AMW Version: "Almost Matte" Look

Happy Monday!  I haven't been doing any AMW Version looks recently as I have been going through tough times!  Tough times isn't over but life has to go on and I have to move on and do the stuffs that makes me happy!

I haven't been doing any vibrant colored makeup lately, so I'm inspired to do one and I picked up the eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents.  Here's what I came up with....

AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Using a flat shader brush, pat on the matte purple eyeshadow from the CS 78pcs Makeup Palette.  Pat it all over the lid area going a little bit above the crease area.  Add as desired.
Do not forget to apply the same shade on the lower lash line.

Step 2:
Using a crease brush, apply the outer v area with a dark bluish purple shade and blend.

Step 3:
Using a bigger blending brush, blend all the shades with a dark brown eyeshadow.  Reapply as needed.

Step 4:
Highlight the browbone area and inner corner of the eye with a white eyeshadow.

Step 5:
Line the upper lashline and lower lashline with Coastal Scents' Gel Liner in True Black using CS Bent Liner.

Apply 2 coats of your favorite mascara
after curling the lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

Do not forget to fill in your brows
with your favorite pencil liner
or eyebrow powder

Weekend Food Tripping at: Sushi-Ya

Happy weekend food tripping everyone!  I am seriously busy with a lot of stuffs but I certainly do not forget to STOP, REST and EAT.  Dining and spending quality time with my husband is priceless, whatever anxiety or concerns I may be feeling can be temporarily put on hold.

This weekend's food tripping is all about affordable Japanese Restaurant.  There's always Teriyaki Boy, SumosamKarate Kid , Jipan & Sakura and Ajisen Ramen.  Those are a few of those affordable Japanese Restaurant I've tried. And the list will go on and on....

Sushi-Ya Restaurant has been around and visible for quite some time but I didn't take time to really stop and look at their menu!  I don't know why but I've always thought this restaurant is pricey!  As you all know, I'm a bit allergic to overly expensive stuffs!  Over the weekend, we were craving for something that warms the tummy, something filling as I have been stressing out on a lot of stuffs and I seriously needed a full meal! :)

You want to know how the insides look?  A simple baby pink fabric is used for the inside the complement the outer fabric.  The fabric used isn't too hard nor flimsy.  Obviously made with quality in mind!

AMW Reviews: Elianto Aqua Shadow

Happy Friday the 13th!  The day could sound eerie to some but I like Friday!  I will be reviewing a cute liquid eyeshadow which I got from sweet blogger friend!  She sent me these together with other gifts for my birthday last February!

Elianto Aqua Shadow says ---

Shimmery liquid eye shadow. Long lasting, and natural.
Brush on with Tip applicator above eye lids for shinny make up look.

AMW says ---

Pros
  • very vibrant and shimmery shades
  • inexpensive
  • dries quickly
  • great to use as eyeshadow base to make the e/s more vibrant
  • cute packaging and can easily see the shades

Cons
  • if lids are oily , can crease up
  • quite difficult to blend because it dries pretty quickly
  • hate shimmery shadows?  Leave this!
  • not hygienic to use for others
  • you can't use everything as it tends to dry up before you finish this up
  • packaging is cute but you can't stand it up (for people who wants this standing up)

Overall

The Elianto Aqua Shadows have been around for quite some time, I haven't given them much time of the day because the shades are quite vibrant and I don't use much vibrant eyeshadow especially at work.  Thanks to Dustbunny I was able to try this and share my opinion on this for others who are planning to purchase this.

Overall, the Elianto Aqua Shadow is a liquid base eyeshadow that finish up as powder, application isn't hard with the applicator that comes with it, I find the packaging is cute but impractical because I find the shape a bit difficult to store in a traincase, I wanted this to stand upright during application, and I want to reach out all the product with the wand!  And of course, this is not Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) so there's no surgery needed for this packaging.  (Dangerous and not worth it!)

Who needs this?  YOU, who are into vibrant eyeshadows.  YOU, who owns a couple of colored eyshadows that doesn't come out nice!  This is an ok product, not fantabulous and not bad either!  This is actually a great 'addition' for makeup this.

Tips
  •  if you plan to use this for other people, make sure to use a brush instead of the applicator included for hygienic purposes
  • shade well prior to usage
  • dot the aqua eyeshadow quickly on the lids then blend with fingers
  • use your ring finger to blend gently!  Do not tug your lids
  • close the cap tightly to prevent the product for drying up
Will I repurchase?

For their full retail price?  No.  If they're on sale...like right at the moment...yes!

Where to purchase and how much?

At Elianto stores or counters for Php169.00 (approx $3.70) but guess what?  They are on sale NOW for Php95.00 (approx $2.00) at SM malls

Here's a swatch for the pink and blue

I Wonder: "What 's Your Favorite Brow Brush?"

My first brush set ever, was a 7 pieces brush set from G-Lish, a local brand!  I wasn't able to blog about it because I have given away probably 5 out of 7 of the brushes!  Why did I gave it away?  It's not because I don't like it, actually I love them so much I gave it away to my friends to appreciate the beauty of brushes for makeup application!

Though I own a couple of brushes at present and can easily give away the old ones, there's one brush from the 7pcs collection that I just can't seem to let go!  It's the G-Lish Angled Eyeliner Brush!  And the funny thing is, I don't use this for eyelining!  I use this to fill in my brows!

After more than 3years, the short handled travel eyeliner brush still looks great!  I've owned a couple of eyeliner brushes but nothing seems to compare to this one!  I heart....

My set came in with a black pouch and the handles are black in color.  At present, I believe they don't have the exact brushes available, I've seen a "white" version around for the same price of Php550.00 (Approx $12.00).

A closer look on the G-lish eyeliner brush.  The hair is firm enough and has very minimal flyaway after gazillion times of cleansing!  This brush works great to fill in my brows using brow powders!  I don't use this for eyelining, I find the brush tip a bit too thick for my taste!

You can check out my tip on drawing my own eyebrows last year by smiling and clicking HERE, you can already see me including this brush!

Now, I've shared my ultimate Eyebrow Filling Brush!
I Wonder: "What's Your Favorite Eyebrow Brush?"

Or you don't even need one?
Let's enjoy the fun of sharing!
