Weekend Food Trip at: Mom & Tina's Bakery Cafe

My first Mom & Tina's experience was at their original branch but we were so busy with the shoot I didn't get to "shoot before I eat".  Fast-forward to several years after, I've decided to take my family to their QC branch just because I had a good experience dining with them.

It was a great decision to dine there during the Holidays because I felt the Holiday vibe right away upon getting our seat.

The restaurant has a very "homey" vibe which reminded me so much of "Sundays with Grandparents" kinda night!  The bakery also has a nice display of all their cupcakes, cakes and other sweets!

As much as I would love to dive into the dessert portion, we went ahead and decided for our main dishes.

But obviously, I can't say NO to coffee, so I went ahead and tried their bestselling Cafe Latte and so far, it didn't fail!

A funny question usually asked among us Bloggers and friends.

I always answer with a smug on my face and a load of confidence: "Wala eh, Goddess eh!"
But truth is, there is so much in me that meets the eye!  Close friends knew what I've been through and this huge smile on my face you see everyday are a result of pure perseverance, faith in oneself and the Lord!

And I always make it a point to depend on a very "babaw" way to keep myself sane!  Some girls would depend on chocolates, pizza, movie-marathon, etc... I would simply go for a good cup of coffee, sit back, close my eyes and just enjoy the scent before I take my first sip.

And recently, I read about the story of ONE Filipino Barista making a name for himself, Justin Dela Fuente of Costa Coffee Philippines! 

Justin recently bested other baristas from here and abroad in the Southeast Asia and Indian leg of the annual Barista of the Year (BOY) competition by Costa Coffee.  Seeking to find the crème de la crème in coffee-making, Europe’s #1 Coffee Shop challenges all the Costa Coffee baristas in the world to create a signature drink in hopes of winning the Barista of the Year award in London, UK. In January 2017, Justin is set to take a shot at the coveted title as he will proudly represent the whole region of Southeast Asia and India.

 And his inspirational story made me want to share to you guys on how we can learn from him, not just being a world-class barista, but be a world-class person in anything you do!

Highlight for Cheeks?

Yes!  I found it!  Accidentally....

So I was in a Tony Moly store looking for another "blush" to try and to review!  I remembered how much I love Etude House Dreaming Swan Eye and Cheek, I love it so much I kept on searching for similar colored blush to give my cheeks that instant glow!

Then I went ahead and picked the Cheektone Powder From Tony Moly in P01, I've tried other Cheektone shades (Tony Moly Cheektone Power P05), I won't go wrong right?

I was a bit shocked when I came home and applied the Cheektone Powder in P01 on my cheeks without hesitation.  This is definitely way lighter than the Etude House one and the effect is, ahm...different!  It was a let-down at first for me, I thought I made a mistake and just move on!  But knowing me, I always give a "failed product" another try, lo and behold, this is turning out to be my "cheek highlighter"!  If there's such term!  I know there's highlighting products for the face and eyes, but I am claiming this to be a perfect cheek highlighter, because it does highlight my cheek bones!
