such a long time choosing our food and we always like to argue on who needs to do the ordering!  I always ended up doing so as he's very indecisive when it comes to food!  (Sorry sweetie, it is true!)

It was an impossibly quick decision to go for Original King (Butao).  I know Black King (Kuroo) is a food bloggers' favorite but yes, we'll start with the basic.

Just when we thought we only need to sit prettily to wait for our Ramen.  TADAH!  More choices to make!  *rolls eyes* WHYYYyyyyyyyYYY?????

So yeah, we ticked on the basics!  Went for NORMAL on everything!  Yes, for once...let's go normal! *laughs* Pun intended!

I Wonder: How Connected Are You?

Since I recently talked about my first ever Blog Stint as a Vaseline Girl 4 years ago, let me talk about technology back then and how I wish I was THIS connected those times.

We went for a week long Roadtrip at Laoag, Vigan and Baguio and my phone wasn't internet ready back then...heck!  I was using a Nokia phone!  All we have with us is a laptop and a Smart Bro Prepaid Internet. 

It was difficult as we were quite blind on what's happening with our subscription package or account information.  After seeing this commercial, I went..heck!  This should be available 4 years ago, but again, I don't have hi-tech phone back then so all I can say is..lucky you today!

Me, I literally have my phones, ipad, laptop all connected so I'm online 24/7!  Looking back, I can't believe how simple my life was but thinking about it, I may be busier than 5 years ago but I'm happy to be connected to my brother and friends who are overseas via Viber or WhatsAPP!
