AMW Version: Late St. Patrick's Day Look

Happy Thursday gorgeous people!  Let's share that huge smile to people we meet as it's such a blessing to be able to wake up each morning and spend time with our loved ones!

Yes, you got me!  I'm in the mood, Friday is so near and yet...so far away?  *hahaha*

As I try my best to do as much AMW Version as possible, I did manage to create a darker look (promise, it does look darker in person), I wanted to give this a unique name but it seems like I missed St. Patrick's Day so I'm dedicating this look to countries who celebrated St. Patrick's Day!

Of course, when we talk about St. Patrick's Day, we are speaking the color green!  That  lso includes my mind *teeheee*  Smokey green tutorial can be as easy as 1-2-3...adding 4 and 5 for eyelining! :)  Then I suggest we turn that sentence into a nursery rhyme! :P

AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Instead of using eye primer, I've decided to use The Body Shop Special Edition Kajal Liner in 02 Ever Green as base!  You do not need to apply this evenly as this only serves as a  nice base to make whatever green eyeshadow you use to pop out!

With any flat shader brush or eyeshadow brush, I pat on TBS Eye Colour in 43 Velvet Green on top of the Kajal Liner.

Step 2:
To blend in harsh lines from Step 1, use Milani eyeshadow in Garden Mist, gently blend it on the crease area with a wiper motion until you get a nice "smokey" effect.  You can always re-do step 1 until you reach your desired "smokey effect".

Step 3:
Highlight the brow bone area with Stila eyeshadow in Kitten.

Step 5:
Line the upper lash line with Stila Smudge Pots in Black.
Step 6:
For a nice pop of color, I used Lancome Le Crayon Khol waterproof in Teal on the waterline.  You can choose whatever shade of eyeliner you own for that nice pop of color!
This can even be worn alone!  Very gorgeous shade!

Do not forget the fill in your brows, curl your lashes and apply coats of mascara.  I used L'Oreal Curl Impact Collagen in Black in this tutorial.

Here's the outcome of my Late St. Patrick's Day look.  Would you believe I am too lazy to switch eyeshadow brushes that I used only one brush for all 3 eye shadows in this tutorial.  Do not forget to wipe out excess eyeshadow in between application so the colors won't mix!

Reference:  I used Prestige #104 Shadow Sweep brush

On to the rest of my face, oh!  To some who asked, my hair color is "Light Golden Brown" from box, Revlon Colorsilk!

For the Cheeks
Paul and Joe Cheek Colour 08

For the Lips:
Kiehl's Lip Blam #1 applied while doing eye makeup

Hope you like my smokey green look!

Have a gorgeous day!

AMW Version: "Subtle Barbie Pink" Look

Humpy Wednesday!  Finally, my second look for the year!  That sounds pathetic! *laughs* Anyways, I promised a look inspired by My Favorite Frosted Pink Lipstick and many of you cannot sport "Smokey Eye" makeup especially during the daytime!  I wouldn't too!  So I've decided to play around with the lipstick and create a simpler look perfect for girls who loves the safer side...

Subtle Barbie Pink Eyes

I'm getting better with these diagrams right?
(Pat my back please, lol)

Before I go to step 1, I always fill in my brows with my favorite eyebrow pencil.  I am almost done with my Paul & Joe Eyebrow Pencil no. 4.  I primed my eyes with Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer.

Step 1:
Using a flat shader brush, in my case, it's the Leow Cornell 3/8 Maxine Mop brush , apply NYX  Dolly Pink with a patting motion on the crease area going a tiny bit above.

Step 2:
To create a depth to my small eyes, I've used Dollface's 88 Pcs. Earth Color Palette (right most part 3rd to the last) or any matte medium brown eyeshadow color with a large blending brush.  Wiper motion is recommended and blend all harsh lines.

Step 3:
With the same palette, use a smaller crease brush with pointed tip or even without, to grab a darker shade of brown (rightmost part second from the bottom), apply the color on the outer V and open your eyes to check once in awhile to make sure the color blends well.

Step 4:
With a liquid liner, or cream liner, apply above and below the lashline.  In this tutorial, I am using Coastal Scents gel liner in True Black (which is drying up by the way as it has been a year with me).

Step 5:
To create a dimension of different shade, I've applied Maybelline's Vivid and Smooth Liner in Purple on the waterline.

Ok, seriously this is a bit brighter in person! hahahaha But you get the drift!  I forgot to include the photo but I've added a white shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corners of my eyes for that bright, awake look!

Curled my lashes with Elizabeth Arden's Lash curler (thanks Gracie for this) and my L'Oreal Mascara in Black.  You can use falsies but since this is a simple day look, I prefer to love my puny lashes!

Subtle Pink perfect for daytime

What's on the rest of my face aside from....
ahmm...my face?  *hahaha*

For the Face:
The New Revlon's Photoready Compact Makeup
in Natural Beige using compact sponge
Set with Shu Uemura Loose Powder
with Charm Mini Kabuki Brush

For the Cheeks:
Revlon Matte Blush in Barely Buff

For the Lips:
Making sure my lips were prepped with lip balm prior to eyeshadow application, blot lips with tissue and apply Revlon's Just Bitten Lipstain, after dry, apply NYX Acapulco Lipstick.  I did the extra step of Just Bitten Lipstain as my original lip color is quite pigmented, I want the "frosted pink" to show up even more.

And I prefer a non-pink outfit to give a nice contrast on your Subtle Barbie Pink look

And who says you can't be childish as you grow older?
*looks around*
NO ONE! :P
(this happens just once in this AMW Blog
I can't promise outside the blogosphere though)

Are you ok to sport such a "girly" look?
I definitely can!

Stay happy!

AMW Revisits: Coastal Scents Bent liner Brush

I've reviewed Coastal Scents White Angled Liner Brush early this year!  I had this brush for more than 10 months and it's time for me to do a revisit.  It's not on a happy note...take a look at this...

And this was how the brush originally looked like

I still use it at the moment if I want to create a thicker line!  I am actually patient and tried to make this work and extend this life, but I have a feeling I will let this brush retire soon!  It doesn't hurt me much because this brush costs only $2.19!  Well of course, shipping isn't included but it's ok!  Nothing to lose sleep about!

Do you own a CS White Angled Liner Brush?
Is it still okay or do you also need to use a flat iron to iron the flyaways?

Work Look 3: "Healthy Glow" Look

Happy Monday people of the world! :) I will start the week with my 3rd version of a work look. "Healthy Glow" look, no matter how gloomy the weather could be, it doesn't give us the reason to look gloomy! There's always ways for us to exude a healthy "glow" in us.

Hope you like this! And let's all start the week right :)

AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Prior to e/s application, apply your preferred e/s base. I am using Benefit's Lemon Aid. Using a flat shader brush, I pat on NYX's Yellow Marigold on the crease area going a bit beyond the crease.

Step 2:
On the same area you pat on the NYX's Yellow Marigold, pat on NYX's Chrome e/s in Gold using a patting motion to create shimmery lids everytime you blink.

Step 3:
Using any blending brush, apply Prestige's e/s in the 2nd color on photo or any "goldish" e/s tone on the outer v area to create depth. Re-apply if needed to reach desired shade.

Step 4:
Line the uppper and lower lashline with Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Bourbon and use any eyelining brush to smudge the liner well.

Fill in your brows with your eyebrow powder/pencil
I am using P&J eyebrow pencil no. 2
Applied 2 coats of mascara using
Clinique's High Impact Mascara in Black

Here's how your work look no. 3 :)

How do I create overall healthy glow for the face?

For the face:
P&J Creamy Foundation no. 30
using foundation brush

Set my foundation with MAC's Select Sheer
in NC15

For the Cheeks:
Apply Stila Illuminating Bronzer
on the apples of cheeks

Eyeko 5-1 as highlighter
using Devi Blush Brush

For the Lips:
NYX Round Lipstick
in Herades

Curl your hair and smile!
You're living in a tropical island!
