ARTDECO Lip Brilliance Gives Me Intense Color and Shine!

Happy Wednesday AMW Friends!  What's your current lip color?
Today, I will be sharing a new found lipgloss that is packed with shine and COLOR!  Yes, I'm talking about a GLOSS not a STICK!

It is from ARTDECO called Lip Brilliance in shade number 03.  There's no name for this particular line of lipglosses but I would like to call this Intense Orange Red!

You all know how I'm not into glosss, I would pick a lipstick or lip crayon anytime of the day even though you would probably shake your head and say: "Come on Nikki, with your dry lips situation, a gloss is the answer!"

How To: Give Yourself a Subtle Makeover!

You know how it is when you do your makeup on a daily basis and you wished you will look at least a bit different on special days?

Well, you can!  And that doesn't entail you to pile on MORE makeup, instead, try to be adventurous and do something different, change a bit of your "usual" makeup routine.

Okay...let me think...I usually like to wear bright lipstick sans eye makeup!  So, if I plan to go on a special event or I need to have my photo taken and I wanted to look nice....this is my game plan to change the way I look..in a very subtle manner.

  1.  I normally wear concealer then set with powder.  For a change, I'll go for full yet still a natural-looking coverage.
  2. Instead of the usual thick brows, I'll leave my brows looking natural and soft.  No harsh lines there!
  3. I will wear a bit more eye makeup.
  4. Instead of the usual dark lips, I'll go for very light colored lipstick!
  5. I tend to shy away frome xtremely pink colored blush, so I'll use it this time!
But please..don't ask me to remove the highlighting part..it is my favorite! Just give it to me okay? :P

How To: Wear Pastel Makeup (and not look like a trying-hard-teenager)

If you are reading this post, the title probably caught your attention! :P
Before you go pointing fingers at me saying I'm trying so hard to look young, well, I'm not! :)  I just have a pastel colored eye shadows that I haven't touched and it's high time I use it and share to my readers who may be a bit beyond 30s (like me...ahem!  Okay, I'm waay beyond 30) and would like to know how to use pastel colored eye shadow without looking like a trying-hard full-blown adult woman trying hard to look like a teenager!

I hope not me! :P

First off...when you plan to wear pastel-colored eye shadow, it is very important to keep the rest of your face clean yet very simple!  Thus, I highly recommend to skip that full coverage foundation and let your skin breathe!  I opted for just a moisturizer, spot conceal key areas like my under eye circles, some redness around my nose and cheeks and set with a powder.

How To: Special Events Make Up

Hi AMW Friends!  This post will be full of AMW photos so please bear with me!  As much as I would love to lessen the products I used, well, for the first time in AMW history, I think I used more than 10 products!  Well, forgive me for such tedious tutorial because I was requested to do a Special Events Make Up and when it comes to special events, we do need a lot of help to make us look like the better version of ourselves!  Right?

Well, before I proceed with my make up "photo-torial", I want to say, today is my Mom's birthday!!!  And I am feeling generous today by awarding my top commenter "rhaindropz"!  You can see her name popping on my top commenter list on the right hand side!  So Rhaindropz, if you are reading this, comment below and tell me you won together with your full name and mailing address!  I'll message you personally on what I will send you!  It's worth it I promise you!

Now back to the tutorial....here's my version of Special Events Make Up!

And if you find something different with my photo, well, you are right!  I am finally wearing contacts after so many years!  (Posts HERE and HERE)

And I'm loving the new contact lens brand I'm wearing  because it looks way more natural than the Korean Lenses I've tried!
AMW Wore: Air Optix Lens in Sterling Gray
Initial thoughts: Feels very comfortable to wear and I definitely love the effect of Sterling Gray on me!  I can't wait to try out  more colors!

If like me, you plan to wear contact lens, please wear them before you do your make up!

Eye Make Up Tutorial for Droopy Eyes

Happy Tuesday!
I am finally here to share to you my next Photo-torial look!  An eye makeup look that would work really well if you have droopy eyes!  Of course, even if you don't, you can still rock this look!

Thankfully, I can really relate on this because I do have "slight" droopy eyes!  So on days I want to create some "lift", I do this trick!  Of course, feel free to use different eyeshadow shades depending on your mood!  Well, my mood is on the Romantic side so I whipped out my Sleek Make up I-Divine Vintage Romance Palette.

And here's the look I created just for YOU :D

Eye Make Up Tutorial for Droopy Eyes

As much as you and I are both tempted to do our foundation routine, skip this step as the eye make up application could be a bit messy!  So let's jump on using a cream shadow to make the eyeshadow shades appear more vibrant and long lasting.

For this tutorial, I used Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 in shade 55 Inked in Pink.

ArtDeco's Fashion Colors Spring/Summer 2015 Emilio De La Morena

A couple of days ago, I get to meet and chat with ArtDeco's Chief Make Up Artist Macedonio Bezerra.  He flew all the way to the Philippines (for the first time) for the launch of Artdeco's Fashion Colors Spring/Summer 2015 Emilio de la Morena collection.

Mace was born and raised in Brazil, landed in the makeup industry at the age of 20 for a Brazilian Brand O Boticario.  Yes, this guy is from Brazil and that explains his charisma and cheerful vibe!

What I Wore at GirlStuff Elite Bloggers' Collection Launch and as a Host

Hi AMW friends!
Remember when I posted on IG that I'm doing my makeup inside the car? Well, it was a very busy day last March 30, 2015!  It was the launch of my nail polish shade from my favorite brand of safe polish called Girl Stuff and the shade is called AskMeWhats (Read about the event HERE).

Aside from me being busy as a "guest" on that day's event, I am also the host and semi-organizer of that said event!

Can you imagine just how busy that day was for me?  SUPER!

My game plan?  Well, I originally do not want to wear the dress I plan to wear on the event but I don't want to bring so many stuff with me and I'm really not sure if there's a good changing area at the event's place so I opted to go out with a lilac colored dress, Havaianas Flats and tied my hair in a tight bun make-up free as I drove myself to Fort Bonifacio.

Upon arriving the event area and parked my car, I sat inside the car and did my makeup!  It took me less than 10 minutes so everything was okay!

P.S. Give me a hand as I got the chance to take selfie pa! :P

No Filter as sunlight is definitely the best natural filter in the world!

How To: My Birthday Look

Hi AMW Friends!  Before the 28th!  I changed my Facebook Profile picture and actually posed for my Birthday Look with my Birthday Makeup!

Here it is!  The first photo using a toned down lip color for day time while the right side is obviously meant for Party!  YAY!

If you are interested, I've finally created a photo-torial for this look!

Step 1: Foundation
Since I wanted a dewy finish, I chose a hydrating foundation from L'Oreal called L'Oreal Lucent Magique Light-Infusing Foundation in shade N7 blending using my damp Nippon Pro Blend Sponge.

Lipstick of the Day: ARTDECO Art Couture Pearl Lipstick in 366

My first ever ARTDECO lipstick posted in this blog (AskMeWhats).
So yeah, I had to make this special!  Let's do a creative shot :P

This lipstick was left in my "lipstick bin" unsure if I'll be using this for myself or for my clients!  But the Christmas season is here and parties are everywhere!  And most of the time, we were asked to wear red lipstick, or if not, I am requiring myself to wear one because that's the only part of my face I can go overboard because I don't want heavy eye and face makeup with my active toddler around!

AMW Reports: ARTDECO Jungle Fever Collection Launch

I haven't visited an ARTDECO booth for the longest time!  The last was when I purchased their Eyeshadow Primer as a gift to my Blogger friend from abroad.

When I got an invite to take a peek on their newest collection called the Jungle Fever, I immediately said yes because I have always been a fan of anything that has to do with "bronzing".  Quick tip to my fellow makeup enthusiasts!  Bronzing powders are instant "Goddess" to all of us!  I have discovered how much I love bronzers when I gave birth and stayed at home for a year and I look almost pale and ....ahmm..lifeless!  *laughs*  So yeah, there must be something exciting from the brand and indeed, I wasn't wrong..I'm never wrong!  *bwahahaha*

The event was held at The Glass Door and upon arrival, the collection grabbed my attention right away!  With prints of exotic flowers and wild animals, ARTDECO didn't call this a Jungle Fever collection for nothing!

But before I talk further about the makeup included in this collection, I eyed a canvass with a sketch of a portrait.  My fellow Bloggers and I were joking around on how much we would like to leave the room because we definitely aren't ready to showcase our artistic side...because we feel like..there's NONE at the moment!
