AMW Reviews: The Body Shop Instablur Eye Primer

When The Body Shop came up with their All-In-One Instablur, I went: "FINALLY!"
The Body Shop has a lot of good makeup products, from their powder foundation, brow powders, lipsticks and blushes!  Oh, let's not forget their concealers and Lip & Cheek tint.  It is high time they create a good base to help intensify, or prolong the makeup that works for our weather.

Thankfully, their face primer delivers so I'm super ecstatic to see them broadening their Instablur line!  This time for the eyes!

The packaging is almost the same as the All-In-One Instablur but this one is smaller.
Very easy to differentiate the tube for the face and for the eyes.

It comes with a sharp "mouth" making it easy to control the amount of product needed.  This is more hygienic especially for Make-up Artists like me!  But, if we're talking about personal use, we have to admit, the doe-foot applicator is still the best!

The Body Shop says ---
Our first eye primer that works to conceal under eye dark circles, neutralise redness on the eyelid and enhance the vibrancy of eye shadow color.
  • Yellow tint works to neutralize the appearance of dark circles and redness on the eye lid
  • Makes eyes look less tired and more refreshed
  • Use under eye shadow to prolong wear and enhance color vibrancy

Tip for the Day: Big Hair Don't Care

Hi AMW friends!  Happy Humpy Wednesday!  Today, I will be sharing my first "Hairstyle Tutorial" blogpost because I received emails requesting on how I do my "Big hair" when I posted several photos of it on my Instagram account.  You guys know how Non-techie I am so instead of videos, I'm creating photoTorial instead (Photo Tutorial) :P

I'm always in a rush, so trust me when I say, once you get the hang of this, you wont' take more than 5 minutes to create Big Sexy Hair!

You may need the following: (Not everything on photo as I only have 2 hands :P)

AMW Reports: Shu Uemura Rockwell's New Look + Contest

If you pass by Shu Uemura rockwell branch, you'll definitely take a second (or even third) look!  Who wouldn't?  Look at the colorful lights that screams TOKYO!

And before I get all "intriga", thankfully, I was invited for an exclusive walk-through last week to take a peek on what's new and what's happening at the Shu Uemura Flagship store.

Did I mention Shu's new retail concept is inspired by Tokyo?  I did!  And truthfully, the store does remind me of Tokyo for its' vibrant, lively look accompanied by quirky chairs and live-moving screens!  Ahhhh..how I missed Tokyo, I will definitely go back!  If you want some Tokyo Travel tips visit my blog posts HERE.

Now back to the store.
Upon entering the store, I immediately saw different sections to "Play With".

The ShuATELIER
This is the heart of the retail store.  The display area that showcases all of Shu Uemura's make-up products and what I love about this area is that you can easily find and see ALL the products at a glance!

Above the counter, you will also see shuLIVE...
The area were you can watch behind-the-scenes videos and make-up demos of International Artistic Director Kakuyasu Uchiide and the rest of the Shu Elite team.

Happy Skin Zit Zapper Second Skin ZZ Cream Review

And I was joking to my friends about DD, EE, FF creams...look what we have now..the ultimate "double letter" cream --- ZZ!
And this time, I am not joking!  ZZ stands for Zit Zapper which is Happy Skin's version of their ultimate "BB Cream".

I've had this all along since the launch but I recently got the chance to use and test this.  I had to wait for my skin allergies to die down so I can really make sure whatever reactions I get from testing ZZ Zit Zapper Second Skin Cream  stays true.

The moment I learned about ZZ Cream being the Foundation for Acne Prone and Sensitive skin --- I have huge doubts inside my head!  How can a product works for Acne Prone skin and Sensitive skin at the same time?  Well, partners Rissa and Jacqe from Happy Skin are very confident with these so I had to try this out myself!

Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector and Hydro-Plumping Re-texturizing Serum Concentrate

I have always been a fan of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate as it is one product I've tried that instantly brightened my skin overtime!  Read my past reviews HERE and HERE

That was years ago and I guess I got sidetracked with different skincare products to try!  BUT, this year, I was sent Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector to try and I was mum about this because as much as I would love to try this for myself, I never change my skincare routine "abruptly" because of my sensitive skin history!  So I actually brought this along with me on makeup gigs to use on clients!  Just so you know, I value skincare routine so much I inject that on each of my clients!  But of course, I always check with them if they have skin sensitivity to particular brands or ingredients.

One of the most-loved brand that I get positive response from clients is Kiehl's!  I've used the Micro-Blur Skin Perfector serum prior to makeup application and so far, I love the immediate blurring effect it gives.  It may not be as obvious as those Pore Erasing products like that from Benefit POREfessional but this gives a good "headstart" before I start makeup application.

Thanks to my clients' feedbacks, I was told this skin-smoothing formula is lightweight and do not cause them to oil up midday!  Of course, most of the time, I use this on clients only once so I can't tell if this product will help lessen pores in the long run!  I can't try this as I have very dry skin so I have non-existent pores! :)  (yabang no? hahahah)
