Last Thursday, I attended the store relaunch of The Body Shop at SM Mall Of Asia.  The Body Shop is close to my heart for so many reasons ---

• I started Beauty Blogging talking about The Body Shop products because their products are kind to my skin.
• The brand supports advocacies I strongly believe in.
• Their store has testers widely available for you to try and friendly staffs to assist you if you have problem.

And the store looks even better today!  

And this Holiday season is no exception!  With the Christmas filled goodies, all my 5 senses were dancing with joy during my SM MOA store visit.

Welcome to my skincare arsenal - with the NEW Clinique iD!

If you know my skincare journey, you'll know that my blog started with my quest for a good skincare regiment that would work for my dry, very sensitive skin.

It was healed all because of Clinique DDML and Moisture Surge.  I cannot count how many times I've repurchased the said set because it really works.

Weekend Food Trip at: Flatterie and Rita's

Our weekends are pretty simple.  I spend it mostly with the family - Husband's family, My Family and Our Family.

So every minute of the day counts --- we try to make sure Kyle gets to enjoy childhood as much as he can because he's been studying 5 days of the week --- school Mondays to Fridays so we make it a point for him to enjoy over the weekend.

Kyle, just like the parents, live simply...a simple bonding time with Mom and Dad with good food and ice cream (of course!) is his idea of "Best day of my life!"

We love Pound and right beside Pound is a newly opened restaurant (well for us!) named Flatterie located at SM Mall of Asia.  You can order from both menus no matter where you sit.

Innisfree Smart Drawing Color Correcting Review

When Innisfree opened it's first store in Manila, I did not go crazy shopping as I knew the store stays for good!  But, I have a list on top of my head on what to get and one of them is "concealer".

I went ahead to ask the SA to take me to the concealer area and she took me to an area that confuses me a bit, I was given the option to choose from wide array of colors from the Smart Drawing Color Correcting Line.

In this line, there are a total of 18 shades - not all are for concealing and correcting but it also includes strobing, contouring, foundation and blusher.

Okay, I'm sure you'll get overwhelmed as well so don't be afraid to ask questions and talk to the friendly SAs, they are well-trained and they obviously knew what they are talking about.

Now back to my purchase, I picked 01 Apricot Peach because I always conceal my undereye dark circles, peach is a great color correcting shade to lighten up that area.

Weekend Food Trip at: Modern Shanghai, SM MOA

The first I dined at Modern Shanghai Restaurant, I was still pregnant with Kyle!  Imagine that!  That's 5 full years ago!  Then with several Family Occasion, we've visited there around once or twice after.

It has been more than a year since our last return since we seldom have dinner at SM Mall of Asia due to "people traffic".  But thankfully, because of our Staycation at Sofitel Philippine Plaza, we've decided to dine again and see if we missed out anything.

We were so hungry when we arrived and the place wasn't as packed as before.  We immediately ordered the usuals --- Yang Chow Fried Rice, Xiao Long Bao, Garlic Kang Kong, Sweet and Sour Pork and Salt and Pepper Squid.

Everything was great!  They actually maintain the good quality for the past years and I actually liked the dishes more today then ever!

Since the first shoe store in Carriedo, Manila opened by Henry Sy, Sr. in 1958 --- it has been 60 long years!  I was shocked!  I can still remember the first time I stepped in SM Carriedo branch, it was just as simple as a shoe store with some clothing, but that was just it.

Look at how huge SM Supermalls are today!

Holiday Shopping with AMW, our Watsons Wishlist

My language of love has always been gift-giving, you can add a bit of that hugging and holding hands too and a lot of sweet words and crazy jokes!  That's me with my friends and I'm sure a lot of my friends can atest to that!

Weekend Food Trip at: Tenya Tempura Tendon

Aside from Google and online Food Apps, the people I trusted most when it comes to good restaurants are Mr. AMW's colleagues!  They are definitely "foodies at heart" and whenever they rave about something through my husband, I make sure to visit the said restaurant.

One of the most raved restaurant for the season is --- Tenya Tempura Tendon.  The group traveled to Japan, tried the same restaurant there and came back and visited Tenya Tempura Tendon at SM Mall of Asia and gave the seal of approval.  

So I had to schedule our own visit with the family!  And so far, if you want me to keep it short, the experience was good!  What makes this unique?  The sauce that comes with EVERY meal!

Weekend Food Trip at: Dohtonbori, SM MOA

How does it feel to have a Yakiniku Party and eat Okonomiyaki in Manila?
Made me missed Japan even more!
It was my mom's birthday when we celebrated at Dohtonbori.  It was a wonderful decision because we get to eat good food, see how it was made right in front of us (where Kyle enjoyed watching) AND, we get to bond and chat.

The mini party started with 3 Meat Teppanyaki.

This whole platter is actually perfect for a family of 3-5 depending on how hungry you are.  

Weekend Food Trip at: Boon Tong Kee, SM Mall of Asia

Boon Tong Kee, just the name of the restaurant automatically transported me to my Singapore trip a couple of years ago!  

Singapore is known for their Hainanese chicken but would you believe I'm not a fan of it?  *hahaha  So please don't judge me if you don't see a Hainanese chicken post here!  I guess I grew up in a family where we "almost" always have Hainanese chicken on the table (whole one) whenever we have special gatherings!  So I'm not being snob, I'm just maximizing what I don't get to eat when I was younger  *laughs*

Located at SM Mall of Asia (there are several branches opened), we were hungry after Kyle's school so we went for what's fast and available.

Roast Pork Rice Topping

A great dish!  I would go back to order this crunchy Roast Pork (similar to Pork Liempo).

Honey glazed pork but found mostly fats which are okay to some but not to us!  I wish they serve this with more sauce and flavor!

Kipling x Alexandra Levasseur Launch at SM Mall of Asia

I literally grew up with Kipling as the bag brand every student want to own!  Fast forward to today, who would've thought the brand is almost celebrating their 30th's birthday?  With presence in 67 countries around the world!

I was there during their relaunch of Kipling Store at SM Mall of Asia Branch last week.  Looking at the store, I knew Kipling is not just the highschool bag we all want to own!  This season, Kipling comes to you with warm feeling and products with a strong casual style.  The bags aren't just functional, they are more stylish and sleek that is perfect for women of ALL ages.



The event was hosted by Janeena Chan and I also witnessed store Blessing and Ribbon Cutting.  It was such a positive day for both the brand and consumers.

Visit Laneige Pop-Up Store at SM Mall of Asia

Over the weekend, I get to check out Laneige's newest location at SM Mall Of Asia!  It was strategically located at the center near Forever 21 and I couldn't be happier!

The place was filled with natural sunlight, so a perfect place to try out testers and pick the right shade of foundation, powder, blush or lipstick!

 Laneige, is known for their skincare products!  The first Laneige skincare product I tried is their Water Sleeping Pack EX, I've used this all throughout my pregnancy (with doctor's approval) and even repurchased!  This is definitely an answered prayer for girls who want to hydrate their skin without the heavy and greasy feel.

Mr. AMW tells me one of the many reasons why he loves me (note: MANY :P) is how simple I am.  I don't really care about branded stuff and I always have a good eye for affordable yet good quality products!

AMW Reports: Don't Retouch Me, Instablur Me!

If you live in  Metro Manila, you probably shared my sentiments on how crazy it was last week!  I am not wasting the space here to complain about power shortage because I'm glad our family is safe and sound!  And thankfully Baby AMW has been such a wonderful baby we survived 4 days blackout with a small USB fan!   

I'm glad I need to be at SM Mall of Asia last Saturday for a makeup workshop or else, I will be cancelling out on the event from The Body Shop!  I wasn't feeling well that day due to stress and no sleep but God is good, He made sure to find ways to tell me He loves me and He's always looking after me, how?

By telling me I am still beautiful no matter how puffy my eyes look via The Body Shop "Say Yes to Natural Beauty" #noretouchtbsph campaign.

 Let's rewind to the star of that day!  The Instablur Make-Up Primer!  The "primer world" has been hush hush for months and I'm excited something new is here!  What do we expect from the TBS Instablur?

Weekend Food Trip at: Ramen Nagi, SM MOA

It was late afternoon when we weren't that hungry but wanted to try Ramen Nagi just because there wasn't a lot of people inside....

 

Upon seeing the menu of Ramen Nagi located at SM Mall of Asia, I was ecstatic!  

Some of you may complain that there isn't much choices to choose from!  For the AMW household?  It's wonderful news!  Why?  Hubby and I tend to take such a long time choosing our food and we always like to argue on who needs to do the ordering!  I always ended up doing so as he's very indecisive when it comes to food!  (Sorry sweetie, it is true!)

It was an impossibly quick decision to go for Original King (Butao).  I know Black King (Kuroo) is a food bloggers' favorite but yes, we'll start with the basic.

Just when we thought we only need to sit prettily to wait for our Ramen.  TADAH!  More choices to make!  *rolls eyes* WHYYYyyyyyyyYYY?????

So yeah, we ticked on the basics!  Went for NORMAL on everything!  Yes, for once...let's go normal! *laughs* Pun intended!
