Clinique Moisture Surge is dear to me…. I’ve finished a them in a flash since 2008 

For a product that helped my dry skin, this product became a staple for me no matter how much skincare products I’ve tried and tested.  I personally LOVE to use this as a “mask”, a mask I apply thickly on a weekly bases on top of my moisturized skin before I sleep!  

This is also my choice of moisturizer on summer days because of its’ lightweight texture and easily gets absorbed into skin properies.

And the Hydrator I love had another makeover this 2021 —- from 72HR to 100HR!  And the best part, they finally advertised this as an overall hydrator - can be used on skin, hair and nails!  FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT!  I have been using this to treat my dry heels and cuticles for a looong time!

So I am currently using this upgraded version!  TBH, there’s ONLY a slight difference but for a super long time user like myself, I can see how much more lightweight this moisturizer is, more watery and gets absorbed into skin better than the original - I can’t believe there’s such tiny difference but there is!

Bringing you a big smile to start the week!  It was a restful (uhm. Not so) weekend!  I was busy watching random Korean Variety shows until wee hours of the night!  Ahhh the joy of motherhood!  You find solace at night when your kid is sleeping!  Hahaha Can anyone relate?

This is really peach and would appear bright if you have light colored lips!  My lips are originall pigmented so it turned out a bit deep!  I prefer to use this as base if I want gradient lips, I can wear this on its’ own and I like the youthful vibe it gives.

FIB EATS: Mango Sago

 

How many times have you craved for something so difficult to find during quarantine and you ended up making it yourself?

SO MANY TIMES.

One of them are Mango Sago!  I have been craving for them - yes, you can ask my husband - he rushed to my room and said: “MAY MANGO SAGO KA!” When he saw the FIB Mango Sago package!

When I posted about this on my stories, a lot asked right away - is this the same as Chinese restaurant? 

NO.  The Chinese restaurant version is more watery and can somewhat pass up as a drink/dessert.  While tthe FIB Eats Mango Sago is a DESSERT…a creamy dessert.  Imagine the texture of the Buko Pandan you like?  Same as this - minus the NIYOG - which made it much better kasi parang hindi bagay ang niyog sa Mangoes?  —- Just my opinion!

For the price of Php350.00 I would say this is worth it!  I was able to share this to my in-laws and still eat to my heart’s content.

You get real mango, chewy tapioca, gelatin and a whole lot more!  Basta you will get full and satisfied!  The mangoes though are a bit sour for this batch, I am sure that you get it differently depending on the mangos!  We can’t judge the seller for this, you know how mangoes are!

Hairstyle Tutorial: Upstyling a Ponytail

I have been invited for E-wedding this year twice!  I can see people are slowly getting back to their lives continuing happy celebrations like Weddings.  

If you attend a wedding online, you would at least pucker-up and fix your hair for that nice photos to share to the bride and groom right?  I KNOW I WOULD!

Hiring a makeup artist and hairstylist is a no-no in times like this!  Not unless you are vaccinated and assured of your safety, you need to spend money and I don’t think it is needed unless you have tons of cash to spare! :D. Please send me some if you have overflowing cash!  *LOL*

So here’s a simple ponytail that looks decent and really nice for wedding guests!  If you are a bridesmaid or Bride and wanted to do this, feel free to curl your ponytail!   

The key to this hairstyle are the lovely clips which I bought online few years back!  There are a lot of good and inexpensive ones on both Lazada and Shopee.

I remembered wanting/trying to get my hands on Kat Von D products but I just don’t have the means beause I don’t like to order online anymore as I need to pick them up at local post offices.

Turkish Finds Lambskin Leather Bag (Burnt Sienna)

 

Hello everyone!  Ahh, I have found a super nice leather bag for 2021!  I haven’t shopped any clothing, footwear, bags since the start of 2021.  I mean look!  Where do I usually go?  I can count using my fingers the times I go out and it’s all visit to my parent’s Home.  Ahhh how much I missed them!

But before you go…why would you dress up going to your parents home?  Well, I always do!  Not in a fashionable way —- in my own personal style + FACE MASK!

I love the mom jeans I bought online and the knitted sleeveless top!  I honestly wear them at HOME!  So yes, it was like me wearing home clothes outside!  Why do I dress up even at home?  

Online work!  I have a couple of Zoom meetings or calls every now and then and I want to make sure that I look “ready” and “professional” when the caller would suddenly request for Video Calls.  They usually do not require video calls but out of respect, I guess that is a TEACHER IN ME, I wanted the person to see my facial expressions, my face, just to let them know how important they are to me for me to at least look half decent and meet them eye to eye! :D

 

That’s just my 2 cents.  

My parents and brother had COVID scare so I stopped going there for 2 months.   After testing negative in the Swab test, I finally gave myself a go to visit them once again and look at my excited face behind the mask!

Whenever I am out, I tend not to eat and drink so I make sure I have enough snacks inside my bag whenever I go back to my car and eat while I drive —- well not literally WHITE DRIVING but in between traffic and long stops! (P.S. You only do that when you are very much aware of your driving, if you can’t multi-task, please do not FOLLOW ME!  I have ulcer/GERD so I need to eat every now and then!)

The bag comes in SEVERAL Colors, and I finally decided to go for the shade Burnt Sienna for it’s unique color and texture.  It has a “torched leather” kind of feel to it so this won my heart.

For fun I recently got a package from Secondate Beauty and decided to create a BUTTER-inspired makeup using the Secondate Beauty Instapeach Eyeshadow Palette.  

So I ended up with this look! What do you think?

I also got some safety merch from KORMNL.  The face mask container is the bomb! I super love it and it comes with yellow-colored masks!  I mean the colors aren’t important more importantly, I am protected...but let’s face it the color does matter in brightening up my day!

Black Jumpsuit OOTD

 

I don’t know about you but wearing jumpsuits are DIFFICULT!  Especially for moms who are always on -the-go.  As much as I complain about it, I have ore than 10 pcs of Jumpsuits (different colors and designs) in my closet!

As much as they are hard if you tend to pee a lot (sorry TMI), I like how easy it is to not worry about matching your tops and bottoms!  You can just pick a piece and off you go with the right pair of footwear!

This black number is my favorite because it is black, it has ribbons and zipper at the back!  I like to pair this simple black jumpsuit with a dainty ribbon!  Wearing my hair up will accentuate the design of the jumpsuit! What do you think?

I like wearing heels with this for a more formal event and rubber shoes when I am on a run for chores.  At home I also like to wear this because the top looks formal enough for sudden Zoom meetings.

123rd Independence Day to my Beloved Pilipinas!

I haven’t been doing nail art much when I turned into a mom but things are starting to go back to the usual....well, the nail art and nail polish application but NOT the super crazy nail art designs or complicated ones like my PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY Inspired Nail Art Tutorial Last 2011.

This particular nail art design inspired by the colors of Philippine Flag was done in less than 10 minutes with my inquisitive 8-year old son hovering around grabbing every single polish on my hand asking me: “What shade is this?” Constantly!  Hahahahaha

Thankful for Gel Polish as I was able to do everything and not worry about having my nail polish ruined!

I know people are more sensitive nowadays with anyone wearing the Philippine flag as clothing or people are even bashed using the flag as accessory.  So I don’t want to make people sensitive about this so I did not draw the Philippine Flag on my nails to respect the flat and its’ people.  I used the colors instead.  So please...don’t bash me :P

How to treat and prevent pimples. How to get perfect-looking skin!

 

Well, there’s no such thing as magic.  You have to make sure to eat healthy food, drink lots of water, exercise, stress-less, sleep at least 8 hours and lastly have good genes!  

Unfortunately, my advice is for people living in the perfect world!  Because of the pandemic, I am sure my advice goes straight to the trash bin!

Hairfall, hair loss, hair thinning —- these are just some of the hair issues I actually don’t worry about because my only hair concern was Dryness, Frizziness and uhm...white hair!

That’s what I thought.

Because of the pandemic I have been stressing about my parent’s health for the past year and of course, my son’s well-being.  I found myself sleeping normally at around 3am (earliest) or around 4am. NOT HEALTHY...not healthy.

So you think I have a full head of hair?  THINK AGAIN, I am a PRO Hairstylist so this was done with the help of hair tools!

With constant heating and styling, I also see a lot of hairfall in between styling!  Grabe, it gets more stressful than ever!  

Last year, I hosted a brand video called Hairreve, you can find the videos Part 1 and Part 2.  I learned so much about Hair loss and hair treatent from Dra. Rica Mallari of St. Lukes Medical Center.

For the base, I found a perfect color in Cathy Kathy No Soak Gel Polish in shade 13.  I used a gel polish underneath so I don’t need some waiting time to be able to draw on top of it!

Glossy Lips with NARS

 

90’s, early 2000s.

I remember wearing such lip color and texture and I would get complimented by my friends!  Yeah, my lips are full and thick, it is a bit too much to add up more gloss making me look like a girl who can’t stop eating oily food!  *hahaha*

Seriously speaking, there are certain types of glosses that woul work well on me and found another good one from NARS Brilliant Lip Gloss.

Unfortunately, on the website, it says LIMITED EDITION.  But I think they have permanent ones you can watch out for if you are reading this post late.  The lipgloss has a nice comfortable feel.  It gives off a mirror-like shine minus the stickiness.  Trust me, I dislike sticky glosses that gets attracted to my long hair strands!
