Charm Essentials Brushes I Highly Recommend!
I haven't talked about makeup brushes for the longets time! I guess, my brushes collection is complete and I take care of them even after X years, they still work good as new!
But for newbies or even professionals who plan to invest on something inexpensive yet affordable, I always recommend one of my favorite local brand Charm Essentials.
Founded year 2007, the year I started Blogging, I've seen how this brand grew and how I grew with the brand!
(P.S. I am still using the Charm PRO MakeUp Artist Tool Belt as of the moment!)
Rounding up all the Charm Essentials brushes I own, I picked some essentials that I truly think you can look into or invest on because I have been using them for personal use still!

How To: Give Yourself a Subtle Makeover!
You know how it is when you do your makeup on a daily basis and you wished you will look at least a bit different on special days?
Well, you can! And that doesn't entail you to pile on MORE makeup, instead, try to be adventurous and do something different, change a bit of your "usual" makeup routine.
Okay...let me think...I usually like to wear bright lipstick sans eye makeup! So, if I plan to go on a special event or I need to have my photo taken and I wanted to look nice....this is my game plan to change the way I look..in a very subtle manner.
- I normally wear concealer then set with powder. For a change, I'll go for full yet still a natural-looking coverage.
- Instead of the usual thick brows, I'll leave my brows looking natural and soft. No harsh lines there!
- I will wear a bit more eye makeup.
- Instead of the usual dark lips, I'll go for very light colored lipstick!
- I tend to shy away frome xtremely pink colored blush, so I'll use it this time!

How to: Contour for Photography
Happy Monday AMW Friends! I know I've talked a lot of times about contouring in my blog and you're probably wondering why I'm opening this topic up again!
Firstly, contouring will never get old! Secondly, this is a more "intense" contouring because we're talking about "photography makeup".
I remembered during my makeup artistry days, "Makeup For Photography" gets a full day's worth of attention! (Especially black and white photography! I'll get to that topic if you guys wanted that! Please let me know!) And I'm sure at least once in our lives, we need to prettify ourselves to face the camera! And we don't want the "I look so pale in those photos or why can't I see my makeup?"
Here's my version of how I would contour whenever I get to face the camera! (eye makeup not included because I want to focus on contour!)
The basic question is, what is the best contour powder? Sadly, you won't get an answer here because the shade of your contour powder will always depend on your skintone! I can only share you the basic "rules" to note for ---
- Contour powder should ALWAYS be matte.
- Steer clear from bronzers! They are not meant for contouring!
- Try to pick shades that lean on to a "grayish" tint rather than orange.
- If you don't want to think hard, choose your favorite powder foundation shade that is at least 2-3 shades darker (again, remember tip above, should not have orange tone)
- Always test on your skin, not at the back of your hand!
For this particular tutorial, I would love to pick my favorite Happy Skin Feeling Scupltacular Kit,
but, just to prove to you that sometimes, your contour powder can also come from eyeshadows or brow powders, I'm picking up Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Eyeshadow and Eyebrow Quad.
The thing is, most eyebrow powders have non-orange tint making it the perfect contour shade! My favorite contour shade is called "Beloved", it works for fair to medium skin.

AMW Reviews: SOFFIA Opulence All Over Face Brush and Blending Brush
Did you know that each time I deep clean my brushes (a.k.a. wash my brushes with brush soap and water) on a weekend, I have this voice inside my head saying: "These brushes are enough!"
And each time I see a new brush set or brand right in front of me (especially those that are made with high quality), my arms go wide and say: "Come to mama!"

When I attended SampleRoom's Thanksgiving party months ago, one of the many exciting things I found in the SampleRoom Eco bag is a black box with a name SOFFIA printed in Gold. I immediately thought of Sophia Loren right away --- Box pa lang classy na!
Upon opening the box, I felt like there was a spotlight going straight to the 2 brushes with black handle, gold ferrule --- my kind of color combination.

AMW Reviews: Sleek Kajal Eyeliner in Odyssey (Purple)
When we talk about Kajal Liners, I always imagine them as dark colored liners used to create dramatic looks! My very first Kajal Liner is from The Body Shop, and true to what I say, they came in dark shades in which I love to use when I create smoky eye looks!
Though I've used the Kajal Liner several times, I still have a lot left so I don't know how a single individual can finish Kajal Liners! Unless, you wear them 24/7 and 365 days a year? :D
Okay back to Kajal Liners (I seriously tend to blab too much so forgive me :P), my favorite brand Sleek came up with their own Kajal Eyeliner and this time I got the purple shade!
Why in the world do I need a purple Kajal Liner when I can easily pick my purple eyeliner pencil to give an instant color on my water line or lower lash line?
Well, Kajal Eyeliners are unique because they can double up as an eyeshadow base aside from eyeliner. They are creamy enough to be used as an eyeshadow base creating an instant pop to whatever powder shades you have on top!
