Christmas Gift Ideas for Colleagues

Every Christmas season, the company I work for would prepare for Exchange Gift and the fun starts even before the gift-exchanging itself! The fun starts at Creating your own screen name (from Local actors/actresses to cartoon names, etc...) to the whole guessing game of who picked who!

Now that I'm working from home, I'm missing all office gift-giving but that won't stop me from sharing my Christmas gift ideas!  And I'm picking products ranging from Php500.00-Php1,000.00.

For the Kikay Colleague
Ah, the easiest Exchange Gift Recipient in my dictionary!  It takes one to know one --- 'nuff said!  But if you're not Kikay or you're probably a guy who chanced upon this post, well, here are some gift ideas you  may give to your "Kikay" Colleague.

If you see her into eyeliner, purchase the limited edition K-Palette Rose Scented 1Day Tattoo Liner priced at Php795.00!  She'll love this!

If she is into lip products, you may go for ---

AMW Reviews: Rimmel Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tint (Pop of Pink)

I'm on a roll with blush reviews!  I have always been a fan of blush because it gives my pale skin an instant "lift".  Whether I use contouring powder or not, I highly depend on blush to create dimension on my face even casual days.

As soon as I got this product from local reseller Beautycorner.ph  and saw the shade called Pop of Pink, I initially thought: "Not Again!".  As you all know, I may be a fan of "pink ANYTHING" but not when it comes to blush!  Why?  They usually come out too obvious and too fake on my cheeks!  But upon swatching....I had a change of heart.

Rimmel by the way is a UK drugstore brand that has been going around in the blogosphere for quite some time because of it's affordability YET super good reviews!  I haven't tried a lot of Rimmel London products so this actually made me excited!

Rimmel Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tint is housed in a tube almost similar to a lip gloss.

The product description says Lightweight that blends instantly and seamlessly which I knew I had to test it out on our weather.

AMW Reviews: Sleek Full Fat Lash Mascara

When you mention SLEEK Makeup to me, there will always be a bit of "fluttery" stomach as this brand is close to my heart!

Why?  Well, my first SLEEK product was an Eyeshadow Palette which was a "winning" from a blog contest I joined years ago (Thanks Cosmetic Candy)   The palette traveled from the opposite side of the world and the trip was worth it!  From then on, I highly recomend Sleep Eyeshadows as they are highly pigmented and inexpensive.

When Smile brought in Sleek Products, I was ecstatic as I get to try more of Sleek products and so far, they didn't fail my strict taste!  And for the first time, I got their mascara and I gave it a road test immediately!

Will this be the first SLEEK product to fail my high expectations?  Read more...

AMW Version: Happy Heart's Month Look

Happy Wednesday AMW Friends!
Today, as promised, I will be sharing an "AMW Version" post a.k.a. step-by-step makeup tutorial as inspired by the "Heart's Month".  I've created day time and night time Valentine's day look on my last post using L'Oreal Color Riche lipsticks and the night time looks won with a landslide!  I guess you guys are tired seeing me in neutral looks huh? Well, all your wishes are my command!  Thanks for emailing me your requests and I'll try my best to do more looks and more tutorials!

Here's how it looks like when I'm doing the "dramatic" look *lol*

Are you ready for picture-laden tutorial?

Initial Thoughts: Sleek I-Divine Vintage Romance Palette

Sleek Palettes have always been a hit for me!  I mean for it's price, you get 12 beautiful, very pigmented shades in a very "sleek" packaging!  Perfect for traveling and perfect for makeup artist like myself who likes to bring products that do not take up much space on my train case.

Recently, Sleek came up with a palette called Vintage Romance Palette which I find the palette to be so-me!  Well, I'm romantic and soon to be vintage!  *laughs*  February is coming up!  That's my birthday month!

Thanks Smile from Beautycornerph for sending this palette to me as Christmas Gift!  Who doesn't love makeup as gifts?  (except guys, well, okay, also girls who aren't into makeup!)

I immediately swatched the Vintage Romance Palette and played with some of the shades!
As you check out the names of this palette, they include the romantic cities in the world which I find very unique and cute!  Not easy to remember, but still..cute! :D

AMW Reviews: Sleek Kajal Eyeliner in Odyssey (Purple)

When we talk about Kajal Liners, I always imagine them as dark colored liners used to create dramatic looks!  My very first Kajal Liner is from The Body Shop, and true to what I say, they came in dark shades in which I love to use when I create smoky eye looks!

Though I've used the Kajal Liner several times, I still have a lot left so I don't know how a single individual can finish Kajal Liners!  Unless, you wear them 24/7 and 365 days a year? :D

Okay back to Kajal Liners (I seriously tend to blab too much so forgive me :P), my favorite brand Sleek came up with their own Kajal Eyeliner and this time I got the purple shade!

Why in the world do I need a purple Kajal Liner when I can easily pick my purple eyeliner pencil to give an instant color on my water line or lower lash line?

Well, Kajal Eyeliners are unique because they can double up as an eyeshadow base aside from eyeliner.  They are creamy enough to be used as an eyeshadow base creating an instant pop to whatever powder shades you have on top!

AMW Reviews: Koren Zander Pro Brush Soap (Cantaloupe)

Today is Thursday and it's a perfect day to talk about TBT #ThrowbackThursday.  Same as a lot of you, I love watching Beauty Gurus on YouTube!  I am fascinated by how much I learned by just a few clicks on my computer/iPad!  One of my favorite guru is none other than Koren of Enkore!  I find him as one of the smartest Beauty Guru on Youtube and I seriously learn so much from him!  With his limitless ideas, I'm not surprised he finally came up with his own product line!  I'm still rooting for his makeup line but for now, I'm glad he created a Pro Brush Soap with loofah at the backside of the soap!

Why?  Well...deep cleaning my brush is one task I try my best to love!  It is a difficult task especially for a mom like me who don't have enough time to stand in front of the sink for almost an hour cleaning ALL my professional brushes!  As much as I'd love to skip this step, I know I can't as I'm protecting the faces of my clients!

How do I deep clean my brushes?  I make sure to have a sponge with me as swirling the brushes on the palm of your hand is fun for the first 10 brushes but it is a pain on the neck, hand and legs if you go beyond 10!  (Comment YES if you agree!)

Thankfully, Koren Zander created ONE smart bar of brush soap with an attached loofah on the other side!  After using this soap for weeks, I'm ready to share my thoughts on this!

Product spotlight:
Cantaloupe
The soap has the "Enkore" logo

AMW Reviews: Glamcor Hygienic Hand Palette

Good day AMW friends!
Today's review is something for the makeup artist or even for makeup enthusiasts who enjoys mixing their foundations!

You've heard about the Monda Oval Steel Mixing Palette and BeautycornerPH Acrylic Makeup Palette, the 2 palettes mentioned are my perfect partners when I do makeup on clients!  Who would've thought there is something made for fast-paced makeup environment?  (ex. Fashion Shows, Bridal gigs, etc...)

I have to admit, when I'm in a hurry, I tend to use the back of my hand as I do not have time to clean my palettes with alcohol!  Thankfully, there's a hygienic way in doing so!

The Glamcor Hygienic Hand Palette
I can literally hear fellow MUAs rejoicing!

AMW Reviews: Sleek Gloss Me and Matte Me

Hi AMW Friends!  Are you enjoying the week so far?  I hope so!
Today, I am so excited to share to you a review of 2 unique glosses that I received from Smile of Updated Trends.  Seriously, how many lipglosses can a girl have?  Unlimited?

Not for me, I'm really not a fan of gloss, I don't know why but I find them too....sheer?  And they seldom last on me especially when I take a sip or 2 of my favorite drink!  (I'm sure you know by now that my drink of choice is Coffee!) :P

Sleek Makeup, an inexpensive, yet good quality makeup brand came up with 2 types of lipglosses called Gloss Me and Matte Me.  The name sounds so cute right?

Check out if the product itself will entice me!

Something New: BeautyCornerPH Acrylic Make Up Palette

Fellow Make Up Artists and beauty junkies out there?  Once in our life, we've probably used a CD or CD case in mixing our liquid foundation or any cream based products am I right?

If not, well, I guess I'm referring to myself!  I went from CD to a clear plastic CD case.  But once I got into professional make up artistry, I told myself I have to look professional as well!  My first ever super professional looking mixing palette is the Monda Oval Steel Mixing Palette which is still very much alive up until this moment.  No complaints!

As for readers out there, I'm sure you're still looking for alternatives, probably non-stainless steel and more handy!  Well guess what?  There are choices out there and this one is from Beauty CornerPH.

Cute Bee NOT included!  *laughs*
