Benefit Gogo Tint Review

I have tried ALL Benefit Tints because I've been loving the brand ever since I started Blogging.  Thankfully, the brand arrived just when I'm almost "blacklisted" from the Postal Office because I've been hoarding and shopping online too much!  

So thankfully, it was easier for me to try Benetint, Chacha Tint, Posie Tint, Lolli Tint.

Most of them, I purchased a full size after trying out their tester size and seems like their newest tint Gogo Tint is another one of those tints that will go to my collection!

AMW Cooks: Baked Cheesy Mussels

So here I am sitting in front of a box of Talley's Greenshell Mussels wondering what I'm going to do with it.  I'm used to just boiling fresh mussels straight from the market with loads of ginger and they'll taste perfect the way it was.

But there are days I want to just put them inside the oven and bake them!  What to do when you have a family member not into cheese?  A more subtle cheesy baked mussels!

Ingredients:

• Fresh mussles or purchase a box of Talley's Greenshell Mussels from supermarket (very yummy!)
• Chopped garlic
• Olive Oil
• Quick melt cheese

Clio Kill Cover Conceal-Dation Review

You all know by now how much of a concealer user I am.  Ask me to choose between foundation or concealer, I'd go for the latter!  But what if one brand offers both?

That's the recent discovery from my Club Clio visit at TriNoma mall.  As much as my heart was aiming for the out-of-stock Pro Artist Liquid Concealer, the friendly SA told me that for my particular skin condition (dry), the Kill Cover Conceal-Dation is my perfect bet!  

Because the product was in a box with a cute sponge (with casing), I was drawn to it and immediately got one!

Best decision made for the month of June 2017!

Why I Enjoy Visiting Shangrila Mall!

Whenever I have a meeting at Ortigas Area, I am happy whenever client says "Shangrila Mall".  First off, there's a good amount of parking spaces and I can always opt for Valet Parking if I'm lazy (which never happens by the way).  Second, the washrooms are extremely clean and you know how long it takes for me to travel from Manila to Ortigas, a bathroom break is NECESSARY.  Third, the place is quiet so I can easily talk to my clients and even catch up with friends!

During my recent trip at Shangrila Mall, I got even happier when I saw several Japanese-inspired displays!

AMW Cooks: Chicken Curry

Hi AMW friends!

One of my easy-to-do and feel-good recipe is Chicken Curry!  When I have the energy, I usually fry the meat (either pork or chicken) and separate the curry sauce.  On days I am too tired to do the extra work, I'd just dump a chicken together with the vegetables and curry sauce and just let it sit for a couple of hours for the flavors to seep in. 

For today's AMW Cooks recipe, it's my easy-peasy Chicken Curry.

Ingredients:

• Oil
• Onions
• Potatoes
• Carrots
• Chicken (chopped)
• Curry powder or cubes
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Cornstarch slurry (if needed)

Side story, ask me my favorite meat, my answer will always be Chicken!  Unfortunately, I do get allergic reactions to certain chicken so I am very particular with the brand of chicken that I purchase!  I usually go for fresh ones from the market but on most days when I need meat inside my freezer for back-ups, I go for Magnolia Chicken.  I usually purchase the free-range ones (Breasts and thighs are my favorite) but if I want to stock up on chicken meat, I'd go for the Whole Chicken to retain freshness and have them chopped the night before I plan to cook them!  That's why I'm so grateful when I was sent Whole Chicken from the brand that I personally buy and love!  Thanks Magnolia Chicken Philippines!

Cathy Doll Sculpting: Highlight & Shading Cushion Review

K-Palette Eyebrow Tint Review

Hear ye!  Hear ye! 

A unique brow product that will shorten your makeup application time!  

I got the K-Palette Lasting Eyebrow Tint from the 1 Day Tattoo series for quite some time and as much as I wanted to use these on my brows, I had a hard time for 2 reasons ---

• I am extremely tired at night I don't get the chance to do anything on my face these days.
• My brows are full so I can actually leave home without doing anything on my brows, I also hide them under my bangs whenever I bring my son to school!

But of course, I'm still on the radar with unique and effective products like these from K-Palette.  I actually gave them to my mom-in-law because she highly depend on brow tints because, she understood that #KilayIsLife .

Before the Lasting Eyebrow Tint to her, I tested these at the back of my hand first just to make sure it is effective before I let her do the testing.

Eureka Moment: Lip Balm To Love

You know how simple our needs are for our lip balms.  They only need to do ONE thing --- hydrate our lips.  

But I've tried gazillion of different brands of lip balms/lip conditioners through the years and all I can say is that, why is it so difficult to find THE ONE?  

Let's establish one thing for now --- my lips are ultimately dry so no matter how much raves a certain brand gets from other Beauty Bloggers, I usually don't get that impressed.  

So during my first visit at Club Clio, the marketing girl from the said brand (Hi Angel!) shared to me how much of a gem the PeriPera Moist Lip Balm is.  She said the magic word that made me grab the the product and put it in my basket without second thoughts: "It hydrates my dry lips so well PLUS it doesn't give me the glossy lips!"

The Body Shop and The Fight Against Animal Testing

Thanks to blogging I get to know a bit of background about Beauty Brands which I'm happy to share to you.

The Body Shop actually was the very first international brand to campaign against the practice of animal testing in cosmetics (1989 to be exact!) in partnership with Cruelty Free International which paved way to a European Union-wide ban on animal testing in 2013.  The campaign collected 1 million signatures and influenced the Asia Pacific Region to follow suit.




It is also unfortunate to know that Cruelty Free International estimates more than 500,000 animals are used for testing ingredients each year.  The testing of just ONE ingredients for deodorant, hair dye or sunscreen could involve the death of around 1,400 animals.  That is SO SAD :(

In every sad news, there is, of course, a light at the end of the tunnel.  The Body Shop added the Leaping Bunny Logo or "against animal testing" wordings on ALL The Body Shop products signifying that all products are certified by Cruelty Free International.

Max FactorX Velvet Matte Lipstick Review (25 Blush)

It's Monday once again and my extremely crazy week was over...but hey!  Today is the start of Kyle's Pre-K schoolyear so that does not give me the chance to sit back and relax.  All I can do is to create that Excited Feel of having another busy week ahead via black bullet called LIPSTICK.

One of the leading makeup brand that I'm accustomed with --- Max Factor introduced their new lipstick collection called Max Factor Velvet Mattes.  This comes in a range of 7 matte shades with soft and smooth formula which is said to leave the lips hydrated all throughout usage.

That is definitely what I'm aiming for!

The 7 shades available are called Nude, Sunkiss, Flame, Rose, Desire, Love and Blush (which I'm featuring today!)

I did a bit of research on the other shades and I'm glad to announce that this range may contain only 7 shades but it is a wide range of rose hued nudes, orange toned corals and deep raspberry reds.

I dine out a lot!  Not because I'm lazy to cook but that's how I bond with my parents and my parents-in-law!  Because I tend to eat out a lot especially on weekends, I am actually very aggressive in searching for new restaurants! (Hello Booky, Zomato, Munchpunch, etc...!)

When I got o my parents' place, I usually search for restaurants either Manila area or Quezon City.  One restaurant that caught my attention is called Blue Rocket Cafe + Kitchen located at Diliman QC.

Why this place?  Well, whenever I'm with my mom and dad, I want to make sure the place is not crowded, spacious enough for my dad's wheelchair and quiet enough for us to catch up!

Initial Thoughts: Eres Tu Sunscreen and BB Creams

Dear AMW Friends,

Happy Skin Eye Love View Too Microtip Eyebrow Pencil and Spoolie Review

I may have missed the launch of Happy Skin's Eye Woke Up Like This Collection launch (due to extremely crazy and busy schedule) but that doesn't stop me from reviewing another one of the product included in the collection.

You've probably read my review on the Say Eye Do Easy Eyeshadow  which got a thumbs up sign from me on how easy it is to use especially on morning rush!

Weekend Food Trip at: Tenya Tempura Tendon

Aside from Google and online Food Apps, the people I trusted most when it comes to good restaurants are Mr. AMW's colleagues!  They are definitely "foodies at heart" and whenever they rave about something through my husband, I make sure to visit the said restaurant.

One of the most raved restaurant for the season is --- Tenya Tempura Tendon.  The group traveled to Japan, tried the same restaurant there and came back and visited Tenya Tempura Tendon at SM Mall of Asia and gave the seal of approval.  

So I had to schedule our own visit with the family!  And so far, if you want me to keep it short, the experience was good!  What makes this unique?  The sauce that comes with EVERY meal!

AMW Workshop Series VI and VII: Thank You!!!

I finally had the chance to sit down and sort both my AMW Workshop Series VI and VII Photos!  First of all, THANK YOU LORD for giving me the energy, talent and passion to do the things I love most!  THANK YOU!

The month of June flew by pretty quickly and I almost thought I won't be able to pull-off both workshops on schedule!  But in God's grace, with the help of the sponsors and Team AMW, everything went smoothly!

This workshop is all about learning the tricks on how to do flawless Bridal Makeup Look, Bridal makeup is all about the base, creating extremely clean and flawless canvass PLUS using a lot of products without appearing like you're piling all of the makeup you own on your face!  This is one tricky workshop that I'm glad I was able to share my knowledge to the participants because this is definitely the field I concentrated on when I turned into a Pro MUA a decade ago.

A Cushion Foundation That Brightens Up My Face...

I got the VDL Beauty Metal Cushion Foundation with SPF50+ PA+++ last year and I can't seem to really use it on my whole face!  I actually use this because of the lovely coverage and brightening effect but I apply only on certain areas.  You'll know why after the jump!
