Curry can be cooked in so many ways!
The usual way, Filipino style is with "Gata" or coconut's milk.  Since not everyone in the family likes coconut milk, I've decided to create Japanese Style curry with Chicken Katsu as the main meat!

It was a winner!  Kyle loved the crunch and I love CURRY in general!

How to Rejuvenate Stressed Skin

As happy as I look and sound on Social Media, just like everybody else - I am stressed!  

I can't believe I am announcing this, but I really am!

Just like everyone else, I TRY to keep my stress at bay by playing games, watching Korean Series and cooking!  And because my tasks aren't as physically demanding as they used to, I was left with a whole lot of energy til wee hours of the night so I am a LIVING OWL sleeping at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning!  

My skin is obviously suffering!  

Zits are popping from nowhere, I am starting to see enlarged pores on my cheeks and dry patches (again) on forehead and chin!  

I have to do something, so here's my no fail method to rejuvenate wonky skin!  You won't see instant results, but this made me feel good!

Unboxing and First Try: Cathy Doll Beauty To Go

End of February, I received the newest products from Cathy Doll called Beauty To Go, which consists of mini versions of important makeup items - eyebrow pencils, eyeliner, lip and cheek color!  These are honestly enough to look at least made-up if you are on-the-go!  

I've tested this for weeks now, with the Lockdown Period in Metro Manila, I even got more chance to play around with makeup and I'm ready to share my thoughts on these new makeup items!

AMW Cooks: Seafood Bihon Recipe

I usually dislike to cook noodles because they always ended up "Dry" and I don't like noodles that are parched!

Finally learned the trick to boil the noodles in Chicken Stock and cook the sauce and pour it once the sauce is "semi-cool" so the noodles won't absorb the sauce as much anymore, this trick WORKS!

Ingredients: 1. Bihon Noodles (small Pack) 2. Seafood pack (bought from Supermarket) 3. Chopped Onion and Garlic 4. Oyster Sauce 5. Soy Sauce 6. Cornstarch Slurry 7. Cabbage

The Tooth Clinic Retiro Review

My teeth color has always been on the yellowish side for so many reasons ---genetics + food + my love for Coffee and tea.

I have tried teeth whitening service once and find the effect to be quite short for the effort I've been through.  I also tried purchasing teeth whitening products which also gave me short-term effect.

Since I am on the road to HOLISTIC wellness, that explains why I go to Centro Holistico for my well being + workout + monthly facials and massage.  I knew I had to do something about my teeth so it was perfect timing when I was invited by The Tooth Clinic Retiro to visit their clinic.  The clinic is close to my son's school and gym - perfect right?

The only thing that would complete the perfection is the service of the staff and of course --- the service had to work (or be effective).

Since I recently had my teeth cleaning in a separate clinic, I've decided to give Teeth Whitening a go! 

After looking at this photo, you'll probably say "Yeah, it works" and leave this blog post.  I hope not!  Hear me out on my experience after my first visit.

I had an early schedule 10:00 at The Tooth Clinic and I met Doc Cary, prior to going to the clinic, I've done my own research and read a lot of reviews both from Facebook and Youtube Vlogs.  I've read so many raves about this kind doctor and I was able to witness it myself.

In Her Element, a brand spearheaded by my Beauty Blogger friend Liz Lanuzo.  I knew Liz for a decade now, we started our Beauty Blogging journey reviewing various beauty products and Liz has always been very serious with her reviews and I look up to her on how she studies each ingredient. 

I am not surprised she came up with In Her Element and her skincare products (reviews HERE).  I obviously didn't blink an eye when she expanded her brand with lipsticks!

I'll leave it to Liz to understand my "dryness" issues.  A lot of lip products have been made available and most of them are so gorgeous but I couldn't wear them for a long time because of the matte finish.  Thankfully, someone came up with lip products that has the same gorgeous colors I want that are made available in matte formulation yet comfortable enough to wear even without the presence of lip balm! 

I don't know about you but I'm looking forward for more shades the brand has to offer.

The NEW Gloria Maris Greenhills

I could never count the number of times I dined at Gloria Maris Seafood Restaurant, it is the "it" place for wedding reception, Birthday parties, random reunion of friends and family and most especially - my dad's association annual get-together.

I love the food, the ambiance, everything felt so familiar!  The 8-10 dishes that arrive, bite after bite, the food seems to be endless.  Then my favorite memory will always be: "I am stuffed!  I don't want to eat anymore!"  Then the almond lychee dessert or Mango Sago would suddenly arrive and I would stuff my face once again.

But after several years, we stopped dining there when more and more restaurants are popping around the Metro.  I would look for newer dishes and newer flavors, Gloria Maris Seafood Restaurant was set aside for quite some time.

Then, I got an invite to visit THE NEW Gloria Maris Restaurant as it is now managed by Choi Garden, I knew I had to be there, I had to reunite with the well-loved restaurant of our household.

Keep in mind that the lunch was a 15-course meal but I was able to eat only less than 10 as I need to pick up my son in school, nevertheless I was stuffed and happy!

Two Tone Almond Seafood Soup

As for most Chinese restaurant, you'll see either Spinach soup or Sharksfin Soup served as starter.  The starting point of The New Gloria Maris already gave me a lasting impression.  This soup was unique in so many ways!

Firstly, I AM IN LOVE with Pumpkin Soup!  For a Chinese restaurant to serve Pumpkin soup seems a bit out of the ordinary --- what made this dish oriental is the part Almond soup that comes with this.  The waiter showcased his serving talent by serving each bowl with 2 sides of the soup!  Yes, he managed to do it effortlessly which leaves the whole table in awe.  

I love mixing both soup together and you get bits and pieces of seafood.  I love how both flavors blended well without overpowering each other.  It was a combination I never thought would be possible but it worked!

Hairstyle Tutorial: Big Curls (Korean Hairstyle)

I follow a lot of Korean Hairstylists in IG and wished to have them cut my hair because I love their trending hairstyle. 

I studied haircutting and learned a few tricks on hairstyling during my younger years and when I was actively doing Bridal.  Equipped with that knowledge, I've decided to experiement my own hair with different hairstyles because I am a Beauty Blogger like that!

I recently got hooked with Korean hairstyles and my love for natural and soft waves remains --- I've decided to create this romantic hairstyle using my 10-year plus old Remington 1.5 inch Curling Iron.
