Benefit BROWVO! Conditioning Primer Review

Thank God for my "brow genes" because they always look full even without applying much brow products!  BUT, as a make up artist, one challenging "Brow Issues" I always get from clients is: "How to make my brows appear fuller?"  

It was a blessing to make up artists like myself when Benefit came out with Gimme Brow, I have mentioned in this blog, on workshops and in person (to clients) so many times that it is my ultimate faking "full" brows secret!  

BUT, the thing about Gimme Brow is that I can't seem to use it or depend on it for clients who already have full brows BUT sparse on some areas, or maybe, full brows but each brow hair has a mind of their own!  

Benefit's Biggest Brow Collection this year 2016 covers ALL brow issues, and one of my issue was solved!  With the newest Benefit BROWVO! Conditioning Primer!

And adding to my requirements, this is also a Brow Primer, meaning, whatever brow products I put on client will last LONGER!  Double YAY!

My Current Hair Situation

Dry, blah, wild and crazy!

Yes, those are just some of the adjectives to describe my current hair situation!  I've done Balayage  ala Hairshaft-style 2 months ago and because of my extremely busy schedule (Kyle Nash going to preschool and all), I can never sit inside a salon for longer than 2 hours because seriously, who has time for that if you have so much stuff to do?

BUT, on rare days like an event at Podium where Hairshaft is located, I rushed to the extremely busy and packed salon after Watsons Kiss Aging Goodbye event.  Thankfully, they accommodated me even with a full house!  

As much as I'm tempted to have my Balayage refreshed or maybe change a new hair color, I just had to go for what I really need!  A hair treatment (for my parched hair) and another session of Brazilian Blowout because I can literally see some "frizziness" creeping through from my roots!  (Not a good sight guys!)

Now looking back at my most recent Hairshaft visit post, naka-red din pala ako nun!  Why do I have this tendency to wear red everytime I visit the salon?  Must be the excitement?  Or maybe I just want to belong!  (check out their wall in this photo)

That day, Ian was the one who assisted me, he has amazing massage skills!  All my tension knots were gone in an instant after just a few minutes of back massage!  Thanks Ian!

Sheer Cheek Gel For Fair skin!

Two years ago, I reviewed my first Pixi by Petra Sheer Cheek Gel in Flushed!  I mentioned there are a total of 2 shades to choose from and Flushed is actually a nice colored cheek stain that can be used by fair to dark complexion!  They are build-able, easy to apply and feels oh-so-good!

To some, they are still scared to use such shade based from the color on tube so here I am, two years after, ready to share to you the perfect shade for light to medium complexion!

The Pixi by Petra Sheer Cheek Gel in Rosy!

Rosy looks pretty bright on packaging but in reality, upon application, it lives up to its name --- sheer!  With the similar consistency as the Flushed shade, it has a gel-like texture that feels like liquid upon application and finishes off matte on cheeks!  

AskMeMom: Kyle's Baon!

When Kyle started preschool, I have so many issues I have to deal with!

1. Parking space at his preschool.
2. What to do as I wait for him under the sun without good internet signal.  (3 full hours)
3. The snack that I need to prepare for him on a daily basis.  (Di na pwede yung cookies ng cookies sawa na din si Kyle!)

I know I know, these aren't even issues to begin with but if you're a first-time mom, you just to make sure everything is smooth-flowing for your kid! Imagine the excitement when I recently got Lady's Choice sandwich spread in Roast Beef  and Chicken BBQ !  The 2 new variants inspired me to do this!

As you all know, one of the bonding moments I do with Kyle Nash is to have him sit beside me whenever I prepare his food!  I want him to be part of everything I do --- a bonding moment na din between us!

Truth be told, it is a first for him to try both spread, he didn't like it at first but after seeing me and his dad devour both sandwiches, he finally went ahead and had his first real bite!  So far, it was a success!  He liked it!

How to Kiss Aging Goodbye?

One of my ultimate anti-aging secret is to stay happy!  I kow it's easier said than done!  I've had my fair share of problems and challenges, but as I always share to my friends: "Live each day like there's no tomorrow."  That really works.

BUT, as much as staying happy is the key to looking youthful, I can't control mother nature!  It is normal for every human being to "age" due to stress and bad habits!  Unfortunately, laughing too much can also add up to aging!  *sniff* Okay, that's complicated, stay happy but NOT TOO HAPPY!

But instead of controlling my inner happiness, I'd rather do something on the exterior!  How?  By using anti-aging products!  I may have started out late (around 28 or 29?).  But for YOU my dear young readers, it's never too early to start taking care of your skin, body and HAIR (yes!  Hair!) 

 

Thankfully, Watsons (my favorite one-stop beauty store) came up with a campaign that will remind each one of us to start taking care of ourselves as early as 20s with their latest anti-aging campaign --- KISS AGING GOODBYE!
